دوسرا حادثہ علامہ یوسف علی کی وفات کا ہے، وہ جدید تعلیم کی بہترین پیداوار بہت پرانے اور بڑے فاضل آئی سی ایس تھے، انگریزی پر ان کو اہل زبان جیسی قدرت حاصل تھی، وہ متعدد بلندپایہ کتابوں کے مصنف تھے، ان کی ایک کتاب کا ترجمہ ’’ہندوستان قرونِ وسطیٰ میں‘‘ کے نام سے اردو میں بھی شائع ہوچکا ہے، یہ ان کے ان لکچروں کا مجموعہ ہے جو انھوں نے ہندوستانی اکیڈمی الہ آباد میں دیے تھے، اگرچہ ان کا قالب مغربی تھا، مگر ان کا قلب ہمیشہ مومن اور ان کا قلم ابتداء سے اسلام کی خدمت میں مصروف رہا، ان کا سب سے بڑا علمی و دینی کارنامہ قرآن مجید کا انگریزی ترجمہ ہے، جو ادبی خوبیوں کے لحاظ سے انگریزی زبان کا شاہکار سمجھا جاتا ہے، اس کی ایک خوبی یہ بھی ہے کہ مترجم نے ان جدید مفسرین کے برعکس جو محض یورپ کی مرعوبیت میں آیاتِ قرآنی میں خود ساختہ تاویلیں کرتے ہیں، اپنے حواشی میں کوئی ایسی تاویل نہیں کی ہے جو سلف کے عقائد کے خلاف ہو، اس لئے دینی طبقہ میں بھی اس ترجمہ کو پسندیدگی کی نظر سے دیکھا گیا، اﷲ تعالیٰ اپنی کتاب عزیز کے اس خادم کو اس کی خدمت کا صلہ عطا فرمائے۔ (شاہ معین الدین ندوی، جنوری ۱۹۵۴ء)
Tafseer-e-Sanai is a briefexagies of Holy Quran which was written by Montana Sana Ullah Amratsari (D: 1 948) . It has eight short volumes but has been separated in two compilations the first one hasfour volumes (1-4) <£ the second one (5-8) has also four volumes. First edition was published in 1313. Hijri & had been completed in 1349 Hijri i. e in 1931. This work was completed in 36 years. First volume ofthis tafseer was published in the life time ofSir Syed Ahmed Khan, but also it was sent to him. That's why in its early volumes, there were so many answers in response to Sir Syed's thoughts. It is worth mentioning that Moulana Amratsari has responded in a good manner to Sir Syed. Moulana was affiliated with the sect of Ahle-Hadees but after attaining the education from different institutions several ofsects like, Darul Uloom Deoband Madarsa-e-Kanpur, (i. e Deobandi & Brailvi) , Moulana had been freedfrom any single sect. He is known as a scholar of Islam, this tafseer is a witness of it. The Style & method of writing Tafseer is very unique that is why its style was adopted by a known scholar, Moulana Ashraf Ali thanvi and Moulana Abdul Qadeer Siddiqi's translation was also inspired by it. The Quranic letters ( are mentioned with meanings in it and 28 translations of are also determined in different places in the beginning ofSurah.
The professional development of teachers has been key area of focus for different governmental or Non-Governmental organizations. These organizations sponsor/fund to education development projects that support the teacher professional development and institutional capacity development initiatives. The funding agencies mostly focus the areas where teachers have fewer opportunities of professional development due to lack or limited resources.
This study aimed to explore the changes that have taken place as result of professional development interventions initiated by a donor funded project in District Khairpur. This study was conducted in two WSIP Schools of District Khairpur, Sindh. For this study qualitative paradigm was applied using exploratory case study. In order to know mentee teachers’ teaching practices prior to the intervention, and the changes that have taken place after the professional development interventions. Six teachers and two head teachers were purposively selected as research participants.
The findings show that the teachers have brought about change in their teaching practices from traditional way of teaching to participatory approach of teaching. Teachers have improved their pedagogical skills and content knowledge; they have built a learning environment in the school. The teachers have become more self-reliant by attending the professional development sessions. The constant on-site follow-up support has enhanced their confidence level in planning lessons and activities. These professional development activities have also improved the physical condition of schools. Teachers have developed the learning resources from low cost materials and these resources are used in class classroom teaching.
