Conducting polymer blends and nanocomposites constituting conducting polymers (CPs) have fascinated noteworthy considerations for both academic and industrial research due to their important and captivating applications. In the current endeavor eight different series of nanocomposites of conjugated polymers have been efficiently fabricated via layer by layer in situ oxidative polymerization i.e. NF-G & F-G/PANi/PSMA/ODA, FG & FG-NH2/PANi/PMMA/PPG-b-PEG-b-PPG, NF-G & FG/PPy/PEG/PSMA/MDA, FG & FG-NH2/PPy/PVC/PDA. The fabrication of nanocomposites of polyaniline (PANi) and poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)cumene terminated (PSMA), polypyrole (PPy), polyethylene glycol (PEG) and poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)cumene terminated (PSMA), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(propylene glycol)-b-poly(ethylene - - - - - - - 1 -phenylene diamine (PDA) as crosslinking agent with non-functional and functional graphite as filler was performed. For each series we studied the influence of various feeding ratios by varying weight % of CP (2%, 5% and 10%). Physical characteristics of resultant nanocomposites were evaluated by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray photon spectroscopy (XPS), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD) respectively. The thermal, electrical and surface area properties of the conducting polymer blends and nanocomposites were also investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET) analysis. Relative to non-functional composites, functional composites displayed more improved characteristics such as exhibited higher thermal stability and improved electrical conductivity by the incorporation of modified graphite. According to the differential scanning calorimetry the glass transition temperature, melting temperature and crystallization temperature of the composites increases with the incorporation of modified graphite. FG-NH2 in resultant nanocomposites play an important role in forming conducting network in matrix indicating synergistic effect between polymer matrices and filler. The DSC studies are also complimented by X-ray diffraction results. The PMMA copolymer chains can stabilize the growth of PANi chains by the formation of hydrogen bonding between imine groups in PANi and carbonyl groups in MMA units and by providing sites for electrostatic interactions. Moreover, the electrical conductivity of nanocomposites was also found to be a function of CPs loadings. However, nanocomposites possessed higher conductivities values ascribed to the presence of thermally more stable and electrically conductive modified graphite in composites. According to four probe test, the conductivity of ultimate nanocomposites increased dramatically. The composites constituting higher mass ratio shows increased electrical conductivity performance. Newly fabricated series of conducting nanocomposites may act as useful contenders in industrial appliances such as polymer Li-ion batteries.

مفاتیح الغیب (تفسیر کبیر) میں سورۃ التوبہ کی تفسیر میں وارد موضوع احادیث کا علمی مطالعہ

Mafatiḥ - al- Ghayb (The Keys to Unknown) by Imam Fakhr-ul-Din-Al Rāzi (born 544-606, Ray Iran – died 1149- 1209, Iran) is a well known classical scholarly commentary of the Qur’ān, written in Arabic. The exegesis of  Imam Rāzi  explain each  passage of the Qur’ān by mentioning reports and narration (athar from the prophet, his companions (sahabah) and the immediate generations following  the companions (Tabi’un). Imam Al Rāzi accumulated a big treasure of explanatory tradition which is extracted from many books. He compiled all the reports and narrations that he could gather for each particular passage without concentrating  on their authenticity  which resulted in compilation of many weak, unauthentic and even fabricated reports chipped into his tafsir on which he kept silent. Tafsir. The present article critically analysis the tafsir portion from Surah al Taubah and discusses the fabricated reports detected during the investigation.

Characterization of Rice Husk Ash Polymer-Modified Concrete

Concrete is being utilized as construction material in the construction industry worldwide. Nevertheless, it has some inherited deficiencies in terms of tensile strength, flexural strength and durability; such deficiencies lead its limitation on application for repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. In order to improve the inbred limitation of concrete, additives like; blast furnace slag, fly ash, rice husk ash, silica flume and other pozzolans are being blended in its production. In fact, inclusion of these materials not only improves the concrete, but also utilizes the abundantly generated wastes thereby contributing to the environmental cleansing. In addition to that lowering of the construction cost and reduction of CO2 emission can be achieved to a relative extent. The utilization of RHA as a cementing material in concrete improves compressive and tensile strength of concrete to a greater extent. Polymeric compounds are being added in concrete to improve strength and durability, but limited utilization of such compounds is reported because of their cost. Hence a new composite, i.e. „Rice Husk Ash PolymerModified Concrete‟ (RHAPMC) is envisaged to use RHA as a supplementary cementing material so as to make concrete more economical and to mitigate some persistent environmental problems. Moreover, for enhancing impermeability of RHA blended concrete a re-dispersible polymer powder is added. The present study is mainly concerned with the techniques necessary to develop and characterize RHAPMC matrix. In the first phase of this study, cement is replaced with extracted locally available RHA which is obtained under different temperatures and burning durations. For in-depth characterization of the extracted RHA, in terms of chemical composition, loss on ignition and strength activity index has been carried out. It has been found that the extracted RHA at a temperature of 800oC for 2hr duration is more efficient as pozzolanic material. Chemical composition, strength activity index and loss on ignition meet the requirement of a pozzolanic material to be used in concrete as per ASTM C 618 standard. Cement was replaced with RHA (800oC-2hr) at dosages of 1 to 15% by weight of cement to study workability, compressive and tensile strength of concrete. A significant strength improvement at 10% replacement of cement with RHA is obvious in experimental outcome but impermeability decreases. In the second phase to improve the impermeability and to further increase strength of RHA blended concrete 1 to 15%dosages of re-dispersible polymer powder (RPP) was added. Workability, compressive strength, tensile strength, bond between steel and concrete, unit weight, water absorption, water permeability, carbonation effect and corrosion potential were investigated. Furthermore, to examine performance of RHAPMC matrix, standard size beams were cast with developed material and load carrying capacity, deflection and mode of failure were examined. It is found that beams cast with RHAPMC improved load carrying capacity with more deflection and prolonged ductile failure as compared to control beams. Based on the conducted research it can be concluded that the investigated physical, mechanical and durability properties of RHAPMC produced with 10% cement replacement by RHA and the inclusion of 5% RPP (by wt. of cement) along with 0.8% super plasticizer (by wt. of total binder) significantly improved than that of control concrete.
