افسوس ہے کہ گزشتہ مہینہ ایک بڑی محترم شخصیت شاہ مصطفی احمد صاحب ردولوی نے انتقال کیا۔ گو ان کو پبلک میں کوئی شہرت حاصل نہیں تھی، لیکن ان کی زندگی مسلمانوں کے لیے نمونہ تھی۔ وہ حضرت مخدوم احمد عبدالحق ردولوی قدس سرہ کی اولاد میں تھے۔ اﷲ تعالیٰ نے ان کو دین و دنیا دونوں سے نوازا تھا۔ وہ علی گڑھ کالج کے پرانے تعلیم یافتہ تھے۔ اکاؤنٹسی کی تعلیم کے سلسلہ میں ان کا قیام لندن میں بھی رہا تھا، مگر بڑے راسخ العقیدہ اور دیندار مسلمان تھے، تہجد کی نماز تک کبھی ناغہ نہ ہوئی، لندن کے قیام کے زمانہ میں بھی روزے نماز کی پابندی میں فرق نہیں آیا، اس زمانہ میں جب تک ذبیحہ کے متعلق پورا اطمینان نہ ہوجاتا تھا گوشت نہ کھاتے تھے، سبزی اور انڈے پر قناعت کرتے تھے، پہلی جنگ عظیم چھڑنے کے بعد ایمڈن جہاز سے واپس آرہے تھے جس کو جرمنی نے تارپیڈو کردیا تھا، اس کے جو مسافر بچ گئے تھے، ان میں ایک شاہ صاحب بھی تھے، انھوں نے کل سامان چھوڑ کر صرف کلام مجید ساتھ لے لیا تھا۔
انھوں نے معمولی حیثیت سے ترقی کی اور بڑی دولت پیدا کی اور اسی فیاضی سے اس کو مذہبی و ملی کاموں اور غرباء و مساکین پر صرف کیا، ان کے در سے کوئی مستحق واپس نہ جاتا تھا، اہم کاموں کے لئے بڑی رقمیں دے دیتے تھے، خواجہ کمال الدین مرحوم کو کلام مجید کے جرمن ترجمے کے لیے دس ہزار روپے دیئے تھے، تحریک خلافت کے زمانہ میں خلافت کمیٹی اور اس کے لیڈروں کی بھی مدد کرتے رہتے تھے، اس زمانہ میں ترکوں کی مدد کے لیے ہندوستان میں جو انگورہ لیجن قائم ہوا تھا، اس کے پرجوش رکن تھے، مسلم یونیورسٹی سے پرانا تعلق تھا،...

This research shows the value of tolerance in Islam, which is the basis of the ethics of the religion of Islam. This great value has created the bonds of love and harmony between Muslims and all human beings. This was the main reason for spreading the message of Islam to various parts of the world without coercion. There have been many attempts to accuse Islam of intolerance, terrorism and intimidation. Hence, this research is concerned with showing the truth about the ethics of Islam and its noble high values.  To achieve the desired goal, the research was divided into an introduction, a preface, three chapters and a conclusion.  The introduction addressed the importance of the topic and the reason for its selection. In the preface, the meaning of the word "tolerance" was shown and compared with the Quranic words used in this topic. In the first chapter, the researcher deals with the value of tolerance is the origin of Islam. It characterized the Prophet Muhammad (prayer and peace be upon him). The second chapter says tolerance is the cause of the spread of Islam, and the voluntary entry of people into it. The third chapter shows that tolerance is the root of solving problems and resolving all forms of conflict between nations, individuals, parties and groups. The researcher in conclusion suggests the most important findings and recommendations.

Religious and Social Life of Religious Minorities

Pakistan is a diverse society with varied ethnic and religious minorities. Pakistan is an enormously plural country characterized by religious, sectarian and ethno-linguistic diversities. It has an overwhelming Muslim population comprises more than ninety-six percent of its 182 million people follow Islam. Islam is declared the state religion of Pakistan. There are religious minorities who identify themselves as non-Muslim Pakistanis. The constitution of Pakistan is a safeguard for the minorities which provides religious and social rights to the minorities. Two of the minorities which are not in much limelight in Pakistani society are the Bahá’ís and the Parsis. Both are said to be the religions living in the diaspora. It appears a good case study of the religions in migration. They are living in a very small number in Pakistan but remain successful in keeping their identity. Socially and religiously, both the communities are enthusiastic to follow the respective religious traditions and practices. The status of the social life of these two religious minorities of Pakistan and their role in Pakistani society is not very much evident. These communities share similarities and differences. The differences overshadow the points of agreement. This study is conducted on the social issues of different but selected religious communities and minorities. This study aims to identify consistency and transformation in the social status of the Bahá’ís and Parsis of Pakistan. An attempt is made to analyze the factors responsible for the change in the social status. It is concluded and analyzed that there is a significant difference between these two minorities. This study is aimed to analyze these religions in Pakistan on ethnic identity and on the institutional parameters v identified and applied by these communities themselves, i.e. the individual, community and institution. Objectives of the study are to understand the history, social status and current situation of these religious communities of Pakistan as well as their practices and socio-religious and economic aspects. Furthermore, the research is an attempt of ethnographic description of the two communities in which the researcher tried to render a ‘true to life’ picture of what people say and how they act.
