مولانا شاہ عون احمد قادری
مولانا شاہ عون احمد قادری کی وفات کی خبر تاخیر سے ملی، ان کا تعلق پھلواری کے ایک مشہور علمی و دینی خانوادے سے تھا۔ ہندوستان کے جو مراکز اور خانقاہیں ہدایت و ارشاد اور سلوک و عرفان کے ساتھ ہی علم و فضل میں بھی شہرت و امتیاز رکھتی ہیں، ان میں ایک خانقاہ مجیبیہ بھی ہے، جس کے مولانا شاہ عون احمد ایک بزرگ اور باوقار حامل شریعت و طریقت اور ممتاز عالم و فقیہ تھے، وہ جہاں دعوت و تبلیغ اور اصلاح و ارشاد کا فریضہ انجام دیتے تھے اور اس کے لیے ملک و بیرون ملک کے سفر بھی کرتے تھے جس کی وجہ سے ان کے مریدین اور معتقدین کا وسیع حلقہ تھا، وہاں مسلم تنظیموں اور مسلم اداروں سے بھی وابستہ رہتے تھے اور مسلمانانِ ہند کی مشترکہ ملی و اجتماعی جدوجہد میں بھی حصہ لیتے تھے۔
جمعیۃ علمائے ہند سے برابر ان کا تعلق رہا، عرصہ تک وہ جمعیۃ علمائے بہار کے صدر اور مرکزی جمعیۃ علماء کے نائب صدر رہے، مسلم پرسنل لابورڈ کے رکن تھے، فقہ وافتا میں امتیاز کی وجہ سے امارت شرعیہ بہار و اڑیسہ کے قاضی رہے اور برسوں قضا کی خدمت انجام دی، کئی مقامی علمی و تعلیمی اداروں کے علاوہ دارالعلوم ندوۃ العلماء کے بھی رکن تھے۔
شاہ صاحب نے اجمیر کے مدرسہ معینیہ میں تعلیم کی تکمیل کی، اس سے پہلے فرنگی محل لکھنو میں بھی تحصیل علم کرچکے تھے، ان کے اساتذہ میں معقولات و درسیات کے مشہور فاضل مولانا حکیم محمد شریف مصطفےٰ آبادی، اعظم گڑھی بھی تھے جو ان کے جدامجد مولانا شاہ بدرالدین کے مرید خاص تھے، مولانا عون احمد صاحب کو اپنے عم بزرگوار مولانا شاہ محی الدین قادری امیر شریعت ثانی صوبہ بہار و اڑیسہ سے بیعت و خلافت ملی تھی۔

Women and Feminism: A Discourse Analysis of Contemporary Theories and Islamic Teachings

Modern social activists through media present Islam’s view about women as an oppressed figure linked to her sexuality through so-called liberalism; her oppression is particularly symbolized by obsessive concern with sex, women’s bodies, the veil, and female isolation. While on factual grounds such mind set and groups have oppressed women by judging their worth as persons based on physical attractiveness. Such modern trends and feministic approaches have turned the image of woman as tool of entertainment or attraction. Those who are convinced by such modern values regard woman‘s status in Islam as inferior on the basis of several issues including; guardianship in marriage, polygamy, divorce right. Unfortunately this horrible disease has crept into Muslim societies in the name of cultural interrelation which is in total disregard for our purity and distinguishing values. The magnitude of women rights in Islam with comparison to feminism has been covered in this brief paper. The first part of the paper gives image of women in western society and bases for initiatives taken for feminism movement in west. Second part of the paper gives a comparison between Islamic approach of women rights and feminism. Third part of the paper describes the view of women liberation and modernity in western society. In fourth part of the paper discussion about women oppression has been presented. In fifth part Islamic view of women rights has been given through Quranic verses and references which is followed by findings and conclusion of the whole discussion

Christian Muslim Approaches to the Life of Jesus Christ An Analytical Study of Modern Trends

This dissertation consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, survey of Christian Muslim literature has been presented and different modern trends have been described in a lucid manner. All the relevant sources related to Jesus came under discussion. The major focus was upon the Holy Qur’an, Ahadith and Christian sources. In the second chapter, different issues of controversy between Christianity and Islam are presented and then those are analytically and critically evaluated in a comparative method. To substantiate Islamic viewpoint, frequent evidences have been presented from the Christianity as well. In the third chapter, classical and modern Christian approaches to the life of Jesus have been discussed and presented in an impartial way. A historical evolution in the thought of leading Christian scholars came under discussion. There viewpoints are portrayed as they wanted to be understood without any prejudice and partiality. Fourth chapter deals with Muslim representation of Jesus Christ. Most of the Muslim scholarship presented Islamic understanding of Christianity in general and Jesus Christ in particular. An analysis of classical and modern trends in Muslim thought was the major focus in this chapter. In the fifth chapter, Christological issues in Christian Muslim literature have been identified. Different references have been quoted for the necessity of Dialogue between Christian and Muslim World.. In this chapter, Dialogue has been defined effectively in the light of Muslim & Western scholarship. We have applied comparative method, in a descriptive and analytic way. A code of conduct has been suggested for the Provisions of Interfaith dialogue in Christian Muslim perspective. An attempt has also been made to clarify its scope, methodology and Principles keeping in view the Discourse of Islam and Christianity.
