The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of both the Islamic and existentialist paradigms of education and it was also aimed to find out the commonalities and differences between both the paradigms. The nature of this study was narrative and comparative. Data was collected from the primary and secondary sources. The Holy Quran and Sunnah were the basic sources for the Islamic paradigm of education. This study will open a new dimension of research in paradigms of education and will also introduce a comprehensive comparison between the Islamic and Existentialist paradigms of education. It will also provide opportunity to all those who have an interest in understanding both the Islamic and existentialist paradigms of education. It has also potential to guide educational philosophers and curriculum developers to decide whether only the existentialist paradigm of education can fulfil the educational needs of the modern era, or the Islamic paradigm of education has also potential to meet the educational needs of the modern era. This study declared that there were more differences than commonalities between both the paradigms. The Islamic paradigm of education was broader than the existentialist paradigm of education; because existentialism was learner centered paradigm and its focuses were only on the individual. The Islamic paradigm of education placed it focuses on the whole education system rather than any single element. According to existentialist paradigm of education, the whole education should be revolved around the need, interest and ability of the students. But in the Islamic paradigm of education all components are important, especially the role, status and responsibilities of the teacher are very important along with the status, role and responsibilities of the student. The existentialist paradigm of education preferred student centered teaching methods more, but the Islamic paradigm of education suggested to use all effective teaching methods. Basic religious education was compulsory in the Islamic paradigm of education and all other fields of education were elective. عمرآباد مدراس میں حاجی عمر (روشن کمپنی) کا خاندان ایک خاص حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ حاجی صاحب امرتسر کے علمائے غزنویہ کے فیض سے مستفیض اور توحید و سنت کے متبع تھے، کامیاب تاجر تھے، اپنے ہی نام سے شمالی آرکاٹ میں ایک زمین خرید کر عمرآباد نام کا ایک مقام آباد کیا تھا اور وہاں ایک بڑے عربی مدرسہ دارالسلام کی بنیاد رکھی تھی، چندسال ہوئے کہ انہوں نے وفات پائی اور تیں صالح اولادیں اپنی یادگار چھوڑیں، اسماعیل، ابراہیم اور اسحاق، سب سے بڑے اسماعیل تو کاروبار کے نگراں ہیں اور ابراہیم نے جو منجھلے تھے مدرسہ کی دیکھ بھال، اس کے قیام و ترقی کو اپنی زندگی کا مقصد قرار دیا تھا، ابھی پچھلے سال جوہری طنطاوی کی تفسیر کا اردو ترجمہ ایک ہزار روپے کے صرف سے مطبع معارف میں چھپوایا تھا، مدرسہ کے لئے کتب خانہ تنہا اپنی ذات سے کتابیں خرید کر فراہم کیا تھا، اس کے لئے ایک عمارت بھی بنوائی تھی، افسوس کہ یہ پھول کھلنے سے پہلے ہی مرجھا گیا، یعنی ۳۰؍ رجب ۱۳۵۷؁ھ کو اس دنیائے ناپائیدار کو الوداع کہا، رحمہ اﷲ تعالیٰ۔ (سید سلیمان ندوی، نومبر ۱۹۳۸ء)

This study examines the community services and facilities provided seeking for, (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Prophet Holy of life the in Madinah of State the in guidance in the social development of community by fulfilling the basic needs of citizens in the modern-day. By declaring Medina a first Muslim state, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) rendered invaluable services for the betterment of his people. He stressed upon providing fundamental rights of the human beings. The focus of this article is to shed light upon the ways of providing the most important needs of the citizens, which have been insured in the state of Madīnah, especially but not limited to those of a Muslim community. Nonetheless, it further elaborates how a civil government can provide the basic infrastructure, development of roads, religion abodes, supplying clean water, and promotion of peace and harmony among the people, and the rights of minorities in the light of Sīrat-e-Ṭayyibah. The method used in this article is descriptive and analytical study of the relevant Aḥādith, and building arguments on it. This study concluded State the in municipality the of foundations the led (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Prophet Holy that of Madīnah, and the basic needs of food, shelter, clean water. It ensured a peaceful society. Moreover, it is suggested that these aspects and teachings of Sīrat should be blazoned widespread to pave the way for social development, peace and harmony.

Socio Economic Determinants of Happiness a Panel Study

In this study we explore the determinants of happiness as well as analyze its relationship with economics, social matters and family factors with respect to policies. The gist of happiness can be assessed with stages of income levels of the nations and also with reference to different types of other variables that determine the behaviours of individuals directly or indirectly . We construct ind ices for Happiness, Economic, Social, Demographic, Environmental and Governance indicators through Principal Component Analysis (PCA). We compare the level of happiness among countries in different income categories that is, low income, low middle income, high middle income, and high income categories according to World Bank classification. The empirical investigation uses panel data of 56 countries for three waves of WVS for the years 1994, 1999 and 2004. The PCA is used to construct indices. For empirical investigation we used OLS, Pooled Regression model with common and Fixed Effect model and then GMM. We explored different level of happiness for all income categories. We have found that the correlates of happiness for different categories of income affect differently .
