صاحبزادہ آفتاب احمد خان مرحوم جو مفلوج ہو کر دو سال پہلے سے خاموش ہوچکے تھے، اب وہ ہمیشہ کے لئے خاموش ہوگئے، علی گڑھ کالج نے قومی خدمت گذاروں کی سب سے پہلی جو جماعت پیدا کی تھی، اُس میں صاحبزادہ مرحوم سب سے پیش پیش تھے، وہ سرسید کی پالیسی کے سخت ترین مقلد تھے، وہ مسلمانوں کی سیاسی علمی، تعلیمی، تجارتی، دینی دنیاوی غرض ہر قسم کی ترقی کا ذریعہ جدید تعلیم کو سمجھتے تھے، یہی اُن کا عقیدہ تھا، اسی عقیدہ پر وہ جئے اور اسی پر مرے اُن کے قومی کاموں کاآغاز علی گڑھ کالج اور مسلم ایجوکیشنل کانفرنس سے ہوا، اور اسی پر خاتمہ ہوا، وہ جس مسلک پر تھے، اس پر پوری مضبوطی سے قائم رہے، اُن میں مسلمانوں کی تعلیمی خدمت گذاری کا مخلصانہ ولولہ تھا، اور مسلم یونیورسٹی کی خدمت کا بھی پورا ارادہ رکھتے تھے، مگر افسوس کہ علی گڑھ کی مکدر فضا اُن کی خدمات کو راس نہ آئی، اور یونیورسٹی کو اُن کی کوششوں سے کوئی فیض نہ پہنچ سکا، مرحوم کا دل پسند فلسفہ یہ تھا کہ مسلمان عبدیت اور نیابت الٰہی دونوں کے درمیان تطبیق دیں، یعنی یہ کہ ایک طرف تو وہ خدا کے آگے سرجھکائیں اور اپنے کو اس کا لاچار بندہ سمجھیں، دوسری طرف خدا کی خلافت و نیابت سے سرفراز ہو کر عالم اور کل قوائے عالم پر اپنے علم کے زور سے حکمرانی کریں۔
مرحوم ۴؍ مئی ۱۸۶۷ء میں پیدا ہوئے تھے، ۱۸۷۸ء میں علی گڑھ کالج میں داخل ہوئے تھے، ۱۸۹۱ء میں بیرسٹری کی تعلیم کے لئے ولایت گئے، ۱۸۹۴ء میں کامیاب ہوکر واپس آئے، اور علمی گڑھ میں پریکٹس شروع کی، اور ساتھ ہی کالج اور کانفرنس کی خدمت بھی، ۱۹۱۷ء میں انڈیا کونسل کے ممبر ہو کر انگلینڈ گئے، اور ۱۹۲۴ء...
The Holy Quran is seen as the ultimate source of guidance and knowledge in Islam. It defines inheritance as automatic transfer of possession by which estate person transfers to the heirs as succession. In the Quran Surat Al Nisa explains about inheritane in just a manner that is due to each individual, male female. This Surah of the Quran has clearly specifies that women should no longer be treated as cattle and commodities, but as individuals, they have the legal right to inherit. The Quran mentions plainly the women right of inheritance in Surat Al Nisa : “ Allah Charge you concerning (i provision for) your children : to the male equivalent of the portion of two females, and if there be women more than two, then theirs is two-third of inheritance, and there be one(only) then the half. Islam gives the women right of inheritance, but the practical situation is different in society and country laws of inheritance. Women are often deprived of this fundamental right especially when it comes inheritance of immoveable assets i.e land. There are numerous reasons to deprive women from inheritance, for example cultural practices such as considering dowry as an alternate to inheritance etc. But the major cause is lack of knowledge and awareness regarding Shariah Law and state legislature due to rampant literacy and dominant role of customs and culture. This research article is an attempt to describe Islamic Law of inheritance along with the extensive study to analyze the practical social and legal status in Pakistani society, and awareness among the women of Pakistan.
In a viscous flow the viscosity effects are prominent only in a thin region near the solid boundary, namely, the boundary-layer or the thin shear layer. Since the start of the last century the study of boundary layer flows has been identified as a self- standing field of research in the area of fluid dynamics. The theory of boundary-layer has greatly helped the scientists and engineers towards the understanding of flow and heat transfer phenomenon in viscous flows. Despite the continuous research of scholars the understanding of three dimensional boundary-layers is still a demanding area of research. Three dimensional boundary-layer momentum equations are more complicated in comparison to the two dimensional ones but still there is a class of flows which are three dimensional with less complicated equation. Such flows are commonly known as axisymmetric flows. Axisymmetric flows occur inside/outside the pipes, over blunt bodies and in rotating disk systems. In this dissertation, we aim to examine various flow situations of multi- dimensional boundary-layer flows of axisymmetric nature. The impact of surface expansion/contraction and rotation has been investigated on the internal boundary- layer flow inside a pipe of uniform cross-section. The effects of surface stretching, rotation and oscillation on momentum and thermal transport in the external boundary- layer have been considered in the flow near a solid cylinder. The stagnation point flow has also been studied in rotating disk boundary-layer flow. Furthermore the effects of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD), suction/injection and unsteadiness have also been investigated in some cases. The calculation of skin friction coefficient and the coefficient of heat transfer has been the major study. Analytic and (or) numerical solutions have been obtained in all cases, however, the preference has been given to the analytic solution. Homotopy analysis method has been used for analytic solution and for numerical computations the shooting technique or the finite difference schemes have been applied. The accuracy and validity of these solutions have been proved in detail either by calculating the residual errors or through comparison with authentic results or both. The analysis reveals that both the momentum and energy transport strongly depend upon the curvature of cylinder. As compared to the flat plate case the coefficient of skin friction and heat transfer are bigger in magnitude for a cylinder of large curvature. For efficient cooling the dissipation effects are recommended to be minimized. Furthermore, the fluids of high Prandtl number are observed to be serving as good coolant.
