Quality and yield of major fruits grown in country are far below their potential despite of favorable climatic conditions. Average yield of apple orchards in Pakistan is alarmingly lower than other apple producing countries in the world. In the fruit crops, either nutrient use is below optimum or in imbalanced proportions. Micronutrient disorder along with nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium deficiencies are of economic significance in this regard. It is estimated that Fe and zinc deficiencies are widespread occurring in about 30 to 50% of cultivated soils on the world scale. Murree is the only apple growing region in the Punjab Pakistan. Geo-statistics and GIS as diagnostic norms have not been used for nutrient indexation in the apple orchards and were neglected from nutrition management point of view. A field survey was conducted to examine the spatial dependence of micronutrients and to prepare the spatial distribution maps for the micronutrients in the soils. Field trials were conducted for site specific zinc nutrition assessment. The specific objectives of study were: (i) Micronutrients indexation (zinc, copper, iron and manganese) of soil and foliage of apple orchards in Murree (ii) Mapping and geo-statistical analysis of micronutrients in apple cultivated Murree area (iii) Impact of zinc nutrition on apple yield and fruit quality parameters. One hundred and eighty soil and associated foliage samples were collected from 30 selected apple orchards using grid of 6×6 m. General deficiency of plant available zinc prevailed in the orchard soils of Murree area followed by slight Mn deficiency. Widespread deficiency of zinc existed in the foliage of apple orchards followed by site-specific deficiency of manganese, iron and copper respectively. Plant available 2 zinc, copper and manganese were moderately spatial dependant in the surface and strongly spatial dependent in the subsurface and lower soil depth whereas moderate spatial dependence of plant available Fe at three depths was observed. Moderate to strong spatial dependence allowed us to prepare the digital maps for spatial distribution of micronutrients in the area. Moderate to strong spatial dependence of plant available micronutrient indicated a need for the development of variable fertilizer (micronutrient) rate technology by conducting field trials in various zones delineated in this study. Field trials were conducted by selecting 6 apple orchards, two from each low, medium and adequate in soil zinc but low in foliage zinc content. Treatment plan included T1= Zn 0 g/ tree, T2 = Zn 20 g/ tree, T3 = Zn 30 g/ tree and T4 = Zn 40 g/ tree with the basal dose of NPK per tree. Zinc fertilizer application resulted in increase in the apple yield and yield components. Thirty gram zinc produced maximum yield in the low zinc soils while twenty gram zinc resulted in optimum yield in medium and high zinc soils. Zinc fertilization increased size, number, yield and firmness of fruit. Zinc application decreased titratable acidity and relative electrical conductivity. Significant interaction between the treatments and location manifested differential response due to native zinc content in the soils.

Mystical Treatises of Isaac of Ninerer
(1) Mohammeden de joden te Medina.
(2) Handbook of early Muhamaden tradition.
(3) Concordonce et Indices de la tradition Masulmane.
(4) The Muslim Creed.

The Synergy Of Islamic Banking And Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) To Strengthen Unbankable Business Capital

This study aims to determine the synergy that can be implemented between Islamic Bank and Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) to strengthen unbankable business capital and to assess the application of sharia contracts toward some products provided by BUMDes. The research methodology used qualitative analysis, primary data obtained from informants, namely one branch manager of Islamic Bank of Indonesian (BSI), Pekanbaru branch and 14 BUMDes leaders in Tambang District, Kampar. The results show that first: two forms of synergy can be implemented between BSI and BUMDes to strengthen unbankable business capital, namely BSI finances through BUMDes then distributed to the unbankable micro-entrepreneurs and BSI distributes directly to the unbankable micro-entrepreneurs based on  BUMDes recommendation then BSI provides a fee after BUMDes gives the guarantee, second: the application of sharia contracts toward some products supplied by BUMDes currently could use wadi`ah, mudharobah, musyarokah, murobahah, salam, istisna, ijaroh and wakalah.

Efficient Electrochemical Energy Conversion of Carbon from Coal and Waste

Direct carbon fuel cell directly converts the chemical energy stored in the fuel (carbon) to electricity. It is a high-temperature fuel cell having practical efficiency of 80%, normally operates at or above 700 oC with significantly low CO2 emission compared to coal burning power plants which release large amount of notorious gases NO2, SO2 and CO2. In this PhD research work main objectives are to synthesize combination of efficient electrolytes and electrodes materials not only operational compatible with carbon fuel, but also are electrochemical stable, having high conductivity and should provide excellent performance. Further, this thesis is divided into three parts; Electrolytes, Electrodes and theoretical calculation. Therefore, commonly used coprecipitation technique has been employed to synthesize various electrolytes, calcium doped ceria, single carbonate- doped ceria, binary carbonate-doped ceria, and ternary carbonate-doped ceria, barium co-doped ceria, calcium co-doped ceria, magnesium co-doped ceria and strontium co-doped ceria. However, in addition to electrolytes mainly two types of electrodes known as oxides LiNiCuZnO (LNCZO), LiNiCuZnFeO (LNCZFO) and perovskite LaSrNiTiO3-d (LSNT), LaSrFeTiO3-d (LSFT), LaSrCoTiO3-d (LSCT) and LaSrZnTiO3-d (LSZT) have been prepared using sol-gel technique. The prepared materials are characterized using various structural techniques; X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy, Thermal analysis, UV-Visible spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy, DC/AC conductivity and electrochemical performance. On the top of all characterization the XRD results reveal the prominent cubic structure of all the electrolytes and perovskite electrodes, whereas composite structure of LNCZO and LNCZFO is confirmed. Moreover, two types of carbon fuel categorized as coal based (lignite, bituminous, sub-bituminous) and waste biochar (walnut shells, almond shells) have been used to evaluate the overall electrochemical performance of direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC). xi Amongst all the discussed electrolytes (Li,Na)2CO3–doped ceria(LN-SDC) has shown the highest ionic conductivity of 0.31 Scm-1 with maximum performance of 617 mWcm-2 in combination of LNCZO electrode at 600 oC forhydrogen as fuel and air as oxidant. Secondly the combination of co-doped ceria electrolyte calcium co-doped ceria (CSDC) and LNCZFO electrode had depicted the performance of 630mWcm-2 at 650 oC with hydrogen fuel, where as co-doped ceria electrolyte (CSDC) has shown highest ionic conductivity of 0.124 Scm-1. Nevertheless in comparison above mentioned electrolytes LN-SDC with LNCZFO electrodes exhibited a performance of 58mWcm-2 for sub-bituminous fuel. Instead of obtained power densities of the cell comprised of cathode-electrolyte- anode (LSCF|LN-SDC|LSFT) are 78,73,57,29 and 26 mWcm-2 at 700 oC with fuel as sub-bituminous, walnut shells, almond shells, bituminous and lignite respectively. The prepared LSFT and LSCT also have been tested as cathode which shows good performance with carbon fuel. Further to elaborate, theoretical calculations using Density Functional Theory (DFT) technique are performed to co-relate the effect of structure, dopant radius, lattice constant of doped system, density of states and band gap with the experimental results and at some point both DFT simulation and experimental results have shown the best match in terms of increase in lattice constant by decreasing band gap
