افسوس ہے کہ گزشتہ ماہ مولانا محمد شاہد فاخری نے وفات پائی، وہ الہ آباد کے مشہور مذہبی خانوادہ دائرہ شاہ اجمل سے تعلق رکھتے تھے، مذہبی کاموں کے ساتھ ان کو ملک کے سماجی اور سیاسی مسائل سے بھی دلچسپی تھی، وہ جمعیۃ علمائے ہند کے نائب صدر تھے، انھوں نے آزادی کی جدوجہد میں نمایاں حصہ لیا تھا اور قیدوبند میں بھی مبتلا ہوئے تھے، آزادی کے بعد بھی وہ ملک و ملت کی خدمت میں لگے رہے اور اس راہ میں مشکلات و مصائب برداشت کرتے رہے، وہ دارالمصنفین کے کاموں کے بڑے قدرداں اور مداح تھے، اﷲ تعالیٰ ان کی مغفرت فرمائے اور انھیں اپنی رحمتوں سے سرفراز فرمائے۔ (عبد السلام قدوائی ندوی، اکتوبر ۱۹۷۵ء)
This study aims to determine the effect of body mass index (BMI), sleep patterns, working years, physical workload, mental workload, and work time on work fatigue on nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 56 people. Sampling using a simple random sampling method. Data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire. Bodyweight is measured by weight scales, body temperature is measured by microtoice, and physical workload is measured by a pulse oximeter, which is by looking at the pulse of the nurse before and after work. Data analysis in this study used the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between Body Mass Index (BMI) on work fatigue (p = 0.001), there is an effect of sleep patterns on work fatigue (p = 0.019), there is an effect of tenure on work fatigue (p = 0.017), the relationship between physical workload and work fatigue (p = 0.000), there is an effect of mental workload on work fatigue (p = 0.000) and there is an effect of length of work on work fatigue (p = 0.017). The physical workload is the variable with the greatest influence on work fatigue on nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar with Exp. (B) = 14,526. The results of this study concluded that there was a significant influence between the Body Mass Index (BMI), sleep patterns, years of work, physical workload, mental workload, and length of work for nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar.
The major purpose of the study was to compare the performance of Community Model Schools and Government Girls Primary Schools in Punjab focusing staff qualifications and the overall performance. The target population of the study comprised of all Community Model Schools and Govt. Girls Primary Schools in the Punjab. However, the accessible population was 350 schools (175 Community Model Schools and 175 Govt. Girls Primary Schools) from 35 districts of Punjab. From each district 10 headmistresses, 20 teachers, 100 students, 100 parents, and ten administrators were randomly selected. For in depth study of both types of schools, six case studies (three Community Model Schools and three Govt. Girls Primary Schools) were also conducted. The instruments of data collection (questionnaires and interview schedules) were developed and validated. The data were collected through mail and personal visits. The analyses were made using SPSS. The major finding of the study highlighted that the academic and professional qualifications of the headmistresses and physical facilities of Community Model Schools were better than those of the Govt. Girls Primary Schools. These schools had low drop out, better school performance, better maintenance of enrollment record, academic performance record, availability of computers and playground than that of Govt. Girls Primary Schools. The significant inference of the study is that better qualifications of school headmistresses and better physical facilities have positive relationship with school overall performance.
