The present study was conducted on different accessions of Moraceae to evaluate the genetic variation in them on the basis of morphological and biochemical attributes as well as by using molecular markers (SSR and ISSR). The developmental genes cup shaped cotyledons (CUC2) were also studied in order to confirm their functional status. For morphological, biochemical and molecular studies mulberry fresh leaves were taken and all the parameters were taken in replicates. Morphologically leaves of the majority of the accessions had light green color, acute tip, and soft surface along with cordate shaped leaves. The others had lobed shape, dark color, doubly serrate or dentate, acuminate and coarse leaves. There were significant differences in means of lamina length, lamina width and leaf area index. In biochemical analysis, the carbohydrates content was the highest in Korean subni (3.7626±0.204 cm) followed by Morus nigra(3.728±0.1795 cm), Morus latefolia (3.643±0.2458 cm) and P.F.I (3.568±0.3057 cm). Punjab II (1.704±0.1695 cm) showed the lowest carbohydrates content. The protein contents of Kanmasi Japan (1.7007±0.0049 cm) were higher as compared to Punjab-II-punjab (1.4030±0.0455 cm). The higher values of carbohydrate and protein content revealed that the leaves had the more palatability for silkworms. Lun-40-punjab showed the highest total phenolic content. Phenolic play a key role in traditional medicines. The maximum IC50 value was of Morus indica(172.21 mg/g) followed by Morus alba(152.7 mg/g) and PFI (122.4 mg/g). Punjab II Punjab (11.6), Kanmasi Japan (11.5) showed the minimum and same amount of anti-oxidant activity. One of the developmental genes CUC2 was observed in seven Morus strains. This strategy produced good-quality sequences, which were analyzed and compared to each other and to theCUC2c sequence of the reference M. notabilis strain. The sequencing results showed that the mean distance present in the overall sequence pairs xvii was 0.017. Molecular diversity between thirty accessions was checked through DNA markers i.e. SSR and ISSRs by the use of different softwares (NTSYS PC 2.2, Minitab, Statista, R) The SSRs produced 15 polymorphic bands out of 25 (60%) SS18 and MULSTR1 showed best results with the highest PIC and hundred percent polymorphism while the least was shown by SS04. It was also obvious that pic of SSR was somehow less than ISSR. The analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) gave P value of 0.6434. The ISSR markers showed more polymorphism with more PIC value. The P value obtained from the results was 0.1089, while CV was 35.7. Our diversity results proved that all group were somewhat distant

The personality of Allama Iqbal is the integral part of the religious and national thinking of the Muslims of subcontinent,  and for Pakistanis along with a religious thinker he is also the person who gave the idea of Pakistan. Because of this legacy Iqbal is considered as the founder of a school of thought in Pakistan's academic atmosphere. The magnitude of this position and importance is evident from the fact that the people of different intellectual backgrounds and ideologies have been seeking evidence from Iqbal in support of their arguments. So even the proponents of socialist ideology or the holders of the thought of negating the legal status of Hadeeth have tried to prove Iqbal as a torch bearer of their stance and saw their struggle as a continuation of his (Iqbal’s) thinking. But it is a general rule that a person, especially the one who is a prominent figure and there are a lot of themes that are present in his thoughts, cannot be judged on the basis of only some of his works. So declaring Iqbal as the negator of legal status of the Hadeeth because of some of his writings is not a fair academic activity. This paper would study the actual view of Iqbal about the legal status of Sunnah as well the place of Prophethood in his thoughts and try to figure out whether his stand in this regard is in accordance with the traditional concept o1r it is different and if it is different then how much is it different?

Generalization of Mixed Means and Related Results

Inequalities lie at the heart of a great deal of mathematics. G. H. Hardy reported Harald Bohr as saying ‘all analysts spend half their time hunting through the literature for inequalities which they want to use but cannot prove’. Inequalities involving means open many doors for analysts e.g generalization of mixed means fallouts the refinements to the important inequalities of Holder and Minkowski. The well known Jensen’s inequality asserts a remarkable relation among the mean and the mean of function values and any improvement or refinements of Jensen’s inequality is a source to enrichment of monotone property of mixed means. our aim is to utilize all known refinements of Jensen’s inequality to give the re- finements of inequality among the power means by newly defined mixed symmetric means. In this context, our results not only ensures the generalization of classical but also speak about the most recent notions (e.g n-exponential convexity) of this era. In first chapter we start with few basic notions about means and convex functions. Then the classical Jensen’s inequality and the historical results about refinements of Jensen’s inequality are given from the literature together with their applications to the mixed symmetric means. In second chapter we consider recent refinements of Jensen’s inequality to refine inequality between power means by mixed symmetric means with positive weights under more comprehensive settings of index set. A new refinement of the classical Jensen’s inequality is also established. The Popovicui type inequality is generalized using green function. Using these refinements we define various versions of linear functionals that are positive on convex functions. This step ultimately leads us to viiviii the important and recently revitalized area of exponential convexity. Mean value theorems are proved for these functionals. Some non-trivial examples of exponential convexity and some classes of Cauchy means are given. These examples are further used to show monotonicity in defining parameters of constructed Cauchy means. In third chapter we develop the refinements of discrete Jensen’s inequality for con- vex functions of several variables which causes the generalizations of Beck’s results. The consequences of Beck’s results are given in more general settings. We also gen- eralize the inequalities of H ̈older and Minkowski by using the Quasiarithmetic mean function. In forth chapter we investigate the class of self-adjoint operators defined on a Hilbert space, whose spectra are contained in an interval. We extend several re- finements of the discrete Jensen’s inequality for convex functions to operator convex functions. The mixed symmetric operator means are defined for a subclass of positive self-adjoint operators to give the refinements of inequality between power means of strictly positive operators. In last chapter, some new refinements are given for Jensen’s type inequalities in- volving the determinants of positive definite matrices. Bellman-Bergstrom-Fan func- tionals are considered. These functionals are not only concave, but superlinear which is a stronger condition. The results take advantage of this property.
