The study aims to examine the consumers' green purchase behavior in Pakistan. The influence of psychological, economic and social factors on green purchase behavior has been empirically corroborated. A conceptual model has been proposed and subjected to empirical verification with the use of a survey. Survey is conducted in Faisalabad, an industrial city of Pakistan. Primary data is collected through the questionnaires from the consumers. Convenience sampling technique has been used and data has been analyzed by using SPSS.22 and AMOS.22. The findings from path analysis confirm the influence of organizations' green image and perceived product price & quality on green purchase attitude of the consumers. Their attitudes toward green purchases, in turn, are also seen to affect their green purchase behavior via the mediator of green purchase intention. To confirm the mediating role of green purchase intention between green purchase attitude and green purchase behavior, Sobel test and Baron and Kenny is also used. The study reveals that organizations' green Image and perceived product price & quality have significant effect on green purchase attitudes of the consumers. Tests confirm the mediator role of green purchase intention. The findings provide a better understanding of the process and significant antecedents of green purchasing and green marketing. The study also discusses how the present findings may help the Pakistani government and marketers to fine-tune their environmental programs.

جناب محمد طفیل کی وفات کے کچھ ہی روز بعد جناب قدرت اﷲ شہاب کی رحلت کی خبر ملی، وہ برطانوی حکومت کے زمانہ کے آئی۔سی۔ایس تھے، ۱۹۴۷؁ء کے بعد پاکستان کے بڑے بڑے عہدوں پر مامور رہے، وہ جب پاکستان کے گورنر جنرل جناب غلام محمد صاحب کے سکریٹری تھے، تو پہلی بار ۱۹۵۵؁ء میں ان سے دارالمصنفین کے دفتری کام کے سلسلہ میں ملا، ایک روز گورنر جنرل ہاؤس میں دوپہر کا کھانا ہوا تو وہ بھی شریک ہوئے لیکن خاموش بیٹھے رہے، ان سے کھانا شروع کرنے کے لیے کہا گیا تو بولے آج شعبان کی پندرہویں تاریخ ہے، وہ نفل روزے سے ہیں، ان کی اس مذہبیت کا اثر دستر خوان کے تمام شرکاء پر رہا۔
۱۹۵۵؁ء سے پاکستان کا سفر برابر کرتا رہا، ان سے برابر ملاقاتیں ہوتی رہیں، دارلمصنفین کی مطبوعات کا جب باضابطہ حق طباعت و اشاعت حکومت پاکستان کو دیا جارہا تھا تو انھوں نے اس کی دفتری کاروائی کرنے میں بڑی سہولتیں پہنچائیں جس کے لیے دارلمصنفین ان کا بڑا ممنون ہوا، ان میں سرکاری افسر کی رعونت بالکل نہ تھی، ہر موقع پر بڑے متین، سنجیدہ اور بااخلاق نظر آئے، بولتے بہت کم تھے مگر سنتے سب کی تھے، اور حتیٰ الامکان مدد کیا کرتے تھے، ان کو انگریزی اور اردو لکھنے میں بڑی مہارت تھی، اردو ادب کا بڑا عمدہ مذاق رکھتے تھے لیکن اس کا اظہار اپنی گفتگوؤں میں نہ ہونے دیتے، ادبی حلقوں میں اپنی اردو تحریروں کے لیے مقبول تھے، دعا ہے کہ اﷲ تبارک و تعالیٰ ان کی نیکیوں، لوگوں کے ساتھ کرم گستریوں اور روز مرہ زندگی میں ان کی خوبیوں کی بدولت ان کو اپنی آغوش عفو و کرم میں لے کروہی جگہ عطا فرمائیں جو نیک بندوں کو اس کی بارگاہ میں ملا کرتی ہے، آمین۔...

قرآن مجید کی تلاوت، نقل و حمل اور خط وطباعت میں طہارت کی شرط کا فقہی تجزیہ

The Islamic scholars have identified several rules which deal with the reciting and reading of the Quran and touching/handling the al-Mushaf: the script of the Quran. One of the most important prerequisites, as viewed by the classical Sunni schools of Islamic law, is taharat, which includes both the physical cleanliness—by ablution (wudu) or complete body wash (ghusl) or both—and the purification of thought from allkinds of disbelief (shirk). By extending the rule of taharat, the mainstream Sunni jurists categorically forbid all non-Muslims from touching the Quran; although they are allowed to touch and read its translation as well as to listen to its recitation. This paper analyzes the views of the mainstream jurists and argues for reappraisal of several aspects of the said condition of taharat for both Muslims and non-Muslims, relying upon those jurists whose views are though different from the mainstream but are more practicable and closer to the objectives of the Islamic Sharia today.

How Brands are Placed in Movies? a Study of Sub-Continent Movies

Purpose: The aim of the research is to scrutinize the employed modes and strategies of brand placement in top rated and most liked Indo-Pak movies (Internet Movies Database rating equal or more than 7.5/10) of last five years (2013-2017). Design/Methodology/approach: Since the purpose of this research is to extract modes and strategies of brand placement in Lollywood and Bollywood movies, therefore data has been collected through observation and later examined by Content analysis technique. Findings: The paper highlights the employed modes and their proportion as well as categories of sponsor brands and their proportion in the movies. The paper also presents the involvement ratio of principal and supportive characters during the practice of brand placement. Research Limitations/implications: While the outcomes of this paper confirms the practice of brand placement in Subcontinent movies, it is recommended that the impact of different modes and strategies of brand placement on brand recall, brand image, buying behavior and etc, should be measured. Practical Implications:On theoretical front, the study will add to the understanding of academia that how many different ways, a brand can be placed in movie. While on the practical end, both movies makers and brand sponsors operating in Sub continent will get guideline for the future projects. Originality/value: In the context of Subcontinent especially Pakistan, brand placement has been proactively practiced in movies but study on this unorthodox tool has not been done with that pace. Current study is considered as pioneer study which considers films of both neighbor countries and utilizes uncontroversial data collection tool (which was not used before).
