The internet has become an attractive avenue for global e-business, e-learning, knowledge sharing, etc. Due to continuous increase in the volume of web content, however, it is not practically possible for a user to extract information by browsing and integrating data from a huge amount of web sources retrieved by the existing search engines. The semantic web technology aims to answer this and many other information extraction related issues by providing a suite of tools for integrating data from different sources. To take full advantage of semantic web, however, it is necessary to annotate existing web pages with semantics. Another difficulty that logically arises while accessing information over the web is the presence of unstructured, ungrammatical and incoherent format such as online advertisements, emails, reports etc. This thesis aims to answer few of the concern raised above and presents a semantic annotation framework that is capable of extracting relevant data from unstructured, ungrammatical and incoherent data sources and semantically annotating it. The semantic annotation framework is named BNOSA and it employs ontology and Bayesian network to perform semantic annotation. As the data is unstructured and ungrammatical, the framework exploits the use of context keywords along with domain knowledge to find the location of the data of interest in relevant data sources. Due to the variable size of information available on different web pages, it is often the case that the extracted data contains missing values for certain variables of interest or it may extract more than one value (conflicting values). It is desirable in such situations to predict the missing values and to resolve the conflicts by selecting the most relevant value. BNOSA employs Bayesian networks for missing value prediction and conflict resolution. The framework is extensible as it is capable of dynamically linking any problem domain given a pre-defined ontology and a corresponding Bayesian network. Experiments have been conducted to analyze the performance of BNOSA on several problem domains. The sets of corpora used in the experiments belong to selling-purchasing websites where product information is entered by ordinary web users in a structure free format. The results show that BNOSA performs better than the other recently proposed semantic annotation frameworks.

One of the main features of the property that Islam does not allow the wealth is concentrated around few peoples; any group or class of society, but according to Islamic point of view money should be in circulation so that poor class of the society could enjoy this blessing from Almighty Allah. Zakat Distribution System is a system of fair procedure for this world by Islam; if it is implemented with true spirit of Islam it can end poverty from the society. Islam obligate rich people of the society to distribute Zakat from their wealth amongst poor people however Islam has ordered not to receiver Zakat more than their needs so that it could be distribute to other poor people of the society. Zakat is an important and has significance in Islam. Islamic law imposed the duty on the Islamic government to collect Zakat from the rich and distribute it to the poor of the society, which caused not only undermined the dignity of the poor. Islamic law imposed the duty on Islamic government to take steps of receiving Zakat. If the government imposed the proper procedures in current banks and other financial institutions to receive Zakat from the rich people of the society and distribute it amongst the poor of the society than it could help to get rid of poverty from the society and it also help for the stability of the economy of any Country?

Impact of Learning Environment of Cadet Colleges on Personality Development and Life Success of Students in Pakistan

The current study was designed to investigate the impact of learning environment of cadet colleges on personality development and life success of students in Pakistan. Objectives of the study were to explore various aspects of learning environment, assess the impact of learning environment on personality development, analyze various dimensions of life success, determine the influence of learning environment on students‘ life success and examine the mutual impact of learning environment, personality development and life success. This study was descriptive and exploratory in nature therefore triangulation research design of mixed method was considered appropriate for its completion. The population of this study was comprised of worthy principals, teaching faculty, intermediate students and alumni of recognized cadet colleges of Pakistan. Convenient sampling and snowball sampling techniques were used for the present study. The sample of study consisted of 500 respondents which were alumni of twenty four cadet colleges. Moreover, interview was conducted for the principals of twelve cadet colleges and observations were also recorded. Two type of data was required, one in the form of questionnaire from the alumni of cadet colleges about learning environment, personality development and life success keeping in view the objectives of the study. Secondly, semi structured interviews of the worthy principals were conducted. Two observations were also recorded though documentary record and observation sheet at cadet colleges during the interview of the principals. After pilot testing, the researcher personally administered research tools and collected data from the respondents. After data collection, the data was analyzed using SPSS version 21.0. To describe the characteristics of respondents, t-test and One Way ANOVA were run. However, to analyze the subjective data, inferential statistics were used. Correlation and regression analysis were used to infer the respondents‘ questions. Qualitative data was analyzed by using NVivo 12.0 software and major themes were extracted by using data reduction techniques. The results show that learning environment is a contributory factor in grooming and developing the personality domains of the students. It also plays an important role towards incremental improvement in life success of the students. There exists a strong positive correlation between learning environment and personality development as well as between learning environment and life success. Also, there is a mutual impact among learning environment, personality development and life success. Resultantly, cadet colleges bring substantial change in their students by providing effective and conducive learning environment to their students. The same model can be applied to other public sector educational institutions of Pakistan. In nutshell, the authorities and people at helm of affairs in Pakistan should improve the learning environment of their academic institutions in order to gain the objectives of education, for which plausible recommendations have been proffered in this research.
