ڈاکٹر صبیحی المحمصانی عالم عرب میں شریعت اسلامی اور اس کے جدید ملکی و بین الاقوامی قوانین کے مرجع اور سند سمجھے جاتے تھے، انگریزی اور فرانسیسی زبانوں پر ان کو یکساں عبور تھا، ان کا انتقال پیرس میں ستمبر ۱۹۸۶ء میں ہوا، لیکن مجمع اللغۃ العربیہ اکتوبر ۸۸ء کے شمارہ میں ان کی شخصیت پر تعزیتی مضمون تاخیر سے شائع ہوا، ان کی قابل قدر علمی زندگی خصوصاً قانون کے موضوع پر ان کے اہم اور یادگار کارناموں کی وجہ سے ان کی وفات کا غم آج بھی تازہ ہے۔
وہ ۱۹۰۶ء میں بیروت میں پیدا ہوئے، اعلیٰ تعلیم کے لئے فرانس گئے۔ ۱۹۳۲ء میں ڈاکٹریٹ کیا، ۳۵ء میں لندن یونیورسٹی سے بھی ڈگری لی، دوران تعلیم ان کے خاص مضامین قانون اور معاشیات تھے، تعلیم کے بعد لبنان میں اعلیٰ قانونی عہدوں پر فائز ہوئے، ۶۶ء میں وہ لبنان کے وزیر اقتصادیات بھی ہوئے، لیکن سیاسی زندگی کی شورشیں اور بکھیڑے ان کے مزاج کے مطابق نہیں تھے اس لیے اس سے کنارہ کش ہوکر علمی اور تدریسی سرگرمیوں میں مشغول ہوئے اور پھر تصنیف و تالیف کے لئے یکسو ہوگئے، وہ ۴۷ء میں دمشق کی مجمع العلمی کے رکن بنے، مسلم ممالک میں اسلامی قانون کے نفاذ کے سلسلہ میں انہوں نے کئی اہم کانفرنسوں میں خصوصی مدعو کی حیثیت سے شرکت کی۔ ان کی تصنیفات کا زیادہ حصہ اسلامی قانون سے متعلق ہے، ان کی ایک کتاب فلسفۃ التشریع فی الاسلام بہت مقبول ہوئی، انگریزی اور فارسی میں اس کے ترجمے ہوئے، اردو میں بھی اس کا ترجمہ لاہور سے ۱۹۵۵ء میں شائع ہوا۔ اس کے علاوہ النظریات العامہ للموجبات و العقود فی الشریعۃ الاسلامیۃ، الاوضاع التشریعیہ فی الدول العربیہ، المبادی الشرعیہ و القانونیہ، مقدمہ فی احیاء علوم التراث، القانون و العلاقات الدولیہ فی الاسلام، الدعائم الخلفیہ للقوانین الشرعیہ، ارکان...
Islam is a religion of Nature that covers all aspects of life and guides human being to right path amid ups and downs in one’s life. But Human intellect and comprehension have limited capacities which can understand conditions or benefits of any situation or commodity for the time being. On the other hand, teachings of the Qurʻan and Sunnah are framed in accordance with the nature of human being and since Allah Almighty is the Creator of the entire Universe including the Nature so Allah had commanded to lead life in light of the His divinely inspired principles to get real success. Concept of Halal and Haram plays central role in evolving or driving attitude of a consumer with Islamic ideology. In the prevalent worldly economic system which mainly focuses on means as to how quickly satisfy desires and demands of a consumer irrespective of concept of Halal and Haram. In this context, if a consumer finds more satisfaction in having one glass of wine than milk, the consumer in question would opt for wine and would consider him or herself as successful after having his desires met within his available resources. Moreover, this particular attitude of the same consumer would be called rational act and logical because he or she gets more satisfaction, he or she was struggling or longing for. While Islam focuses on real welfare and success of an Islamic principles-inspired consumer. The consumer with Islamic belief would prefer to get real success here and hereafter by following teachings of Islam which provide for carrying out commandments of Allah
This study was undertaken to explore the attitude of university teachers regarding brainbased learning and its effect on achievement motivation of students at university level. This study was intended to; explore the teachers’ attitude towards brain based learning at university level; determine the achievement motivation of students at university level; investigate the effect of brain based learning on achievement motivation of students at university level; find out the differences in demographic factors regarding teachers’ attitude towards brain based learning and achievement motivation of students at university level. This study was descriptive in nature. Multilevel mixed method sampling techniques was used. 311 teachers and 622 students were selected as a sample from both public and private universities of Islamabad. Data were collected through two questionnaires. Brain based learning questionnaire was developed by Shelly Klinek (2009) and questionnaire regarding achievement motivation was developed by Mclnerney (1997). Data were analyzed through mean, percentages, Regression, t-test and ANOVA by using SPSS. Findings of this study indicated that teachers not generally practice positive attitude towards brain based learning and students generally showed high degree of achievement motivation at university level. Teachers’ attitude towards BBL and achievement motivation of students were positively correlated with each-others. There were significant mean differences in gender, age, teaching experiences and universities of teachers while no significant mean differences were found in public and private sectors, disciplines and academic qualification of teachers regarding brain based learning at university level. Similarly, there were no significant mean differences in gender and academic qualification of students while significant mean differences were found in public and private sectors, disciplines and universities of students regarding achievement motivation at university level. Therefore, it is recommended that higher authorities may design different seminars or workshops on brain based learning and its correlation with achievement motivation of students that may help to new teachers about brain compatible classroom.
