سیالکوٹ میں اردو شاعری کا ارتقاء(۱۹۴۷ ء تا۲۰۱۰)

سیالکوٹ ایک تاریخی اور ادبی خطہ  رہا ہے۔ اس کی تاریخ پانچ ہزار سال پر محیط ہے ۔یہ خطہ  جغرافیائی لحاظ سے اس مقام پر واقع ہے جہاں کئی آبی گذرگاہیں ہیں۔ کشمیر اور پنجاب کے دیگر تجارتی شہروں سے اس کا قریبی رابطہ ہے۔ سیالکوٹ تاریخی، ثقافتی، سماجی، تہذیبی، علمی اور ادبی لحاظ سے لاہور اور دوسرے ادبی، ثقافتی، تہذیبی، تاریخی اور علمی شہروں سے کسی طور پر بھی کم نہیں ۔ اس شہر کی ثقافت توانائی اور رنگا رنگی لیے ہوئے ہے۔ یہاں کے میلے ٹھیلے، روایتی تہوار اور دیگر ثقافتی سرگرمیاں اس  خطے  کو  ہمیشہ ممتاز کرتی رہی ہیں۔      
سیالکوٹ کو اقبال و فیض کے مولد ہونے کا لا زوال فخر حاصل ہے۔ یہ ایک صنعتی شہر ہے۔ اس کی آبادی تقریباً تیس لاکھ سے زیادہ نفوس پر مشتمل ہے سر زمین سیالکوٹ صدیوں کی انسانی تہذیب و تمدن اور ادب و ثقافت کا عظیم الشان گہوارہ ہے ۔ اس دھرتی کے تاریخی آثار  مدت سے مورخین و ماہرین آثار قدیمہ کی دلچسپی کا سامان بھی رہے ہیں ۔ یہاں کی تہذیب ٹیکسلا اور موہنجو ڈارو کی تہذیبوں کے ہم پلہ ہے۔
   سیالکوٹ کی مٹی بڑی زرخیز اور مردم خیز ہے ۔سرزمین سیالکوٹ نے علم و ادب اور فنون لطیفہ کے میدانوں میں گراں قدر خدمات سرانجام دی ہیں۔ اس خطے کے باشندوں  نے پاکستان کی صنعتی  و اقتصادی ترقی کے ساتھ ساتھ علم و فن کی خدمت بھی جاری رکھی ۔ ماضی میں ملا کمال کشمیری ، ملا عبدالحکیم سیالکوٹی، امین حزیں سیالکوٹی ، اثر صہبائی، مرزا ریاض  اور غلام الثقلین نقوی نے علمی وادبی حوالے سے سیالکوٹ کا نام روشن کیا۔ مولوی میر حسن ، مولوی ابراہیم میر، ڈاکٹر جمشید راٹھور اور یوسف سلیم چشتی نے علم کی پیاس بجھائی۔...

حیل فقہ اسلامی كے تناظر میں

Abstract: Heela (-f*) is an Arabic word used as a term in Islamic Jurisprudence. In English language it can be explained "evasiveness" which can be interrupted in to ways as a person may understand something else than the meaning ofspeaker without labelling the lie. It demands wisdom and minuteness to be usedfor achieving the objectives. It legitimately lawful evasiveness and sinful evasiveness all two dimensions fit. The valid evasiveness fulfill all the legal requirements. It has further three types. Infirst type although evasiveness may be invalid but the achieved purpose must be lawful and valid. For example, a woman, who hasfiledfor divorcedfrom her husband can present before jury the fake witness, in order to achieve her purpose. In second type an evasiveness may be used as mean of profit or hurdlefrom getting a loss. It has the relation ofcause and effect. While in third type it has an element ofambiguity, which may be used to avoid the loss by misleading or giving false statement. Sinful evasiveness is the one which is used to achieve an illegal target. It is further divided into three types. In first type the evasiveness and the required purpose both stand illegal. In second type the evasiveness may be lawful but the targeted objective is unlawful. While in third type the evasiveness and the purpose both may be valid but these are manipulated to achieve an illegal purpose and objective.

The Potential of Breeding Gossypium Hirsutum L. for Salinity Tolerance

Salinity is an abiotic stress that can significantly reduce the crop productivity. The primary purpose of the research was to explore the breeding potential of cotton for salinity tolerance. For this purpose, 50 cotton genotypes were grown at control, 10 dS m-1 and 15 dS m-1 salt stress conditions at seedlings stage. Variations were observed for all the genotypes for chlorophyll contents, root and shoot length, fresh shoot and root weight, dry root and shoot weight, Na+, K+ and K+/Na+. The genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variance was moderate to high, heritability and genetic advance was also high, which indicated that genotypes can be improved for salinity tolerance at seedlings stage through selection. The genotypes that performed better for the characters having high heritability were selected as tolerant genotypes whereas the genotypes that performed poor for characters were considered salt sensitive. NIAB-824, FH-312, FH-118, MNH-992, CIM-612 and KEHKSHAN were found salt tolerant and SB-149, BS-80 and FH-114 were found salt sensitive genotypes. The Line × Tester mating design was used to find out the genetic components for yield (Plant height, Number of bolls, boll weight and seed cotton yield), fiber traits (fiber fineness, fiber strength, fiber length and ginning out turn), ionic traits (Na+, K+ and K+/Na+) and physiological traits (H2O2, SOD, POD, CAT and TSP) at control, 10 dSm-1 and 15 dSm-1 salt stress conditions. Analysis of variance indicated that there were significant differences among genotypes. The salt stress caused the reduction in all traits except Na+, ginning out turn percentage, H2O2 and SOD. Non- additive gene action was found for yield, fiber, ionic and physiological traits except Na+ ions which indicated the additive gene action. Proportional contribution to total variance for all the traits was maximally contributed by the lines whereas tester’s contribution was less. Among lines, KEHKSHAN was the best general combiner for plant height, number of bolls and seed cotton yield under control, 10 dSm-1 and 15 dSm-1 and FH-312 was best general combiner for fiber fineness, fiber length, fiber strength, ginning out turn percentage and catalase under control, 10 dSm-1 and 15 dSm-1 salt stress and FH-118 had highest GCA effects for K+ concentration, SOD and TSP under control and salt stress. Among testers FH-114 was best general combiner for most of the traits. SB-149 had positive significant GCA effects for fiber fineness, fiber length, fiber strength, POD and catalase under control and salt stress. KEHKSHAN×FH-114 had positive and significant specific combining ability effects for most of the traits and hybrid KEHKSHAN × FH-114 also indicated highly significant mid-parent and better parent heterosis for most of the studied traits. The selected hybrid can be utilized in the future breeding programs against salt stress.
