We have investigated the dynamics of staged pinch plasma using different types of stability criterion with a view to suppress Rayleigh-Taylor (R-T) instability. Fusion parameters in a staged pinch plasma device are estimated by considering double-gas puff as well as multicascade liner (N-multiple shells of finite thickness) system. First of all, the implosion dynamics of dense D-T fiber plasma driven by a double gas-puff z-pinch is examined in the presence of kinetic pressure. A modified snow-plow model has been used to describe the outer dynamics of imploding z-pinch plasma. We found that the inclusion of kinetic pressure introduces the usual plasma β-term. Our numerical results demonstrate that the fusion parameters can be achieved in a dense θ-pinch D-T fiber plasma for an optimum choice of density ratios of the test to driver gas at the interface position and the kinetic to magnetic pressure ratio. We expect that double gas- puff staged pinch device would be a more feasible approach to achieve fusion conditions with an enhanced stability. Since the shell thickness of the imploding plasma liner plays an important role in the stabilization of short-wavelength perturbations, causing R-T instability. First, we consider the implosion dynamics of a double-cascade configuration of two nested cylindrical shells with some initial radii and puff thicknesses that are imploded towards the axis under the action of J×B force. In order to achieve high density plasma at the final stage of collapse, D-T fiber plasma was seeded with high-Z Kr impurity so as to initiate radiative collapse. We choose different puff thickness so as to achieve stable implosion satisfying the criterion proposed by De Groot et al., [17]. Then we have also generalized the work by considering that the imploding z-pinch plasma is made up of discrete N-multiple shells of various thicknesses, radii and mass densities so as to reduce the total growth rate of R-T instability at the final stage of implosion. Our numerical results show that the plasma parameters of the D-T fiber sensitively depends upon the shell mass ratios and thicknesses. Large values of puff-thickness and mass-ratios provide stabilization against the R-T instability in the final stage of compression but adversely affects fusion conditions. For optimum values of puff-thicknesses and mass ratios, one can obtain fusion parameters of interest in a multicascade liner staged pinch device. In our zero- dimensional code, we have used typical parameters of Sandia National Laboratories for which the amplitude of discharge current was 10 MA, with a pulse duration of 50 nsec. We have also used sinusoidal type current profile. To make our model calculations more realistic, we have used current stepping technique, which uses the circuit coupled equation. In this technique, a single current step is added to the primary pinching current. We found that with current- stepping method, one can obtain very high density and high temperature plasma with relatively small values of driving current (kA) which are delivered in μsec time scale. Thus for optimum choice of scaling parameters, staged pinch device with current-stepping technique seemed to be a more feasible approach to achieve fusion conditions.

Association of COVID-19 with obesity Association of COVID-19 with obesity

COVID-19 is a disease that cause respiratory illness due to novel corona virus. It was reported to WHO on December 31,2019 for the first time. The outbreak of this disease started from Wuhan city, China. Now COVID-19 pandemic is spreading worldwide mostly in Europe and North America, these regions have high prevalence of obesity. In the pathogenesis of COVID-19 disease, obesity assumes a significant job. Theinsusceptible framework, which is official in the pathogenesis of COVID19, assumes asignificant job in weight instigated fat tissue aggravation. In the fat tissue the irritationbrings about metabolic brokenness conceivably prompting dyslipidemia, type 2diabetes mellitus, insulin obstruction, hypertension and cardiovascular sickness. Obesity has been expanded the vulnerability to contaminations. In this pandemic, a large number of obese individual with Covid-19 are reported. Infection rate in obese is greater due to poor immunity, comorbidity and inadequate nutritional needs. Statistical analysis showed that about 41.7% patients reported in New York city were obese. Whereas 40% obese have been reported in United State of America with Covid-19. A report from UK indicated that 38% obese were admitted in ICU with Covid-19. According to Chinese researchers, obese individuals are 3-timesmore prone toward the development of Covid-19. So recent analysis indicated that obesity is the major risk factor of Covid-19. In COVID-19, overweight and obese patients have high danger of metabolic difficultiesand eternal infections that stoutness works. More nutrition care is required for such patients. As nutrition is a key factor for keeping up human wellbeing, for example, denseimpervious framework and satisfactory admission of supplements and dietaryenhancements. Tolerant with COVID-19 create contamination from slight to seriousindications bound to the dietary status. Consequently, assessing wholesome status ofindividuals with contamination turns out to be increasingly significant. Through dietaryhelp, we can bring down the danger of oxidative pressure, infection contamination andexpands invulnerability framework among obese people especially.

Stratification of White Matter Hyperintensities in Young and Middle Age Adults Using Hydrogen Magnetic Resonance H-Mr Spectroscopy

Objective: The objective of this study was to stratify white matter hyperintensities on the basis of neuronal integrity in young and middle age adults by comparing the level of N-acetyl aspartate and creatine ratios in white matter hyperintensity lesions and normal appearing white matter using hydrogen magnetic resonance (H-MR) spectroscopy at 1.5 Tesla(T) Methods: Fifty consecutive patients who fulfilled the inclusion criteria aged 18-50yrs who were referred for magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of the brain at the Radiology department of Aga Khan University Hospital over a six month period between January and June 2011 were included in the study. These patients had undergone routine MRI brain using the department protocol and were found to have white matter hyperintensities ≥5mm and no other intra-axial abnormalities. The patients underwent MR spectroscopy of the white matter hyperintensity lesions and a corresponding region of normal appearing white matter at 1.5 Tesla. Ratios of N-acetyl aspertate/creatine were compared for the white matter hyperintensity lesions and normal appearing white matter. The NAA/creatine ratios of the white matter hyperintensities and normal appearing white matter were analyzed and inferences made regarding neuronal integrity, clinical presentation and location of the white matter lesions. Results:Fifty patients, 25 male and 25 female were included in the final analysis. Thirty nine (78%) patients showed lower levels of NAA/creatine ratios in the white matter hyperintensities compared to normal appearing white matter. Eleven (22%) patients showed higher levels of NAA/creatine ratios in the white matter hyperintensities compared to normal appearing white matter. Paired T test showed a statistically significant difference between the NAA/creatine ratios in the white matter hyperintensity lesions compared to normal white matter(p value of Forty seven (94%) sampled lesions were in the subcortical and deep white matter compared to 3(6%) lesions in the periventricular location. There was no statistically significance difference in the ratios of NAA/creatine between the periventricular and deep white matter lesions. Forty seven (94%) of the study patients presented with headache . Twelve (24%) presented with dizziness. No correlation was found between the levels of NAA/creatine ratios and clinical presentation. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that white matter hyperintensities in young and middle age adults are associated with actual neuronal destruction. These patients should be investigated to define the aetiology and if possible interventions to reverse or prevent further neuronal damage.
