In computational linguistics, sentiment analysis facilitates classification of opinion as a positive or a negative class. In last decade, the area of sentiment analysis of English language is explored largely with different techniques those have improved the overall performance.Urdu is language of sixty-six million people and largely spoken in south-asian subcontinent. Also, it is national language of Pakistan which is world sixth most populous country according to United Nations Population Division. Sentiment analysis of Urdu language is important tool to understand the behavioural aspects, cultural values and social habits of the people living in this part of world. Opinion mining is also crucial for governments, policy makers, business owners and brand ambassadors to make their decisions in accordance to sentiment of the public. However, sentiment analysis of Urdu language is not well explored as that of English language. The Urdu sentiment analysis is performed with simple Bag-of-Word (BoW) method and machine learning (ML) techniques with limited set of features. The BoW method is not sufficient to handle complex opinions. Also, the accuracy of ML techniques, with legacy features, is not comparable to the sentiment classification task of other languages. For English language, the discourse information (sub-sentence level information) boosted the performance of both BoW method and ML techniques. A theory for Urdu sentiment analysis that extract and use the discourse information at sub sentence level and also suggest a computational model to achieve more accurate and better results than the simple bag of word approach. The proposed solution segmented the sentiment into two sub-opinions, extracted discourse information (discourse relation and polarity relation), proposed an extended BoW method (rule based method) and suggested a new small subset of features for ML techniques. The results significantly enhance (p < 0.001) the performance of recall, precision and accuracy by 37.25%, 8.46%, and 24.75% respectively. The current research targeted sentiment with two sub-opinions that remain excellent until the opinions are short messages like those on Twitter, in forum comments or as Facebook status posts. The proposed technique can be extended for sentiments with more than two sub-opinions such as blogs, reviews, and TV talk shows.

Islamic concept about Jihad is very different as what is interpreted by the western scholars. This Jihad is not only the name of giving just his own life but to a specific purpose, which is only to create peace and to prevent cruelty and injustice in the society. There are several verses of Quran and Hadith, which explore this concept, but Islam also regulates the rules and regulation for this. To explain the misconception about Jihad, some points have been explored in this research article to guide the people effectively that how jihad should be conducted, while other activities named as “jihad” and an activist intending to take part in such activities might not be counted as a “martyr”. So the important points to be kept in mind are: · In Islam the martyr has a very great value, but in specific terms. · Martyr in Islam is not simply means of giving life. · There are some rules and regulations that must to be followed, i. E., a person must be a Muslim and his intention is only for Allah, and not for his worldly desires, and he follow the rules what Islam justified for the war. · His jihad will not be accepted without the permission of his parents or if he dies in the state of sin etc. · Islam does not allow killing innocent persons, Muslims or non-Muslims, without caring the color and caste, if he does so he would be answerable to Allah.

Kras Oncogenic Mutation Pattern in Pakistani Patients Presenting With Colorectal Adenocarcinoma in a Northern Tertiary Referal Centre

Veterinary Pathology Pathology Abstract Colorectal cancer is a global disease with marked morbidity and mortality. Involvement of genetic and environmental factors produces variability in its prevalence. KRAS (Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homologue) is one of the important genes responsible for sporadic CRC. The constitutive GTPase activity of the gene is lost when it gets mutated and so the deregulated cells undergo unrestricted proliferation leading to oncogenesis. From therapeutic point of view, patients with KRAS mutations do not benefit from epidermal growth factor receptor inhibition drugs as those who possess normal KRAS. The analysis of KRAS mutations is therefore important from both diagnostic as well as therapeutic purposes. Diagnostic methodology and the valuable information of this study will be quite helpful in future. The objectives of this study were to document the KRAS oncogenic mutation pattern mostly in Northern Pakistani residents presenting in AFIP, Rawalpindi after their intestinal resection due to CRC. The other objective was to relate this mutation pattern with histopathological categorical variables like age, gender, presenting clinical complaint, tumor site, size, histological differentiation, modified Duke Stage of tumor, nodal metastasis and metastasis in other organs. Hundred and eighty one cases of CRC from persons residing in northern area of Pakistan were collected and observed for the above mentioned parameters. DNA was extracted from the tumors and normal tissues of all the study subjects. PCR was done for gene amplification and the status of KRAS mutations in Pakistani CRC patients was analyzed by gene sequencing. The results showed more prevalence of CRC in the males of northern areas of Pakistan. Both males and females with higher average age had high tendency to acquire CRC. Rectum was found to be the most common location of CRC, followed by sigmoid. Exophytic well differentiated adenocarcinomas were the most common form of CRC. Gene sequencing did not show even a single KRAS mutation in the tested samples. It can be inferred from this study that either there is no KRAS mutation in northern area patients suffering from CRC or the mutation frequency of this particular gene is relatively very low as compared to the results of studies reported in the literature. A wider scale study of these patients may prove the cause of CRC to be due to mutation of some other genes or may be due to some non-genetic factors.
