This research work describes the synthesis and characterizationof some novel thiazolopyrimidine, pyrazole, stilbene-triazine derivatives and that of a tropane auxiliary. The in vitro and in silico studiesof synthesized compounds were also carried out. § Synthesis of thiazolopyrimidine derivatives (56-67) was carried out by one-pot multicomponent acid-catalyzed reaction of ethylacetoacetate and 2-aminothiazole and benzaldehyde substituted with electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups with the aim to find some more potent antidiabetic and antibacterial drugs. An in vitro antidiabetic effect was evaluated in adult male BALB/c mice and antibacterial activities were tested against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Some of the tested compounds proved to possess good to excellent activities compared to the reference drugs. An in silico molecular docking was also performed on synthesized compounds. The current study is expected to provide useful insights into the designof antidiabetic and antibacterial drugs and understanding the mechanism by which such drugs interact with RNA and diabetes target and exert their biochemical action. § A series of phenylhydrazono-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one derivatives (68-91)were conveniently synthesizedby the reaction of different anilines with ethylacetoacetate or acetylacetonefollowed by treatment with phenyl hydrazine. § Synthesis of pyrazole carboxamide derivatives (92-101) was carried out by multistep pathway starting from the reaction of substituted anilines and diethylmalonate. The resulting intermediate was then treated with benzaldehyde to afford ethyl 3-phenyl-2-(phenylcarbamoyl)acrylate which was converted to pyrazole derivatives by reacting with hydrazine hydrate. In vitro antidiabetic studies showed thatsome compounds possess better activities than the reference drugs and thederivative (94) having 2,4-dichloro substituents on phenyl ring was found to be most potent compound and was identified as the lead molecule for furtherstructural modifications. § A series of new optical brighteners (102-113)were efficiently synthesized by a facile three-step approach. 2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine was treated with different anilines and the resulting dichlorotriazinyl intermediates were further condensed with 4,4´-diaminostilbene-2,2´-disulfonic acid followed by nucleophilic substitution with ethanolamine to furnish new hybrid brighteners. UV/Visible absorptions were determined using freshly-prepared solutions in deionized water. The synthesized optical brighteners were also assessed for their efficacy as fluorescent brightening agents. § Synthesis of new thiourea-based bis-monochlorotriazine optical brighteners (114-125)was effected out by multistep synthetic pathway in good yields. § An efficient synthesis of some thioureas (126-145) was also accomplished.Substituted benzoyl chlorides were reacted with potassium thiocyanate to give the corresponding isothiocyantes intermediates, which on addition of separately-synthesized amino-2,4,6-triphenylpyridine, afforded thiourea derivatives in good yields. § In order to synthesize the enantio-pure α-alkylated aldehydes (which are widely recognized as important building blocks in asymmetric induction) from tropane-derived enamine, a highly efficient asymmetric multistep synthesis of a tropane auxiliary (153)was developed. § All the synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of their physiochemical parameters and spectral data.

Assessment of Interfaith Harmony Between Muslims and Hindus in Socio-Cultural Activities in Swat

This research work investigated the interfaith harmony and social cohesion between two different religious followers of Hinduism and Islam in District Swat of Pakistan. The current world is facing various kinds of issues and challenges regarding interfaith harmony, peace and social cohesion. This is need of the time to establish a peaceful and harmonised day to day life standard for all the segments of society. This research was an effort to analyse the willingness among the Hindus and Muslims for enhancing their tolerance towards each other’s social and cultural activities. It also aimed to highlight the positive approach of the respondents towards the participation in the socio-cultural activities of each other. The results of association of social cohesion showed nonsignificant relationship with an opinion that Hindu and Muslim communities should take part in socio-cultural activities particularly the sports. Similarly, non-significant relationship was found based respondents’ data with an opinion that relations between Hindus and Muslims shall enhanced through participation in cultural and religious ceremonies. The result further concluded that there was peaceful and harmonised environment between Hindus and Muslims being living in the target area. The minorities were fully enjoying freedom and equality in District Swat. Based on the findings of the study, positive social interaction, mutual respect, positivity in thinking and positive role of local media have been recommended as policy guidelines for promoting inter-faith harmony.

Intersectional Soft Set Theory Applied to Ordered Semihypergroups

Throughout this thesis, which contains seven chapters, Z will denote an ordered semihypergroup, unless otherwise stated.Chapter one, which is of introductory nature provides basic definitions and reviews some of the background materials which are needed for the subsequent chapters. In chapter two, definition of int-soft subsemihypergroup and int-soft left (resp., right) hyperideals are introduced. Characterizations of different classes (regular, intra-regular, right weakly regular and weakly-regular) ordered semihypergroups in terms of int-soft hyperideals are given. In this respect, discuss the study of semisimple ordered semihypergroups and characterize it in terms of int-soft hyperideals. The notions of convex soft set and critical soft point are also given. Moreover introduce the notions of (?,?)-int-soft hyperideals and their basic properties are discussed in this chapter. In chapter three, give the concept of int-soft interior hyperideals and characterize simple ordered semihypergroups in terms of int-soft interior hyperideals and int-soft hyperideals. Moreover characterize semisimple ordered semihypergroups in terms of int-soft interior hyperideals. Furthermore, introduce the notion of (?,?)-int-soft interior hyperideals of ordered semihypergroups. Finally, introduce the notion of (?,?)-int-soft simple ordered semihypergroups and characterize it in terms of (?,?)-int-soft hyperideals and (?,?)-int-soft interior hyperideals. In chapter four, the notion of int-soft bi-hyperideals is introduced. Moreover give the characterization of (regular, right weakly regular, intra-regular and right weakly regular, intraregular and left weakly regular) ordered semihypergroups in terms of int-soft bi-hyperideals. Furthermore definitions of prime, strongly prime, semiprime, irreducible and strongly irreducible int-soft bi-hyperideals are given. Finally, characterize ordered semihypergroups by the properties of these notions. In chapter five, definition of int-soft generalized bi-hyperideals is given and the related properties are discussed. Furthermore, characterize some classes in terms of int-soft generalized bi-hyperideals.In chapter six, definition of int-soft quasi-hyperideals is given and discuss some basic properties of int-soft quasi-hyperideals. Characterize (weakly regular, intra-regular and left weakly regular) ix ordered semihypergroups in terms of int-soft quasi-hyperideals. Moreover characterize regular, left (resp., right) simple ordered semihypergroups in terms of int-soft quasi-hyperideals.In chapter seven, the notion of int-soft left (resp., right) hyperfilters is introduced. Numerous related properties are investigated. Moreover, define completely prime int-soft hyperideals of ordered semihpergroups. Finally, characterize int-soft hyperfilters in terms of completely prime int-soft hyperideals.
