Phthalonitrile resins are high temperature thermosetting polymers, which are considered ideals materials for marine, aerospace, and electronic applications. The synthesis of phthalonitrile monomers with self-catalyzing nature and with large processing window – defined as the temperature between the melting temperature of the monomer and the gelation temperature of the polymer network–, are gaining much more importance because of ease in processability and high thermal stability. In the present study, some novel phthalonitrile resins were synthesized using ortho- linked phthalonitrile monomers and self-catalyzing phthalonitrile monomers with different linkages such as: ether, imide-ether, and amide-ether between the reactive ends. All the synthesized monomers were characterized by spectroscopic techniques such as FT-IR, 1 H-NMR and 13 C-NMR. FT-IR indicated absorption peaks around 1522 and 1355 cm -1 and around 1010 cm -1 indicated the formation of triazine and phthalocynine rings (heterocyclic rings formed as a result polymerization) respectively after post curing. The thermal analyses were carried using DSC, TGA, DMA, and Rheometery. DSC and rheometric studies showed that the monomers with ortho linkages have low melting point and high crosslinking temperature. In self-catalyzed monomers, the monomers having amino group at ortho position or 1,2-linked (ortho) monomers have broad processing window. The complex viscosity (η*) was very low (<1 Pa.s) in between melting and the crosslinking temperature, which is highly suitable for resin transfer molding, resin infusion molding, and filament winding. TGA studies revealed that the resin synthesized from the monomer with heterocyclic ring shows high thermal stability and residual mass (char yield). The thermal stability of the polymer having ether or imide-ether linkages are nearly the same but more than the polymer having amide-ether linkage, indicating the effect of crosslinking density and structural changes. DMA measurements showed that storage muduli (E'') and glass transition temperature (Tg) enhance with the increase of curing temperature. These meaurements also indicated that the polymers having imide-ether and amide-ether linkages have higher storage moduli than the polymers have only ether linkages.

Race represents a specific caste, creed and a generation of a common ancestor. It has been a source of identification among different tribes and group of people, since humankind started life on this earth. With the passage of time different races have started using their racial backgrounds as negative sentiments which created superiority and inferiority complexes among people. Concepts of chosen people aroused in different races which created great gap, differences and hate in the society. The current research work is based upon the concept of superiority in Hinduism and Judaism, which will be further reviewed in the light of Islamic teachings.

The Unification of Product Lifecycle and Industry Life Cycle: A Strategy Framework for Telecom Sector in Pakistan

The purpose of this study is to develop a strategy framework using the unified life cycle model (Product lifecycle and Industry life cycle). As this study is descriptive in nature and it has used multi-staged mixed methods. At first stage qualitative data was collected through interviews and focus groups while at a later part of the research quantitative data was collected from the marketing managers of telecom sector (N=100). This study provides numerous benefits over earlier studies. Firstly, both Product Life Cycle (PLC) and Industry Life Cycle (ILC) have shown weaknesses and limitations. This research has unified both PLC and ILC into one Unified Life Cycle (ULC) combining the strengths and reducing the weakness of both life cycles. Secondly, earlier studies failed to provide any integrated strategic framework of selecting appropriate marketing strategies; using both PLC and ILC in silos. The current research provides an integrated strategic framework for strategy selection using both PLC and ILC and has studied the telecom sector in Pakistan. Finally and probably most importantly this study has devised a Unified Life Cycle model showing an integrated strategy map and depicting appropriate marketing mix strategy to be used for each stage of the life cycles. Two methodological improvements also make this research as distinct achievement as compared to earlier work on this subject area. Firstly, earlier studies only provide four stages of PLC and ILC each. This research has divided each stage PLC and ILC into two stages Early and Late for each stage. This provides more in-depth and focused analysis. Secondly, earlier studies have focused on theoretical methodologies while this research has involved both academicians and practicing managers as experts. This has increased the worthiness of this piece of research for both academicians and practicing managers.
