Medical image analysis can play a substantial role in diagnosis of different medical problems. Glaucoma is an asymptomatic neurological disease. Oculists mostly use fundoscopy or OpticalCoherence-Tomography (O-C-T) to diagnose glaucoma.Fundoscopy can be used to analyse the external stratum of posterior part of the eye whereas, O-C-T imaging technology has the ability to analyse the internal stratums of posterior part of the eye.In this thesis, a Hybrid Computer Aided Diagnosis (H-CAD) system has been proposed that integrates both fundus and O-C-T imaging technologies for reliable diagnosis. Fundus module has a novel combination of hybrid structural and textural features. The system improves the decision making process after analysing a variety of glaucoma conditions. It further consists of two sub modules Hybrid Structural Feature-set (HSF) and Hybrid Texture Feature-set (HTF). HSF module calculates structural changes i.e. Cupto-Disc-Ratio (C-D-R) and classifies a sample using Support-Vector-Machine (S-V-M). HTF module analyses the textural properties of optic nerve head and again using S-V-M, makes a decision. In O-C-T module, C-D-R has been calculated on the base of the inner stratums of the retina. In the Cup Diameter Extraction (C-D-E) method, cup boundary has been marked on the base of Inner-Limiting-Membrane (I-L-M) stratum. The O-C-T module presents a new method to increase the accuracy of I-L-M stratum segmentation. It also introduces a new method to interpolate missing points on the extracted Upper-Surface of I-L-M stratum (?????). In addition, a novel technique to remove outliers from ????? has been applied. In Disc-Diameter-Extraction (D-D-E) process, Retinal-Pigment-Epithelium (R-P-E) stratum termination points have been used to locate disc margin. Earlier to R-P-E stratum segmentation, I-L-M stratum elimination has been done by a new approach to trace and eliminate I-L-M stratum. Finally, precise R-P-E stratum segmentation has been achieved on the base of new Thickness Value approximation technique. Furthermore, a novel standard for cup boundaries identification, on the base of mean value of R-P-E stratum terminations points is offered. A local-dataset of SD-O-C-T and fundus images annotated by four oculists has been used for evaluation of proposed H-CAD system. Each module ofH_CAD system classifies data independently. The final result of H-CAD system is determined based on decision of three diverse modules. The evaluations and results have shown that the final result of H_CAD system is more trustable than its contemporary automated models.

مرزا داغ کے نعتیہ اسلوب کے اقبال پر اثرات Impacts Of Mirza Dagh’s Nautiya Style On Iqbal’s Poetry

The linguist poet of the ambassador of Dehli literary society, Nwab Mirza Khan Dagh does not need any preamble. Iqbal accepted some artistic impacts of Mirza Dagh.He is a romantic poet but he was also effected by revolution of 1857.He narrated the cultural defeat in his poetry. We also can find the cultural defeat in Iqbal’s poetry as well. Iqbal paid tribute to Mirza Dagh at his death with deep grief and in an impressive way. As an artist, the use of developed language precision continuity and idiomatic phrases is Dagh’s distinctive style, the same style of Mirza Dagh is also available in his Nautiya poetry. Although it is not recognition of Dagh but his style is striking researchable. We can also come across the technical effects of his Nautiya style in Iqbal’s poetry. Iqbal has also saluted to his artistic climax. In this article the effort has been accomplished to explain Mirza Dagh’s impacts on Iqbal Keywords: Allama Iqbal, Mirza Dagh, Na‘at, poetry Praise of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Influence of Strigolactone Gr24 on Growth, Physiological and Biochemical Attributes of Wheat Triticum Aestivum L. under Saline Conditions

In order to examine whether exogenous application of strigolactones (GR24) could mitigate the adverse effects of salt stress on spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), experiments were conducted under natural climatic conditions in a net-house of the Old Botanical Garden, University of Agricuture, Faisalabad Pakistan. Both wheat cultivars [S-24 (salt tolerant cultivar) and PARI-73 (moderately salt sensitive cultivar)] were grown in full strength Hoagland’s nutrient solution under non-stressed and salt stressed conditions. Experiment I was conducted to explore the effect of pre-seed treatment with strigolactone (GR24) for 16 h. on wheat under non-saline and saline conditions. There were four different levels of GR24 solution (Water (0), 0.001, 0.01 and 0.1 mg L-1). Salinity treatment applied through root growing medium to fifty day-old plants. There were two salt (NaCl) levels control (0 mM) and 150 mM (NaCl). Experimental design was completely randomized with four replicates. Data were recorded of 77 day old plants. In experiment I findings, root growing salinity (150 mM) significantly decreased growth attributes, photosynthetic efficiency of wheat plants, leaf water relations parameters except leaf turgor potential, activity of catalase enzyme, shoot and root K+ and shoot Ca2+ and yield attributes except 100-seed weight. However, concentration of ascorbic acid, activity of glutathione reductase, production of hydrogen peroxide, accumulation of organic osmotica (Proline and glycinebetaine contents) and uptake of shoot and root Na+ ion contents significantly increased under salt stress. Pre-soaking seed treatment with GR24 increased photosynthetic efficiency, only leaf water potential, enzymatic antioxidants (catalase and peroxidase) activities, accumulation of total soluble proteins, osmoprotectants like proline and glycinebetaine contents, non-enzymatic antioxidants (total phenolic contents and glutathione reductase activity) and production of hydrogen peroxide. Pre-soaking seed treatment with GR24 further slightly reduced growth and number of tillers per plant. Exogenous application of GR24 in experiment II was applied through foliar spray. In experiment II, imposition of salinity through root growing medium (150 mM) significantly reduced growth parameters, non-photochemical quenching (NPQ), electron transport rate (ETR) and co-efficient of non-photochemical quenching (qN), gas exchange characteristics, water relations parameters, ascorbic acid contents and shoot and root K+ and Ca2+ ions. Salinity increased accumulation of glycinebetaine and free proline, activities of enzymatic antioxidants and Na+ contents in both shoot and root of wheat plants. GR24 spray XV significantly increased gas exchange characteristics except transpiration rate (E), activities of enzymatic antioxidant, accumulation of free proline production but markedly increased the malondialdehyde and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), root Ca2+ and K+ content. Overall, S-24 performed better than PARI-73 in all aspects and PARI-73 severely affected by salinity.
