Cooperative Learning is considered an instructional strategy that encourages students to learn from one another working in groups and pairs. The Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development (IED) through its teacher education programmes promotes this strategy in schools particularly in developing countries like Pakistan. The Visiting Teachers Programme (VTP) is one of the examples of IED's attempts to promote cooperative learning. The VTPs are planned, executed and evaluated by the Professional Development Teachers (PDTs) who are graduates of Master of Education (M.Ed) programmes at IED. As a course participant of the M.Ed (2000) programme, I was interested to know about the impact of Cooperative Learning' on two visiting teachers (VTs) who attended the VTP. I decided to conduct an impact study on the above topic. Two VTs of an IED cooperating school of Karachi were selected. Other sample members included, four students (two each) of both the VTs classes. Students were identified for the study with the help of VTs. Head Teacher of the school and the Professional Development Teacher. The study explored ;The impact of cooperative learning on two primary school teachers who attended the primary education Visiting Teacher Programme at IED. This was a case study and literature suggests that for case studies a qualitative research paradigm is more appropriate. Therefore I used the qualitative paradigm and I collected data through interviews, classroom observations, document analysis, field notes and writing memos. Interviews were audio recorded and important points were jotted during interviews. Before entering the field, I went through the programme document which informed me that one of the objectives of the programme was that the VTs understand and practice cooperative learning in their classroom. The programme exposed VTs to alternate teaching methods and instructional strategies. They were taught the basic elements of cooperative learning, lesson planning and teaching, group / pair work and reflections and further were encouraged to use the cooperative learning strategy in the theory practice component of the programme. The study found that teachers have acquired knowledge about cooperative learning. They have tried their best to implement their learning in the classrooms. This includes some elements of cooperative learning in other strategies according to the needs of the students and schools. The findings reveal that teachers have developed good relationships with their students and the students taught by VTs seemed different from other students in terms of social skills. یوم مئی ایک ایسے دن کی یاد دلاتا ہے جس دن انسانیت کے ساتھ ظلم روا رکھا گیا ، جس دن انسانیت کی تذلیل کی گئی، جس دن انسانیت کے ساتھ خون کی ہولی کھیلی گئی ، جس دن مفلوک الحال طبقہ کو گولی کا نشانہ بنایا گیا۔

مزدور کے ہاتھوں سے شجر ہستی میں تازگی آتی ہے، مزدور کے ہنر سے چمنِ حیات میں پھول کھلتے ہیں، مزدور کی طاقت سے ہی کو ہساروں میں آبشار یں پیدا ہوتی ہیں، مزدور کی محنت سے ہی فصلیں کشت ِزعفران بنتی ہیں، مزدور کے ہاتھوں سے ہی دریاؤں میں روانی آتی ہے۔

امریکہ کے شہر شکاگو میں مزدوروں نے جان کا نذرانہ پیش کر کے رہتی دنیا تک اپنا نام زندہ کیا، بقائے دوام حاصل کر لیا، ظلم و استبداد کی چکی میں پسے ہوئے مزدور انسانیت کے لیے خوشی کی نوید جاں فزا ثابت ہوئے ، شب وروز افسردہ ذہنوں میں تروتازگی کے تصورات پیدا کیے۔

استنباطِ احکام میں ضعیف حدیث کا مقام اور فقہاء کی آراء کا تجزیاتی مطالعہ Analytical study of the Status of hadith e Da’eef in the interpretation of rulings and the opinions of the jurists

There are two main sources of Islam, one is the Book of Allah and the other is the Sunnah and Sira of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Qur'an is the final collection of 23 years of divine revelation revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) whose literal and spiritual preservation was undertaken by Allah Almighty Himself. Therefore, the Qur'an is the only book in the world which has one letter, one action and one line in its original state just as it was revealed to the pure heart of the Holy Prophet (sws) and the Holy Prophet (sws). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told the Sahaabah. That is why the greatest truth of Islam, the book is the living Qur'an. The second major basis of the reality of Islam is the pure Sira and Sunnah of the Prophet of Humanity, the Servant of the Universe. Like the Qur'an al-Hakim, every moment, every day and every angle of the life of the author of the Qur'an is in front of everyone like an open book with all its mysteries. Even in front of one's own and in front of others. A da’if hadith is a hadith which does not fulfil the conditions of the sahih or hassan hadith. Ruling: There is a difference of opinion between the ‘ulema on the ruling on acting upon weak hadiths. The reliable opinion is that weak hadiths can be acted upon for virtuous supererogatory deeds (fada’il al a’mal), for religious exhortation, and stories, and similar things that are not connected to legal rulings and tenants of belief. Some Generalizations of the Banach Fixed Point Theorem: Single Valued and Multi-Valued Mappings

In [N. Mizoguchi, W. Takahashi, Fixed point theorems for multi-valued mappings on complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 141 (1989) 177–188] the authors gave a positive answer to the conjecture of S. Reich concerning the existence of fixed points of multi-valued mappings that satisfy certain contractive conditions. In this paper, we establish some results for multi-valued mappings that satisfy a generalized contractive condition in a way that it contains Mizoguchi’s result as one of its special cases. In addition, our results not only improve the results of Kiran and Kamran [Q. Kiran, T. Kamran, Nadler’s type principle with high order of convergence, Nonlinear Anal. TMA 69 (2008) 4106–4120] and some results of Agarwal et al. [R.P. Agarwal, Jewgeni Dshalalow, Donal O’Regan, Fixed point and homotopy results for generalized contractive maps of Reich type, Appl. Anal. 82 (4) (2003) 329–350] but also provide the high order of convergence of the iterative scheme and error bounds. As an application of our results, we obtain an existence result for a class of integral inclusions.
