مراتب اختر کا توقیت نامہ

                ساہیوال کی دھرتی جہاں اس بات پہ نازاں ہے کہ مولانا عطا اللّٰہ جنون، مولانا عزیز الدین عظامی، حفیظ جالندھری، مجید امجد، منیر نیازی اور گوہر ہوشیارپوری جیسے نامور شعراء نے یہاں قیام کیا وہاں حاجی بشیر احمد بشیر، ناصر شہزاد، جعفر شیرازی، احسن شیرازی اور یٰسین قدرت کے علاوہ مراتب علی اختر کو بھی اسی دھرتی نے جنم دیا۔

                سید مراتب علی اختر8مئی 1940کو پیدا ہوئے۔ چار بھائیوں اور پانچ بہنوں میں ساتویں نمبر پر آتے تھے۔ ایک بہن اور ایک بھائی آپ سے چھوٹے تھے۔میونسپل کمیٹی پرائمری سکول ایف برانچ سے ابتدئی تعلیم حاصل کی اور میٹرک کا امتحان گورنمنٹ ہائی سکول ساہیوال سے پاس کیا۔ آپ کی تاریخ پیدائش کے حوالہ سے اختلاف پایا جاتا ہے۔ آپ کے چھوٹے بھائی سیّد افضال حسین گیلانی لکھتے ہیں:۔

ہم دونوں بھائیوں کی عمروں کا درمیانی وقفہ صرف چار سال کا تھا۔ گھرمیں ہم اوپر تلے کے بھائی گنے جاتے تھے۔ غور کیجئے بھلا بڑائی چھوٹائی کا یہ کوئی اتنا بڑا فرق ہے؟ یہ عمریں تو ہم جولیوں اور لنگوٹیے یاروں کی ہوتی ہیں۔ لیکن۔۔۔ حسبِ مراتب وہ اول دن ہی سے ’’بہت بڑے ‘‘ اور میں بہت چھوٹا تھا۔

امی حضور سے سنا تھا کہ جب بھائی جان چھ ماہ کے تھے تو انتہائی نحیف اور دبلے پتلے تھے۔ آپ کو حضرت بابا جی صوفی احمد شاہ صابر علیہ الرحمت کی خدمت میں پیش کیا گیا جو میرے نانا کے چھوٹے بھائی تھے اور خاندان بھر کے مرشد تھے۔ بلکہ گیلانی سادات کے مقتدر گھرانوں کے پیروپیشواتھے۔ اللّٰہ کے سچے اور مقبول بندے تھے۔ آپ نے بچے کی کمزوری اور ناتوانی کو دیکھتے ہوئے تبسم فرمایا۔ دم کیا اور پھر زیر لب گویا ہوئے۔ ’اس...

ماحولیاتی و موسمیاتی تغیرات سے متعلق عوامی ذمہ داریاں اور آگہی ( سیرت النبیﷺ کی روشنی میں) Public Responsibilities and Awareness Regarding the Environmental and Climate Changes (In the light of the Prophet's life)

Allah has made the man as his caliph on earth and created the natural resources of the universe for the sake of human beings. Due to advancement of industrialization the natural resources and environment have been threatened while the environmental pollution has become an international challenge in modern times. Some of the guiding principles mentioned in the Sirat-un-Nabiﷺ are helpful in basic guidance of humanity, such as the prohibition of extravagance and oppression, the gratitude for divine blessings, the observance of the rights of worship, and so on. However, there are certain rules and decrees that provide specific guidelines for the protection and proper use of certain natural resources, such as water, trees, agriculture, forests, wind, etc. That some of them have been ordered to perform their duties, Such as the commands to plant trees, to keep water clean, to cultivate, to raise animals and to be gentle with them, etc. Such as prohibitions of cutting down trees unnecessarily, of polluting water, of spoiling fields, and the prohibition of cruelty to animals, etc. In this study, these demands have been explained in some detail in the light of Quran and Hadiths. Exploring the Role of the Principal in Facilitating Students Leadership in Secondary School in Karachi, Pakistan

Students' leadership is one of the fundamental outcomes of schooling, which should be given importance to prepare them for the demanding and challenging futures they face. In the school, the principal plays a significant role in supporting and developing students' leadership skills. It thus becomes the principal's prime responsibility to structure and maintain a positive and enabling environment for the students, where they can recognize their own values, beliefs and strengths and try to define and solve their own problems. Thus, this study focuses on the role of the principal of a private secondary school in Karachi, Pakistan, in facilitating students' leadership skills. Since, this study seeks to explore one principal's role in a particular context, therefore a qualitative approach has been chosen, employing the case study method. The case was the principal, whereas the secondary participants were teachers, students and different teaching and learning programmes in which students were practically engaged to develop their leadership skills.The findings of the study reveal that the principal perceives his school as much more than just a building where students are taught from the textbooks and are only prepared for academic achievement. He rather puts in system and practice an approach that ensures the students' holistic development. He facilitates students' leadership skills by engaging them in purposeful activities through co curricular programmes and through encouraging teachers' professional development. The principal's role in generating resources and looking out for a variety of opportunities and strategies to develop students' leadership skills was also found to be an important area of his role. In addition, it is also observed that to develop students' leadership skills is a collective contribution of principal, vice principal and teachers. The principal does not directly influence students' leadership' skills, but sets the policies and practices that ensure student leadership.This means that no matter what approach a school takes, the willingness, motivation, dedication and commitment of the principal is fundamental to bring forth all the potentials of the stakeholders to create a collaborative learning environment in the school. Thus, the role of the principal is central and evident, for effectively leading a community of teachers, learners and other school community members, in order to students' leadership skills raise student self esteem and to help them succeed as leaders. One very illuminating finding is the selective nature of developing the leadership skills of a few. Other studies to find out how and why
