Non-Newtonian °uids feature in an extensive range of industrial and technological applica- tions including polymer processing, biotechnology, lubrication of aerospace and automotive vehicles and Nuclear thermo-hydraulics. Moreover, oblique stagnation point °ows have at- tracted some attention in recent years as they generalize the models used by engineers to include all possible angle of impingement of industrial °ows on solid surfaces. Motivated by simulating non-Newtonian multi-physical transport phenomena, the present thesis is devoted to the mathematical modeling, computation and subsequent physical analysis for non-orthogonal stagnation °ow of various type of °uid models namely Casson °uid model, Je®rey °uid model and Oldroyd-B °uid model which is a generalization of the upper con- vected Maxwell model. The governing equations for mass, linear momentum, heat (en- ergy) and concentration are modeled and then transformed by using applicable similarity conversions. The emerging strongly coupled nonlinear non-dimensional boundary value problems are solved with robust well-tested Runge-Kutta Fehlberg numerical quadrature and a shooting technique with tolerance level of 10¡5 and Keller box method, validation with Adomian decomposition method is also included. Comparison with the previous ex- isting published literature is also made and a very good agreement between the results is observed for limiting case. An extensive parametric study has been conducted to evaluate heat, momentum and concentration characteristics for the aforementioned °uid models. Mathematical modeling of these non-Newtonian models is presented with various physical e®ects such as mixed convection, thermal radiation, MHD, homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions and incorporation of nano°uids and micro-organisms. Results for physical quan- tities such as local skin friction, local Nusselt number and Sherwood number are depicted through graphs and tabular form. The obtained graphical results are discussed physically in a lucid manner. The result provides interesting insights into certain nuclear reactor x transport phenomena and furthermore a benchmark for more general CFD simulations. The present work retain signi¯cant validity in actual coating °ows and generalizes the conventional orthogonal case to the industrially relevant scenario of oblique °ow.

Chapter 2: Services of Theologians of Sindh

Introduction

In the Indo-Pak sub-continent, Sindh is the first of the zones where the advent of Islām was the earliest. Historically, the scholars here did a great work of intellect and research. In the year 270 A. H/883A. D, due to internal disturbance, so many small states came into being. [1]

Out of these, the state of Manṣūrah was taken over by the Ḥubārī tribe. Muslim ruler ‘Abdallāh bin ‘Umar Ḥubārī of Manṣūrah had sent a scholar to Hindū Rājāh of Alvar on his request who presented the translation of the Qur’ān in his court. This incident narrated by the famous historian Buzurg Bin Shehr Yār has also been endorsed by renowned historians of the sub-continent. [2]But nothing with certainty can be said about the symmetrical order and the dictation of this translation, however, it is certain that the honor of translating the Qur’ān the first of all lies with Sindh. [3]

In the era of Arghaun and Tarkhān, Makhdūm Nūḥ Hālāe’ (d:998 A. H/1589A. D) properly translated the Qur’ān in Persian which has become available in secured form despite the varying times. [4]

This translation, with the efforts and research of ‘Allāma Muṣṭafā Qāsmī (d:1424A. H/2003A. D) has been published by Sindh Literary Board Ḥyderābād. This translation was compiled even earlier than the translation of famous researcher Shāh Walī Allāh(d:1176A. H/1762A. D). In this regard, we are justified to opine that in the sub-continent the honor of the first translation in the Persian language also goes to Sindh. In that period, a movement among the Sindhī Scholars emerged that the Islamic literature and art be documented in the mother tongue Sindhī so that a...

Effects of Corporate Social Responsibility on Organizational Performance: A Conceptual and Literature Review

Sustainable development is considered as or can be one of the ways in achievement, progress, and benefit for organizations. Organizations use and utilize this source to require a system on which they can rely upon and keeping in mind the end goal to recognize openings and associated risks and to make, realize, control, and upgrade the sustainable goals of corporations which to be both progressively viable (for themselves and the overall population) and increasingly productive in terms of monetary. Based on the content analysis and literature review, this paper review and proposed the conceptual framework on the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its effect on Organizational Performance of Pakistan’s retail banks. It is conceptual type of research which possesses four hypotheses, first Independent Variable is CSR and Four Dependent Variables such as, Organizational Performance (OP), Financial Performance (FP), Employee Commitment (OC) and Organizational Reputation (OR) and these are not proven in this research. This paper suggests that by initiating the practices of corporate social responsibility can improve the performance of the organization and also increase its financial position, commitment level of the employees and improve the overall reputation or the company. Different literature suggests that this research could be done with primary as well as secondary sources sometimes the researchers have used mixed form of methodologies, this study is based on secondary data using internet which is one of the powerful tools to generate the data. Researchers conclude and give some suggestions for the future research work with the discussion on previous literature review.

Müntz Space Embeddings of Schatten-Von Neumann Class

This thesis contains results about the embeddings of M ̈ untz spaces in the Hilbert space scenario and its applications to composition operators on M ̈ untz spaces. In the main, we shall be concerned with the embedding M Λ 2 ⊂ L 2 (μ), where the Hilbert- M ̈ untz space M Λ 2 is the closed linear span of the monomials x λ n in L 2 ([0, 1]) and μ is a finite Borel measure on [0, 1]. After gathering together the mathematical preliminaries required for this work in Chapter 1, we shall use the notion of a sublinear measure introduced by I. Chal- endar, E. Fricain and D. Timotin [8] to investigate the properties of boundedness, compactness and belonging to Schatten-von Neumann ideals of these Hilbert space embeddings. This will be the content of Chapters 2 and 3. In Chapter 4, we give ex- amples of sublinear measures for bounded and compact embeddings with interesting properties. Finally, in Chapter 5 the general embedding theory is applied to initiate the study of composition operators on M Λ 2 .
