CCN promises to solve many problems related to traditional network architecture with its receiver-driven, secure and simplistic model. Transparent and ubiquitous in-network caching, mobility management are two active research topics within CCN domain, and we intend to address both in this thesis. This document mainly consists of our work on improving in-network cache management in static and dynamic network environments. In-network cache management in Content-Centric Networking (CCN) has received signi cant interest from research community in recent years. On the positive aspect, it helps in increasing content availability and quality-of-experience (QoE) by reducing end-to-end delays, and reduces server load. On the other hand, opting the default approach, that is, store a content at every node on the delivery path is not resource-e cient as it introduces high cache redundancy. A multitude of schemes are proposed to increase e ciency of the network, which aim to reduce redundancy by selecting a small fraction of nodes on returning path for storing contents. This selection is generally based on taking into account knowledge about the network or the content itself. However, in many schemes node''s utility is generally determined by analyzing only one concept at a time. For example, some schemes store contents based on popularity, while others select nodes employing only the information about network topology etc. Considering only a single aspect while taking a decision may limit the scope of the cache management scheme to be deployed in diverse scenarios, and might result in sub-optimal performance when the environment is changed. Hence, there is a need to devise an e cient caching mechanism that can dynamically adjust and adapt itself to any environment. With this in mind, we propose an adaptive caching strategy, named as Multi-Attribute Caching Strategy (MACS) based on multi-parameters for CCN. MACS attempts to overcome ine cient cache utilization by intelligently selecting caching locations along the content delivery path. Simulation results show that MACS reduces cache load at each node while providing comparable delay and better cache hit rate using both synthetic and real network topologies. In second part of the thesis, we analyze the aspects of content-centric caching in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET). We propose a caching framework that dynamically adapt the caching decision of each content and relocate the replica if the old cached node moves to another location. We envision that such cache relocation mechanism to stimulate cooperation among nodes have potential to help with practical deployments in real scenarios.

This is a familiar fact that accountability has a primary, important and key role to reform and develop an individual as well as a society. Quran (The Holy Book) and Sunnah (The Sayings the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasize the acco-untability and the Seerah (Prophet’s life) is its practical example. The Prophet (PBUH) mentioned the importance of individual accountability, told the people to follow the principle of accountability and also set up a collective account-ability system. On various occasions, He inquired the governors and investigated their financial matters. He also strongly condemned crimes such as exploitation, corruption, deception and cheating; those are the result of lack of accountability and He communicated the Ummah to stay away from the devastating crimes like these. The study of Seerah (the Prophet’s life) shows that He strongly empha-sized the accountability among all other matters. The Prophet (PBUH) used practical measures for justice and equality, giving people their rights and elimin-ating all kinds of oppression, abuse, injustice, exploitation and corruption. It was the effect of the teaching and training of the Prophet (PBUH) that the lives of companion’s رضی اللہ عنہم اجمعین of Prophet Muhammad (PPBUH) are the basic source of guidance for mankind till the world due to accountability. The compa-nions of the Prophet (PBUH) used to arrange the accountability and also self-accountability, as a result, the society was a manifestation of transparency, peace fulness, ideal, and brotherhood. Translation errorThis article explains the need and importance of accountability, role of accountability in the country's development, different types of accountability in the light of Seerah. As a result, firstly, we may be able to step up towards the formation of a righteous society. Secondly the rules and regulations for the establishment of an ideal welfare state in the light of Seerah may come into existence.

Relationship of Multiple Intelligence and Effective Study Skills with Academic Achievement Among University Students

Present study was designed to investigate the relationship of multiple intelligence and effective study skills with the academic achievement among the university students. Study was descriptive correlational in nature in which scientific method was used to achieve the research objectives. The first objective of this study was to investigate the relationship of multiple intelligence , effective study skills and academic achievement of university students, second objective was to measure the impact of multiple intelligence and effective study skills on the academic achievement of university studentsand the third objective was to investigate the role of demographic variation such as gender, discipline, family income, birth order, parents’ qualification and profession in determining the levels and dimensions of multiple intelligence, effective study skills and academic achievement. In this study a stratified random sample of 250 male (104) and female (146) university students were collected from 4 selected private and public sector universities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Family income of Students ranged from 50,000 to 150,000. The study was delimited to Master level students studying in the fourth semester only. In this research for the measurement of multiple intelligence “Simple Multiple Intelligence Inventory” based on 80 items developed by Gardner was used and for the measurement of effective study skills an inventory named as,” Study Skills” based on 51 items developed by Congos was used. The students’ academic achievement was measured through their results of first three semesters (students result was taken as measure their academic achievement). After data collection it was analyzed with the help of SPSS 16 by applying various statistical tests such as, Percentile Analysis, Mean, SD, Linear Regression, and Pearson Correlation. On the basis of findings, it was found that there is positive relationship between multiple intelligence, study skills and academic achievement in the context of Master level university students. The students of private sector universities possessed more effective study skills and higher score on the academic achievement as compared to the students of public sector universities. Present research is significant due to its uniqueness it can bring new avenues in the teaching learning process. University management can provide creative competitive environment to the learner so learner can develop their intelligence and exercise study skill in their course of studies.
