The application of boron (B) and phosphorus (P) is a major issue worldwide. In addition, most of the Pakistani soils fail to supply sufficient B and P to growing plants because of calcareous nature of soils. Conversely, a few bacteria have been reported as B tolerant but their characteristics for enhancing nutrients supply to plants have not been studied yet. Likewise, bioaugmentation along with mineral fertilizer is attracting worldwide scientific community. In this scenario, the application of controlled-release fertilizers reduces nutrient losses and improves nutrient use efficiency (NUE). A reduction of about 20-30% of the recommended dose of commercial fertilizer can be obtained by the use of controlledrelease fertilizers while maintaining same crop yield. The current research work is therefore aimed to develop a coated fertilizer for simultaneous application of B, P and bacteria to achieve maximum benefits by reducing fertilizer losses. For this purpose, first of all, six pre-isolated bacterial strains (S-5, MN-34, MN-42, MN-17, MN-54 and MN-13) were screened however, the Bacillus sp. strain MN-54 was found to be the most tolerant to higher levels of B. In the next step, effect of molasses and B concentrations was determined on P solubilization and auxin production by the strain MN-54. It was found that P solubilization was improved by increasing molasses concentration from control to 1% in NBRIP medium, whereas B did not significantly change P solublization by the strain MN-54 at tested concentrations (0-180 mM B). The bacterium was also capable of auxin, siderophores and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase production. Moreover, temporal release of B and P in soil was improved up to 37 and 30%, respectively, in native soil in the presence of strain MN-54, which further resulted in improved growth of canola. These findings led to the development of 0.5, 1 and 1.5% organically-complexed bioaugmented boron coated DAP fertilizer formerly named as DAP-B. The experiment conducted to investigate the temporal release of DAP-B formulations elucidated that the availability of B was improved by increasing the amount of B on coated product. It was also noted that 50 and 75% application of 1.5% DAP-B showed slower but higher release of P compared to conventional fertilizer, while B was readily available. After that, a pot experiment followed by a field experiment were conducted to investigate the effectiveness of different formulations of DAP-B over conventional fertilizers (DAP and boric acid) by analyzing the growth, physiology, yield, quality and oil content of Brassica napus (canola) and Brassica juncea (mustard). For this purpose, three formulations of 0.5, 1 and 1.5% DAPB were investigated at four different levels i.e. 25, 50, 75 and 100% compared to recommended level of DAP. Considerable increase in growth, physiology, yield, quality, B and P concentration in grains and oil content of aforementioned crops was observed in treatments where any of the three formulations of DAP-B were applied at recommended rates compared to conventional DAP. However, 1.5% DAP-B applied at 75% of the recommended dose of DAP was found most effective for both crops under observation compared to other treatments. In inference, the present approach not only enhances plant growth, yield and oil content but also brings environmental and economic benefits as, a complex fertilizer becomes available to plants by reducing fertilizer losses. Furthermore, availability of mechanical fertilizer minimizes the labor cost due to single application of aforementioned nutrients (B, P) at once.

The Study of Possible Shariah Non Compliance Risks of Ijarah Along With Their Risk Management Mechanism

The main objective of this research paper is the study of possible Sharīʻaĥ non-compliance risks (SNCRs) of Ijāraĥ along with their risk management mechanism. As the activity of Sharīʻaĥ non-compliance is negligence or failure to comply with the Sharīʻaĥ rules and regulations as well as for some extent, the breach of the law of the land. Hence, Identification, Monitoring, Control and Mitigation of SNCRs need to be undertaken sensitively otherwise the spirit and objective of Islamic banks (IBIs) will be no more than different from Conventional banking system i.e. Interest based banking. Consequently, this new practice of Islamic banking will also be considered Sharīʻaĥ non-compliant. Because, failure in control and mitigation of Sharīʻaĥ non-compliance risks (SNCRs) may render the transaction into Null and Void (Bāṭil) or Voidable (Fāsid) as well as the return/rental would be considered impermissible (Ḥarām). Additionally, it may expose the status of IBIs at high risk regarding their reputation, profitability and confidence of their stakeholders which may lead the system towards collapse and downfall. Keeping in mind the need of the identification of SNCR along with estimated risk management/mitigation tools, this paper is developed to help the industry to develop their own Sharīʻaĥ non-compliance risk management system and to achieve the targeted outcomes i.e. Sound reputation of Islamic banking on the basis of Sharīʻaĥ principles, permissible proceeds/profits through genuine Sharīʻaĥ compliant activities and comprehensive knowledgeable material to understand distinctive and accurate Islamic banking system from Conventional. Targeting the abovementioned goals and aims, the answers of following questions are explored: What is SNCR? Is there any approved and authentic mechanism or SNCR management system in market to manage and mitigate them? Is the SNCR destructive for the profit and goodwill of IBIs? Principally, this research paper is an effort to uncover the SNCRs of Ijāraĥ Product along with the risk management mechanism keeping in sight the modern practices of Ijāraĥ Product.

Stylistic Devices in Sylvia Plath: A Textual Analysis of 'The Bell Jar' and Selected Poems

Stylistic Devices in Sylvia Plath: A Textual Analysis of 'The Bell Jar' and Selected Poems This research is being conducted to investigate stylistic devices utilized to construct Sylvia Plath’s novel ‘The Bell Jar’ and selective poems from her early and later poetry. The researcher has mainly focused upon the textual analysis of her works. Sylvia Plath holds prominent stance as a post war American Poetess, her works are termed as confessional and slightly auto biographical, comprehensive details of her life are discussed in Chapter 1. Plath’s energy as a writer lies in her personal life experiences, most of her work is autobiographical therefore we are bound to review her personal life to analyze her works. She invested a lot of her energy into writing poetry but her only novel ‘The Bell Jar’ is a poignant prototype of a young women gradually seeping into the realm of mental breakdown. The whole book undergoes symbolism and cynicism in its many layers to unveil the harsh reality of depression and realization of social inequality. Sylvia Plath’s style of writing (in ‘The Bell Jar’) is very simplistic and easy to understand, but is also full of radiant detail..............Sylvia Plath has a pure voice that rings. She is witty. Her words have punch. She paces words well and she uses words well, precisely. A tale of a sane woman in an insane world, or is it anyway a great tale narrated with vivid imagery. The dark humor of the text is a counter to melancholy of the main character. (69:71) This simplistic style is transformed into complicated symbols and metaphors in her poetry. Sylvia Plath is a poet of decadence, death, misery, war, hunger, pain, suffering, angst, anger; passion, animism, and intense scorn are the key images of her works. Her style is also influenced by traditionalists. Her style is narrative and it usually has a first, second or third person narrators. Images of Death and Life for her poems are frequently inculcated in her works. Plath constantly uses metaphors or witty symbols for representation of her ideas. Plath’s works are marred with pessimism, deception, degradation and feministic retaliation towards the unjust hegemony of patriarchic society. Her work presents suffering and sickness for example ‘Cut’, ‘Fever 103 ̊’, ‘Plaster’ and ‘Tulips’. Even in the novel Esther is psychologically disturbed person on the verge of a breakdown, she even struggles to spend a normal healthy life. Though Plath’s works are termed as subjective projections of her own troubled neurotic self, still, her work holds universality of human emotions a feeling experienced by the oppressed classes or gender. The researcher concluded that “The Bell Jar” is a ground basis for her poetry there are many poems which bears references from the novel they will be mentioned in this paper.
