In the modern era of industrialization, power electronic converters have gained key importance due to their wide range of applications such as; use in arc furnaces, in duction heating systems, variable speed drives of motors, power supplies of various electronic systems, fluorescent lamps, elevators and cooling systems. Furthermore, the low-cost proliferation of power electronic devices due to the technological de velopments in the semiconductor industry has made them an attractive choice for integrating renewable energy resources. They are the essential and integral part of the systems providing solutions to issues like voltage sag, swell, frequency reg ulation, current sharing among different renewable energy resources, power factor correction and voltage regulation in different types of micro-grids. In all the above-mentioned applications, the robustness of the system under dif ferent load and line conditions depend upon the control algorithm of the power electronic converters. This is why the research in the field of power electronics has been focused on the control of power converters during the last decade. Among different types of control techniques, Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is renowned for its disturbance rejection and parameter invariant nature which makes it an irre sistible choice for controlling such systems. However due to physical constraints of the switching components, ideal condition of infinite frequency cannot be sat isfied. This causes the system to operate at finite but time varying switching frequency which is a serious issue for power electronic converters as they consist of passive components whose size and value depends upon the switching frequency. Moreover, the time varying switching frequency degrades the power quality and causes electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues in case of grid connected power converters. In the first phase of this research, a fixed frequency sliding mode controller uti lizing an integral sliding manifold is designed to improve the dynamic response of the power converter regulating the grid voltage, in the presence of unknown x load condition and uncertain network parameter of the micro-grid. A special purpose test rig is designed to experimentally validate the results in comparison with conventional PI controllers. In the second phase of the research, the power quality issues regarding DC micro grids are addressed. Power quality issues have been widely discussed regarding AC power systems but discussion regarding DC power quality in micro-grids is rare in research community because in past power transmission was carried out using AC systems only. However, in the recent years DC grids and transmission has emerged as an attractive solution to integrate renewable energy resources. Hence, to enhance the power quality, a fixed frequency SMC is proposed with harmonic cancellation and chattering reduction, using a PI type sliding manifold. Experimental results are presented to validate the theoretical derivations using the test rig. Finally, a new method based upon filter extraction of the equivalent control is proposed to fix the switching frequency in power converters controlled by SMC. The technique is implemented on a boost converter and the results are presented in comparison with PWM-SMC. Rigorous mathematical analysis is provided along with experimental results to validate the proposed technique.

ملازمت کے شرعی احکام: ایک تحقیقی جائزہ

In our society a large number of people are associated with employment ranging from a gatekeeper, soldier, peon, clerk to prime minister, chief of army staff (COAS) Journals, chief justice, secretary, chief minister, doctors and professors all are employees infect. Most of social problems are linked to them, if all of them do their work correctly and honestly then most of our issues can be solved easily. Furthermore growth and prosperity of our economic system is dependent on the betterment of employment. Nations who ever works and shows interest in improving the employment system are the one who pave road for their economic prosperity. As an ordinary person himself needs a worker, therefore if Islamic practices are promoted in different disciplines of employment in human life then Islamic orders will revive and its effect will be seen in other departments as well. Therefore this study focuses and tends to guide Muslims working in employment sector in our society. This will help employed persons not only to up bring the Islamic teachings as well as can be helpful for human beings to guide them about Islam. It will act as a set of guidance for people working in government and non-government organizations, so that an employee could earn a true living under sharia orders and be helpful in promoting and development of a better society.

A Quantitative Study on Chromotherapy

We suggest a new phenomenon of ‘charge quantization’, .i.e., hQ due to absorption of photon energies in water molecules. When water molecules absorb photon energies at different wavelengths in the visible region, they become charged. We infer that the absorbed photon energies in water molecules are the manifest of quantum mechanical behavior i.e., the quantum mechanical dipole moment leads to the phenomena of ‘charge quantization’. Coagulated water molecules produce a geometrical shape .i.e., pentagon, hexagon, hectagon and nonagon with molecules having same frequency of any visible range radiation (colour). These geometrical structures in charged (chromotized) water influences the migration rate of the ions, salts, etc. within intra macromolecular cells. According to the doctrine of chromotherapy visible range electromagnetic radiations (colours) generate electrical impulses and magnetic currents or field of energy that are prime activators of the bio- chemical and hormonal processes in the human body. We have successfully developed recursive relationship for ‘Fractional Quantum states’ and associated energy eigen values, thus providing a scientific ground for chromotherapy. It proves the conjecture as well as it provides scientific evidence to the phenomenon of ‘charge quantization’, as theoretical values are in agreement with the experimental results. We obtained an energy eigen function for ‘Fractional Quantum energy states’ and with normalization of eigen functions, achieved the probability density for the existence of fractional quantum states for hydrochromotherapy. Energy in the form of ‘charge quantization’ is absorbed in fractional discrete states. We also studied the effect of absorption (in vitro) of visible range radiations within the enzyme solutions including glucose oxidase, lipase, cholesterol oxidase + esterase and super oxide dismutase in order to confirm the changes produced in human body after chromotherapy. Results revealed that each enzyme responded to different wavelengths, to lower their activation energies, thereby increasing its activity, .i.e., glucose oxidase to 464nm (purple color), cholesterol esterase + oxidase and lipase to 400 nm (violet color) and super oxide dismutase responded to 644 nm (red colour). We presented a case history of cutaneous leishmaniasis treated with chromotherapy. This seems to be an effective and new method of treatment using only visible range radiations of different wavelengths with no apparent side-effects. Red colour therapy may be used as the alternative treatment for curing the ulcers of cutaneous Leishmaniasis. The wavelength-dependency of chromotherapy effects on cutaneous leishmaniasis parasite reproductivity and growth was investigated. Chromotherapy uses visible range radiations to improve healing; however its effects on parasite are not well understood. Leishmania Tropica was irradiated using seven (7) different wavelengths of visible region. Optical density was observed, which showed that red colour (644nm) wavelength inhibited the reproduction of parasite while other colour wavelengths also affected the growth of parasite.
