Abstract

Allah Ta'ala is the creator, owner and constitution maker of this 
universe. Along with the creation of this universe, Allah Ta'ala also
 determined its system. Prophets (صلى الله عليه وسلم), elders of religion and people who 
care about this Ummah struggle for the implementation of this constitution. 
Syed Abul Alaa Maududi is one of those who founded Jamaat-e-Islami and 
Jamaat-e-Islami made the Islamic constitution its manifesto in this state of 
Pakistan. A constitution, is a state's written code of conduct by which its 
rulers, citizens and institutions operate. Islam has defined the way of 
constitution in the light of which the Islamic constitution is arranged. Based 
on this constitution, a state is considered Islamic or non-Islamic state. After 
the creation of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami first paved the way for the 
resolution objectives. With the advice and consent of Syed Abul Alaa 
Maududi (R.A), a draft of the objectives of the resolution was prepared and 
approved by the Constituent Assembly on March 12, 1949. The purpose of 
the resolution was actually the word of the state that transformed it into an 
Islamic state. With the adoption of the Resolution's objectives, a 
Fundamental Principles Committee was formed, which submitted its 
constitutional report 19 months later. This report was rejected by Jamaat-e-
Islami and public circles. In August 1952, Jamaat-e-Islami presented a 
detailed constitutional outline so that the report of proposed principles could 
be based on Islamic principles. However, the second report was also 
rejected. On October 7, 1953, the reconciliation formula was presented by 
the Prime Minister, but before its approval, the assembly was dissolved. 
With the newly formed Assembly, Jamaat-e-Islami's struggle was renewed 
once again. Finally, as a result of Jamaat-e-Islami's efforts and movement, 
the first Islamic constitution came into effect in the country of Pakistan on 
March 23, 1956.
