مولانا عبدالحئی سہارنپوری
ہندوستان میں عربی علم و ادب و لغت و محاورات کے جو چند مخصوص ماہرین ہیں۔ ان میں ایک مولانا عبدالحئی صاحب سہارنپوری استاد جامعہ عثمانیہ بھی تھے، افسوس کہ انہوں نے ۲۷؍ رمضان ۱۳۴۸ھ کو بمقام حیدرآباد دکن، مرض طاعون میں مبتلا ہوکر وفات پائی، مرحوم کے دادا شیخ الحدیث مولانا احمد علی صاحب سہارنپوری تھے، جو اپنے زمانے میں علم حدیث کے مرجع کل تھے، ان کے صاحبزادہ اور مرحوم مولانا عبدالحئی صاحب کے والد مولانا عبدالرحمان صاحب ادب عربی کے نامور عالم اور عربی کے شاعر تھے، انہوں نے اندلس کی تباہی کے مشہور مرثیہ کی بحروقافیہ میں مولانا حالی مرحوم کے اشارہ سے ہندوستان کی تباہی کا بہت پردرد مرثیہ لکھا تھا، مولانا عبدالحئی مرحوم کی عمر پینتالیس اور پچاس کے درمیان تھی، عربی کے شاعر اور عربی ادب و امثال اور محاورات کے بڑے عالم تھے اور سرکار نظام کی اعانت سے وہ عربی محاورات کا ایک ضخیم لغت فراہم کررہے تھے، افسوس کہ یہ عظیم الشان کارنامہ بھی ان کی موت سے ناتمام رہا۔ اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُوْنَ۔
میری ان کی ملاقات دارالعلوم ندوہ میں ۱۹۰۶ء میں ہوئی تھی، جہاں آکر وہ بعض فنون کی تکمیل اور جھوائی ٹولہ میں طب کی تعلیم حاصل کرتے تھے۔ یہ دارالعلوم کا عجیب زمانہ تھا، مولانا شبلی مرحوم زندہ تھے، مولانا حمیدالدین صاحب اور مولانا ابوالکلام صاحب کئی کئی مہینے آکر مولانا مرحوم کے پاس رہتے تھے اور ہر وقت علمی چہل پہل اور علم و ادب کی گفتگو رہتی تھی، اس صحبت میں مرحوم بھی شریک رہتے تھے۔

In Pakistan, although women’s activism was initiated since the country came into existence, but a diverse activism was observed by the nation in the form of ‘Aurat March during 2018-2020. The current study examines the Western feminism, what it was initiated for and its accomplishments in the current time. By employing a discourse analysis approach to the ‘Aurat March event, this study highlights the women’s activism in Pakistan, ‘Aurat March and the antipathy faced by organizers and supporters from the public because of its strange slogans and ridiculous placards. It also observes the relationship between western feminism and ‘Aurat March activism from the perspective of the social, cultural, and religious transformation of society. The study finds the need to raise a constructive and logical voice for women’s rights with support of the public to eradicate social evils instead of focusing on insignificant matters. It has further recommended that there is a need to build a framework in which one may be able to differentiate women’s rights in the context of western feminism and the limitation of women’s emancipation in Islamic context.
Mathematics education faces a lot of problems all over the world. Students often consider it a dull and a bore subject and their achievement in this subject is often poor.They only rely on memorization without paying attention to underlying concepts. Without learning concepts there is no comprehension and no cognitive development. Present study is an attempt to utilize and apply Synectics Model of teaching for mathematical concept understanding of students of grade eight. It was a type of quasi experimental study and Nonequivalent Control Group design was used. It was eleven-week long study. The subjects were two intact groups of 8th class, Control group (N=35) and experimental group (N=33) taken from two typical public high schools of district Haripur, KP, during session 2016-17. The instrument used in the study was a self-developed achievement test, developed on the idea of Constructed Response Questions (CRQ) from three units of 8th class mathematics textbook of KP Textbook Board Peshawar.A parallel form of the instrument from unit one was also constructed on the above mentioned pattern. The data was collected and analyzed using appropriate software. The statistical techniques as mean, standard deviation, t-test for independent and paired samples and repeated measure ANOVA were used. The results of the study revealed that after analogy integrated lessons students were able to: (i) redefine the concept in new way using their own words, (ii) relate learnt knowledge to their daily life, (iii) apply learnt knowledge in daily life, (iv) analyze and synthesize the concept, and (v) comprehend abstract concepts.
