Resolvability in graphs has appeared in numerous applications of graph theory, e.g. in pattern recognition, image processing, robot navigation in networks, computer sciences, combinatorial optimization, mastermind games, coin-weighing problems, etc. It is well known fact that computing the metric dimension for an arbitrary graph is an NP-complete problem. Therefore, a lot of research has been done in order to compute the metric dimension of several classes of graphs. Apart from calculating the metric dimension of graphs, it is natural to ask for the characterization of graph families with respect to the nature of their metric dimension. In this thesis, we study two important parameters of resolvability, namely the metric dimension and partition dimension. Partition dimension is a natural generalization of metric dimension as well as a standard graph decomposition problem where we require that distance code of each vertex in a partition set is distinct with respect to the other partition sets. The main objective of this thesis is to study the resolving properties of wheel related graphs, certain nanostructures and to characterize these classes of graphs with respect to the nature of their metric dimension. We prove that certain wheel related graphs and convex polytopes generated by wheel related graphs have unbounded metric dimension and an exact value of their metric dimension is determined in most of the cases. We also study the metric dimension and partition dimension of 2-dimensional lattices of certain nanotubes generated by the tiling of the plane and prove that these 2-dimensional lattices of nanotubes have discrepancies between their metric dimension and partition dimension. We also compute the exact value of metric dimension for an infinite class of generalized Petersen networks denoted by P(n; 3) by giving answer to an open problem raised by Imran et al. in 2014, which complete the study of metric dimension for the class of generalized Petersen networks P(n; 3).

پیدائش و ابتدائی تعلیم:
رشید حسن خان اتر پردیش کے ضلع شاہ جہاں میں 1925ء میں پیدا ہوئیا و ر وہاں ابتدائی تعلیم مدرسہ بحر العلوم سے حاصل کی۔آپ کے والد کا نام امیر حسن اور دادا کا نام علی حسن تھا۔ اعلی تعلیم سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد آپ نے اپنی تمام زندگی تحقیق و تدوین میں صرف کر دی۔ انہوں نے اپنی تمام ترخواہشوں اور خاندانی رشتوں کو بھی تدوین پر قربان کر دیا۔بہت سے امراض لاحق ہوتے ہوئے بھی تحقیق و تدوین کے کام کو جاری رکھا۔
ملازمت:
16 اگست 1959ء دہلی یونیورسٹی کے شعبہ اردو سے وابستہ ہوئے اور تادم مرگ تحقیق و تالیف کے سلسلے کو جاری رکھا۔ان کی خواہش تھی کہ آنے والی نسلیں ان کی تدوین کردہ کتابوں سے مستفید ہوں اور وہ ان سے متاثر ہو کر تحقیق و تدوین کی روایت کو آگے بڑھائیں۔
تدوینی معیار:
رشید حسن خان کی تحقیقی تداوین جدید تدوینی اصولوں پر مبنی ہوتی ہیں۔یہی وجہ ہے کہ اردو ادب کے کلاسیکی مدون رشید حسن خان کو گیان چند نے خدائے تدوین کہا ہے۔
تحقیق و تدوین کا ذوق و شوق:
رشید حسن خاں کو تحقیق و تدوین کا اس درجہ شوق تھا،کہ وہ جس شہر میں جاتے تھے سب سے پہلے وہ اس شہر کے کتب خانوں کا دورہ کرتے تھے۔وہ ان کے کیٹ لاگ دیکھتے ،قدیم نسخوں کے اندراج نوٹ کرتے، اور وقت ضرورت مختلف کتابوں سے عبارتیں نقل کرتے تھے۔وہ جب بھی کسی دوست کو خط لکھتے تھے تو اس میں بھی کتابوں کے تعلق سے کچھ نا کچھ ضرور رقم کرتے تھے۔اس طرح سے اپنی تلاش و جستجو جار ی رکھتے تھے۔

ڈاکٹر وھبۃ الزحیلی کے تفسیری آراء کی روشنی میں اسلام کے عادلانہ نظام کا تحقیقی جائزہ

It is an admitted fact that Islam is “Universal Din” and a complete code of life. Its universality and conciseness is proved from Quran itself. Quran identifies the universality and surmounts it upon all over other Ady┐n and says, “And He sends his messenger along with righteousness and fait Din-e- ╓aq, so that surpass it upon other Dins, though it will be unpleasant for the polytheists”. The Holy verses shows and argues that Dine- Islam is a superior to all other Dins, it may be through love, arguments, conclusiveness or through state and governed on its completion Quran says, “Today I completed your “Din” for you along with all the blessings and liked Islam as a Din for you”. In a nutshell, the above two mentioned the Holy verses indicate clearly the universality and comprehensiveness, because the “Din” which will be superior and must be universal and precise. Islam is the only religion which is beneficial for all mankind in each and every aspect. Its universality is declared that it is a surety for mankind prosperity. Allah says in His Holy Book, “The Holy Quran” that do justice as it is more nearer to piousness. Allah has described “Justice twenty six times His Holy Book and it is also among one of His qualities. All these show the importance of justice.

Corporations Choice for Issuing Sukuks over Conventional Loans: ?A Case of Pakistani Corporate Sector?

The securitization of sukuk (Islamic bond) has attract different researcher to understand its nature. This study was undertaken to identify the determinants of sukuks for the firm who intend to issue this security for the very first time in Pakistan. It is important to understand that why would firm issue sukuks over the choice of conventional bank borrowings which has long been used in the Pakistani financial market. The predictors undertaken for this study are, firm internal funds ability the return on investment, capital investment in tangible assets, firm size, conventional bank borrowing to total liabilities, market to book ratio, and leverage. The study introduced a new determinant in the case, the interest coverage ratio as proxy of financial distress for the firm decision for issuing sukuks. Census data of 13 firms were observed which remained listed on KSE from 2005 till 2015 that include the period before Sukuk were floated in Pakistan?s financial markets. The study employed Panel Least Square Models; OLS, White Cross-Section covariance and Coefficient, Model, FE Model and RE Model. Both the likelihood ratio and Hausman test has favored FE model as consistent and efficient model. The study revealed empirically that firm prefers its internally generated funds as first choice of financing as per pecking order theory, the firms makes mutually exclusive choice among conventional bank borrowing and sukuk financings, and it prefers sukuk financing when they are dealing under financial distress. The study also found that sukuk being asset based financing scheme is preferred when firms are growing their fixed assets over already available capital and reserves.
