Keywords Dysprosium complex · Tri-ethanolamine · Benzoic acid · Magnetic measurement Abstract A dysprosium complex,[Dy2 (TEA)2(O2CPh)4·2H2O] has been synthesized using TEA (tri-ethanolamine) and benzoic acid. The obtained complex is a dimer in which both of the TEA is linked with two dysprosium ions through the protonated oxygen atoms and the resultant molecule is Centro symmetric. The nature of bonding and structure of the synthesized dimer was explored from infrared, magnetic studies and single crystal X-ray crystallographic technique. The crystal structure of the complex has triclinic crystal system and P-1 space group. Unit cell parameters are: a = 10.0931(4) Å, b = 10.8841(5) Å, c = 10.9441(5) Å, and α = 73.915(2)°, β = 74.833(2)°, γ = 67.764(2)°, V = 1052.54(8) Å3, Dx = 1.801 Mg/m3 and Mr = 1141.84. The complex possesses small value of coercivity which indicates that it is a soft ferromagnetic material and can resist with external magnetic field without becoming demagnetized.

5 جولائی 1977ء کو ضیا ء الحق نے وطن عزیز میں مارشل لا ء نافذ کیا۔یہ حقیقت ہے کہ اس مارشل لاء کو عوامی حمایت حاصل تھی۔ ضیاء دور میں اسلامائزیشن کےلیےبہت ٹھوس اقدامات کیے گئے۔ اس عہد کا ایک بڑا کارنامہ اسلامیہ جمہوریہ پاکستان میں حدود قوانین کا نفاذ ہے جواسلامی نظریاتی کونسل نے تقریباً ڈیڑھ سال کی جہد مسلسل کے بعد پانچ مسودات کی صورت میں پیش کیا۔ ان مسودات پر عمل درآمد کا مقصدبراہ راست معاشرے کی اخلاقی اقدار کے تحفظ اور جائیداد کی حفاظت سے تھا،یعنی ان کی تنفیذ سے مقاصد شریعت کا تحفظ ممکن تھا۔ ان سفارشات کے ذریعے چوری ، ڈاکہ ، زنا، قذف اور شراب نوشی وغیرہ جرائم سے متعلق مروجہ قوانین کو بدل کر اسلامی قوانین کا نفاذ کر دیا گیا اور ان جرائم کے ارتکاب پر قرآن وسنت کی مقرر کردہ سزائین نافذ کر دی گئیں ۔ 12 ریبع الاول 1399 ھ کو رسول اللہ ﷺ کی ولادت با سعادت کے دن بمطابق مورخہ 10 فروری 1979 ء کو ضیاء الحق نے ایک صدارتی حکم نامہ کے ذریعے مند رجہ ذیل حدود قوانین کا اجراء کیا:

An Analysis of Global Integration and Economic Growth Nexus: Evidence from Pakistan

The following research examines economic growth potential from the perspective of globalization for Pakistan. The empirical results are estimated using the ARDL model over the period 1970 to 2018. The study reports the time before and after the openness to the world. The country opened up its borders quite late in the 80s. The results demonstrate that, in the short term, globalization negatively affects economic growth, but that, in the long run, it boosts economic growth. Globalization has assisted Pakistan's economic progress since the country opened its borders and economy to the rest of the world, but not to too much extent, what it could. Furthermore, research findings demonstrate that government spending and physical capital improve economic growth, however, inflation has a detrimental impact on Pakistan's economic growth.

Synthesis and Characterization of New Bioactive Palladium Ii Complexes

In the present study, 62 heteroleptic Pd(II) complexes have been synthesized by reacting PdCl2 with sodium dithiocarbamate salt and different organophosphine in mixed solvent system of methanol and acetone. The different dithiocarbamate ligands used were sodium salt of dibenzylcarbamodithioate (L1), (4-chlorobenzyl)(4-methylbenzyl)carbamodithioate (L2), benzyl(cyclopenta-1,3-dien-1-ylmethyl)carbamodithioate (L3), 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine-1-carbamodithioate (L4), 4-benzhydrylpiperazine-1-carbamodithioate (L5), dimethylcarbamodithioate (L6), diethylcarbamodithioate (L7), and bis(2-hydroxyethyl)carbamodithioate (L8). The organophosphines used were triphenylphosphine, diphenyl-p-tolylphosphine, tri-p-tolylphosphine, tris-p-chlorophenylphosphine, tris-p-fluorophenylphosphine, tri-o-tolylphosphine, tri-m-tolylphosphine, tris(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine, tricyclohexylphosphine, chlorodiphenylphosphine, 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane and 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane. These complexes were characterized by different spectroscopic techniques like elemental analysis, FT-IR, multinuclear (1H, 13C and 31P) NMR and single crystal XRD. DFT calculations were also carried out for some representative complexes (1-10). The neutral complexes (1-42) showed a pseudo square planar geometry around palladium metal with two cis sites occupied by a bidentate dithiocarbamate moiety forming four-membered chelate ring (PdS2C) and the remaining two are occupied by a chloride and a monodentate organophosphine. However, in the cationic complexes (43-58) the latter cis positions are occupied by the phosphorous atoms of the bidentate organophosphine. The chlorodiphenylphosphine was oxidized in the aforementioned solvent system and unexpected products were obtained with two phosphine oxide attached to the metal center through phosphorous in cis position (59-62). Some of the representative ligands and complexes were screened for in vitro cytotoxic activity against human liver cancer cell line (HepG2) using MTT 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide methods using doxorubicin as standard drugs. Generally, the heteroleptic Pd(II) complexes comprising bidentate organophosphine, {1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane and 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane}, fluoro and iv uncoordinated group (carbonyl and oxygen) were found to be most active as compared to the standard drug (doxorubicin). The selected Pd(II) complexes were also evaluated to check their cytotoxicity using brine shrimp assay. The highest activity was found for compounds containing oxygen and fluoro substituents.
