Myocardial infarction (MI) was induced in rabbits by isoproterenol (85 mg/Kg body wt.). Five indigenous plants Allium sativum, Allium cepa, Zingiber officinale, Terminalia arjuna and Moringa oleifera were selected to prepare 64 possible combinations. Native as well as gemmomodified plant extracts of selected parts of Allium sativum, Allium cepa, Zingiber officinale, Terminalia arjuna and Moringa oleifera were prepared and combined to make treatment combinations against isoproterenol induced MI. Both the preventive & curative ways of treatment were employed on different treatment groups prepared by placing 140 healthy rabbits in specific groups. The effects of different plant combinations were assessed through the serum level of biochemical markers at calculated time intervals. Plant combinations decreased the isoproterenol induced rise in biomarkers as CK-MB, LDH, ALT, AST, ALP, total cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, urea and uric acid to the level of these parameters in C1 and C2 control groups as compared to C3 (isoproterenol group). Sharp decrease in the level of enzymes/parameters was observed in class III (GP: combination of gemmo extracts used in preventive way) followed by class I (GC: combination of gemmomodified extracts used in curative way). Out of 64 combinations of five plants, 16GP (gemmomodified combination of Allium sativum, Allium cepa, Zingiber officinale, Terminalia arjuna and Moringa oleifera used in preventive mode) gave the excellent cardioprotective potential followed by 16GC (gemmomodified combination of Allium sativum, Allium cepa, Zingiber officinale, Terminalia arjuna and Moringa oleifera used in curative mode) throughout the study. Findings were further strengthened by gross and histopathological studies. Isoproterenol also affected the organs other than heart as liver, kidney and lungs. There was no genotoxicity imposed by any of the combinations as biomonitored by Comet Assay. GC-MS analysis revealed the presence of 4-(4-hydroxy-3methoxyphenyl)-2-butanone, n- Hexadecanoic acid and oleic acid as actively curing constituents with antioxidant and cardioprotective potential in 16G. The 16G (gemmomodified combination of Allium sativum, Allium cepa, Zingiber officinale, Terminalia arjuna and Moringa oleifera) was further applied on human volunteers suffering from chronic tachycardia and hypertension. There was a significant decrease in pulse rate and blood pressure in the patients who were treated with 16G in combination with inderal (inderal+16G) as compared to patients who were treated with inderal and 16G separately.

ہند بنت ابی امیہ سہیل بن المغیر ہ بن عبداللہ بن عمر بن مخزوم کے شوہر نے ہجرت مدینہ کی ، تو ہند ان کے ( شوہر ابو سلمہٰ) ہمراہ نہ تھے ۔
کیونکہ ام سلمہؓ کے میکہ والے مزاحم ہوئے اور انہوں نے اسے روک لیا ،ام سلمہ ؓ اپنے گھر واپس آئیں تو ان کے شوہر ابو سلمہ ؓ کے گھر والوں نے اس سے بچہ چھین لیا ، جس کا نام سلمہ تھا ۔وہ اپنے بچہ سے بچھڑ گئیں ۔ وہ روزانہ گھر سے نکل پڑتی اور ابطع میں بیٹھ کر رویا کرتی تھی ۔ سات آٹھ دن بعد ابطع سے ان کے خاندان کا ایک شخص نکلا ۔ اس نے ام سلمہ کوروتے دیکھا تو اس کا دل جذبہ ترحم سے بھر آیا ۔ گھر آکر لوگوں کو جمع کر کے کہا کہ اس پر ظلم کیوں کرتے ہو ؟ اسے جانے دو : اور ساتھ ہی اسے بچہ دے دو ۔ لوگوں نے بات مان لی اور بچہ ام سلمہ ؓ کے سپرد کر دیا اور مدینہ جانے کی بھی اجازت دے دی ۔ وہ تنہا سفر کر رہی تھی ۔ تنعیم کے مقام پر کلید بردار کعبہ عثمان بن طلحہ جو ابھی مشرف بہ اسلام نہیں ہوئے تھے ، انہوں نے سیدہ سلمہ ؓ سے پوچھا ، کہاں کا ارادہ ہے ؟ انہوں نے کہا ۔مدینہ ۔ انہوں نے پوچھا : کوئی ساتھ ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا ’’ خدا اور یہ بچہ ‘‘ ۔انہوں نے اونٹ پر سوار کر لیا اور خود مہار پکڑ لی ۔ جب قباء کی آبادی پر نظر پڑی تو عثمان نے کہا ’’ اب تم اپنے شوہر کے پاس چلی جائو، وہ یہیں قیام پذیر ہیں ‘‘ ۔ سیدہ سلمہ ؓ قباء کو اور عثمان مکہ کو روانہ...

Seerah is a separate Islamic science from Hadith as their primary sources are different. Although there are some extents where there is over laying between them, but traditionally Seerah has different principles as compared to Hadith. The Scholars of Hadith were very strict in applying their rules whereas the scholars of Seerah were more flexible. The reason is, when academics were dealing with Ahadiths and deducingdivine rulings, they wanted to make sure they were founding the rulings on Ahadiths that were authentic and sound. So that is why they applied very stringent rules to accept Ahadith. However, when it came to Seerah, they were more flexible in their rules, because they study this as history of The Prophet PBUH which does not touch the Sharia rulings. So, we find that writers of Seerah would accept narrations, they would not usually accept if they were dealing with Ahadith. This practice with Seerah narrations was followed by our early scholars. But recently, there is a new movement among some of our researchers that they wanted to apply the rules of Ahadith on Seerah. We do not agree this approach and in this article, we have had a humble effort to compile a set of rules for acceptance of Seerah narrations.

Order Properties of Product Spaces and Quotient Spaces of Ordered Topological Linear Spaces

Very few we find in literature the order properties that product spaces of ordered linear spaces and ordered normed spaces carry from their component spaces. Some authors have studied certain order properties of ordered linear spaces which are carried by their quotient spaces. A little work is done in connection with the order properties of ordered normed spaces that the quotient spaces inherit from their parent spaces. In this thesis we have studied several order properties of ordered linear spaces and ordered normed spaces that are preserved with or without conditions in the formation of products. We have also studied several order properties of quotient spaces of ordered linear spaces and ordered normed spaces by discussing inheritance of order properties of the parent space X to its quotient space X/E. This thesis consists of six chapters. Chapter 1 includes some basic definitions and results. Chapter 2 provides almost all possible results available in 108the literature regarding the topological properties that are preserved in the formation of products. Chapter 3 is about the quotient spaces and includes several results available in the literature for the quotient spaces of (i) topological spaces (ii) linear spaces (iii) topological groups and (iv) topological linear spaces. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 include the research work. Six research papers have been published from the work contained in these chapters; out of which four are published in the journals approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Two more research papers are being submitted in some journals of international repute. Chapter six also includes the research work and presents only results from a past publication.
