In this dissertation, meshfree (meshless) methods using meshless shape functions are proposed for the numerical solutions of partial differential equations (PDEs). These PDEs have either integer or fractional order time derivatives. Weighted θ-scheme (0≤θ ≤1) is used for time discretization of integer case, whereas, for fractional case, the same discretization scheme is combined with a simple quadrature formula. For space (spatial) discretization we used meshless shape functions owing Kronecker delta function property. These shape functions are obtained viapointinterpolationapproachandradialbasisfunctions(RBFs). Finallywiththehelpofcollocationmethodthe given PDE reduces to system of algebraic equations, which are then solved via LU decomposition in iterations. For the proposed numerical scheme, stability analysis is carried out theoretically and computational examples are provided to support the analysis. The proposed scheme has been tested via application to several concrete and benchmark problems of engineering interest. ApproximationqualityandaccuracyofcomputedsolutionsaremeasuredusingL∞, L2 andLrms discrete errornorms. Efficiencyandorderofapproximationoftheproposedschemeinspaceandtimeareanalyzedthrough variation of number of nodal points N and time step-size δt. The documented results, in the form of tables and figures, reveal very good agreement to true solutions as well high accuracy to earlier proposed technique available in the literature. In RBFs, the presence of shape (support) parameter c∗ plays a crucial role. Accuracy of the RBFs based scheme can be improved via proper selection of this parameter. For this purpose, an automatic optimal shape parameter selection algorithm is proposed. To check effectiveness and automatic (adaptive) nature of this algorithm in RBFs approximation method, time fractional Black-Scholes models have been solved. It has been noted that the proposed algorithm worked well and gives excellent accurate solutions for various fractional order time derivatives. The RBFs approximation (Kansa) method results in dense ill-conditioned matrix. For the treatment of this issue weproposeahybridRBFs(HRBFs)approximationmethod. Byextendingthisidea, anadaptive(automatic)algorithm is proposed for optimal parameters selection in HRBFs. For validation, again time fractional Black-Scholes models are reconsidered. Simulations revealed acceptable accurate solutions in hybrid RBFs method too. Along with that significant reduction in condition number of the resultant matrix is observed up to several manifold. Hence, HRBFs method can be seen as an alternative remedy for curing ill-conditioning in usual RBFs method. Computer simulations have been carried out via MATLAB R2013a on a personal laptop with configuration, Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20GHz, RAM: 4.00 GB, System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

Studi Komparasi Penyelesaian Wasiat Wajibah di Indonesia dan Malaysia

A will is a legal document that outlines how a person's assets will be distributed after their death.   In some countries, the distribution of assets is regulated by law and not solely based on the wishes of the deceased. This is known as a mandatory will, which limits the amount that can be given to certain parties to no more than one-third of the total assets. Indonesia and Malaysia are countries that regulate the matter of mandatory wills. The purpose of this journal is to identify the similarities and differences in the provisions of mandatory wills in Indonesia and Malaysia, to determine the Islamic legal basis for mandatory wills, and to examine the development of mandatory wills in both countries.

Synthesis and Characterization of Some Novel N-Vinyl Pyrrolidone Based Copolymers for Controlled Drug Delivery

Six series of N-vinyl pyrrolidone based copolymers were synthesized by free radical solution polymerization of N-vinyl pyrrolidone and n-alkyl methacrylate monomers. The n-butyl methacrylate and n-hexyl methacrylate were selected as the hydrophobic counterpart. In the first part of the study properties of uncrosslinked poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone-co-n-alkyl methacrylate) copolymers were modified by varying the weight % ratio of the two monomers. Elemental analyses, FTIR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopic analyses techniques were used for structure elucidation of the copolymers. Thermal stabilities and glass transition temperatures of the copolymers were directly related to the amount of n-alkyl methacrylate as well as the alkyl chain length of methacrylate comonomer. The water uptake characteristics of the copolymers were related to the amount of hydrophilic NVP incorporated into these copolymers. The hydrophobic drug dexamethasone was loaded into the copolymers with optimum water uptake and prolonged aqueous stability. The drug release studies were carried out at physiological temperature 37 °C and pH 7.4 for 35 days. Controlled drug release was observed from the selected copolymer films during the study time period. The cumulative drug release was found to be mainly controlled by the amount of hydrophilic monomer and molecular weight of the copolymers. In the second part of present study crosslinked poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone-co-n-alkyl methacrylate) copolymers were synthesized at fixed weight % ratio of N-vinyl pyrrolidone and n-alkyl methacrylate monomers (i.e NVP : nAMA = 90:10) using various concentrations of polyfunctional monomers employed as crosslinking agents. The effect of crosslinker concentration and functionality on gel content, thermal stability, water uptake, internal morphology and drug release was investigated. Gel contents and thermal stability of the crosslinked copolymers increased with increasing crosslinker concentration as well as its functionality. The water uptake at 37 °C decreased with increasing crosslinker concentration and functionality however the increase in alkyl chain length of alkyl methacrylate resulted in increased water uptake. The crosslinked copolymers with optimized crosslinker concentrations exhibited controlled drug release patterns at 37 °C and pH 7.4. Higher amounts of cumulative drug release were observed for copolymers crosslinked with trifunctional crosslinkers leading to complete drug release in 20-22 days while the copolymers crosslinked with difunctional crosslinker exhibited controlled drug release upto 35 days. The kinetics and mechanism of the drug release was also analyzed.
