Liver is an essential organ that controls around various physiological functions such as production of bile, plasma proteins, and hormones aids in digestion and detoxification of drugs as well. Drug induced liver injury (DILI) is the principal cause of acute liver failure (ALF) in various countries. There is a broad array of anti-psychotic drugs (APDs) which are used to treat bipolar disorders most commonly schizophrenia and other neuro-psychotic disorders. One of the two famous anti-psychotic agents; aripiprazole and ziprasidone belong to atypical class of anti-psychotics. Although APDs are currently being used all over the world yet these drugs have displayed many side effects. In-vivo estimation of acute liver injury level by APDs therefore bears significance so as to determine the efficacy and identify potential health hazards. Current study will determine the liver injury induction potential of APDs in animal model. To induce acute liver injury, acetaminophen (APAP) was used. The foremost drug responsible for DILI is APAP which induces oxidative stress and dysfunction of mitochondria. Collection of blood samples was done in aseptic conditions, and collected serum was subjected to biochemical estimations. Serum ALP and ALT levels has been assessed to determine the effect of APDs on liver functioning efficiency. Estimation of serum ferritin has provided iron storage estimation. Moreover, the study had also evaluated the renal efficiency changes induced by APDs via estimation of urea and creatinine levels. HDL, LDL, TG and cholesterol levels were also estimated to identify the effect of these drugs on lipid profile. Thus, the study will provide a rationale for the utilization of APDs and their effects on a body system, in comparison to APAP induced acute liver injury.

Anxiety Disorders in Pregnant Women: Causes and How to Overcome Them

The article explains the origins of anxiety disorders during pregnancy, and their treatment. Pregnant women's anxiety is normally manifests itself as emotions, perceptions, and behaviors, which is mediated by biological, social, and genetic influences. Probability analysis is done of this kind. Using a survey of 1500 rural residents as a random number between 100 and 1600 produces a 200% response rate. Those findings revealed that 60% of the participants had adequate reproductive age and 51% had mild to moderate anxiety, and 78.4% had high anxiety. The reasons leading to pregnant women's anxiety include their age, working status, lack of care from a boyfriend, having had previously given birth, and their wellbeing before becoming pregnant, all of the woman's family members, and maternal well-being. To resolve this is by sufficient relaxation, anti-depressants, a safe diet, and physical exercise, along with learning how to behave more positively, and by means of ourselves, or through prantal massage.

Growth Performance and Nutrient Digestibility of Indian Major Carps Fingerlings Fed Citric Acid Supplemented Moringa Leaf Meal and Moringa Seed Meal Based Diets

This investigation studied the supplementation effect of citric acid (CA) to Moringe oleifera leaf meal (MOLM) and Moringe oleifera seed meal (MOSM) based diets on the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, mineral utilization, carcass proximate composition and hematology of Indian major carps (IMCs) fingerlings. Moringa leaves and moringa seeds were used as main test ingredients to formulate MOLM and MOSM based experimental diets, respectively. Each experimental diet was sub-divided into six test diets supplemented with different levels of CA (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%). Ten fingerlings of each species viz. Catla catla, Labeo rohita and Cirrhinus mrigala were stocked separately in water tanks and were used in triplicate for each treatment. The fingerlings were provided with feed at the rate of 5% of live wet weight. The duration of the trial was 90-days. The results revealed that supplementation of CA in MOLM and MOSM based diets significantly (p˂ 0.05) improved overall growth performance, nutrient digestibility, mineral utilization, carcass proximate composition and hematological indices of IMCs fingerlings compared to control diets (diet with no CA supplementation). Comparison of means showed that supplementation of CA at 3% level in MOLM and MOSM based diets caused significant improvement in growth performance, nutrient digestibility, mineral utilization, carcass proximate composition and hematological indices of IMCs fingerlings compared to other CA levels in most cases. In conclusion, CA acidified MOLM and MOSM based diets are recommended for better growth performance, nutrient digestibility, mineral utilization, body proximate composition and hematological indices of IMCs fingerlings.
