افسوس ہے کہ گزشتہ مہینے میں ہمارے ضلع اور شہر کے مشہور قومی کارکن، کامیاب وکیل اور اچھے شاعر جناب امجد علی غزنوی کا انتقال ہوگیا۔ انھیں اقبال سہیل اور مرزا احسان احمد سے مشورہ سخن کا شرف حاصل تھا۔ ان کے گھر پر اکثر نشستیں ہوتی تھیں اور انھوں نے بعض بڑے مشاعرے بھی کرائے۔ ان کا مجموعہ کلام ’’صہبائے خودی‘‘ بھی زیر کتابت تھا، تعلیمی کاموں سے بھی بڑی دلچسپی تھی۔ اپنے وطن محمدپور میں ایک دینی مدرسہ اور انٹر کالج ان کی یادگار ہے۔ شبلی کالج کی مجلس انتظامیہ کے ممبر اور ایک زمانے میں سینئر نائب صدر تھے۔ دارالمصنفین سے بھی تعلق تھا، یہاں برابر آتے تھے۔ مولانا مسعود علی ندوی کی سفارش پر کانگریس نے ۱۹۶۲ء میں انھیں ٹکٹ دیا تو صوبائی اسمبلی کے ممبر ہوئے۔ مگر اب سیاست کے گرے ہوئے معیار اور خود کانگریس کے رویے سے خوش نہیں رہتے تھے۔ بڑے باغ و بہار شخص تھے۔ دوسروں کی خدمت اور مصیبت زدہ لوگوں کی مدد کرکے خوش ہوتے تھے۔ قدرت نے انھیں دردمنددل اور بے چین طبیعت بخشی تھی۔ خود کہتے ہیں
اک دل درد آشنا و اک نگاہِ حق نگر
اور کیا اس کے سوا امجدؔ سے دیوانے میں ہے

Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) was used to assess the delivery of support to education initiatives in the municipality of Banga, Aklan, Philippines. The samples were determined using multiple application of stratified random sampling approach. In accordance with the Philippine Statistical Authority's Data on Census Population and Housing for 2015, barangays having a bigger share of the population contributed more respondents to the 150 targeted participants. Following the inclusion criteria, the probability respondents were chosen using the Kish Grid. Pre-numbered questionnaires were distributed, with odd numbers targeting male responders and even numbers targeting females. The following criteria were used to evaluate the respondents' assessments: awareness, availment of the program/service, satisfaction, and need for action. Furthermore, interviews were conducted to better understand and investigate the respondents' thoughts, behavior, and perspectives. The reasons for their reaction were also obtained. The data was provided in percentage as well as frequency distributions. The study inferred that awareness on alternative learning system and/or special education program should be improved since it is the only program that attained low rating for awareness. Most of the residents were not able to avail education programs because they have no household member who attends school. Majority of the respondents who availed the services were satisfied. However, scholarship and other assistance programs to students may be enhanced to improve service delivery. It is highly recommended by the citizens to improve accessibility to scholarship programs and other forms of financial assistance to students.
Current study was conducted in two phases to estimate the effectiveness of different concentrations of calcium lactate, citric acid and ascorbic acid alone (Phase-1) and in integration of modified atmosphere packaging (Phase-II) on the quality and shelf life of fresh-cut papaya cubes. In 1st phase papaya cubes were treated with different concentrations of calcium lactate .citric acid, ascorbic acid at 4oC±2oC and analyzed for different physiochemical characteristics (firmness, color, weight loss, TSS, pH, acidity and organoleptic characteristics) at each four days interval to choose the most effective combination of various concentration. Whereas, in the 2nd phase, best performing concentrations of various additives in 1st phase packed in two different packagings (air packaging and MAP) and analyzed for various physiochemical characteristics (firmness, color, weight loss, pH, acidity, TSS, calcium, Poly phenol oxidase activity, ascorbic acid, total plate count and sensorial attributes) after each four days interval to find out the most effective treatment in extending the self-life of fresh-cut papaya cubes. As a result, in first phase, 2.4% calcium lactate combined with 1.7% citric acid and 2.4% calcium lactate combined with 1.7% ascorbic acid maintained firmness, delayed color degradation and maintained the other characteristics of papaya cubes for longer shelf life. However, in the second phase, 2.4% calcium lactate and 1.7% citric acid integrated with modified atmosphere packaging ( CO2 10%, O2 5%, N2 80%) exhibited the best results to delay color degradation and maintained sensory properties throughout the storage period (24 days) at 4 ±2oC
