The study aimed at checking the existing level of understanding of concepts in the subject of Chemistry among Class IX students and to investigate the effectiveness of concept formation teaching model over traditional method on Class IX students’ achievement. It was an experimental study in which concept formation teaching model was compared with traditional method. A sample of 460 students (300 Boys and 160 girls) were selected from nine Government High Schools for Boys and Girls of Rawalpindi city for administering an achievement test to measure the existing level of understanding of concepts in the subject of Chemistry among Class IX students. For experiment, sample size was 290. One hundred and forty three students in experimental groups and one hundred and forty seven students in controlled groups were selected because the classes were taken “as is”. Pre-test-Post-test Nonequivalent-Groups Design was used. The students of experimental and controlled groups were taught concept formation teaching model and traditional method respectively for three months. Pre-test and post-test were administered to experimental and controlled groups at the beginning and end of the experiment. 31 lesson plans were made on the format of direct instruction from chapter No. 7 to 10 of Chemistry textbook for Class IX published by Punjab Textbook Board. To determine the effects of concept formation teaching model on achievement of Class IX students in the subject of Chemistry, the significance of difference between the mean achievement scores of experimental and controlled groups was tested at .05 level by applying t Test, Product-Moment Correlation and analyses of covariance. Data analysis reveals that existing level of understanding of concepts in the subject of Chemistry among Class IX students was not up to 50 percent. The students of experimental and controlled groups were equal in pre-test at the beginning of the experiment. The experimental groups outscored significantly the controlled groups on post-test showing the supremacy of concept formation teaching model on traditional method. Hence the ultimate results of the study indicated that concept formation teaching model was more effective as compared to vtraditional method. Furthermore, concept formation teaching model appeared to be favorable for both boys and girls for the understanding of Chemistry concepts.

صوتیات کا اجمالی جائزہ
زبان اللہ تعالیٰ کی ایک عظیم نعمت ہے۔ یہ اظہار کا ذریعہ ہے۔ صوتیات وہ علم ہے جو ہمیں زبان کی آوازوں اور ان کی جان کاری میں نہ صرف مدد فراہم کرتا ہے، بل کہ اس کے لیے اصول بھی مرتب کرتا ہے۔ صوتیات میں زبان کی آوازوں کےپیداہونے کے طریقے اور ان کی صحیح درجہ بندی کا مطالعہ کیاجاتا ہے۔ صوتیات لسانیات کی اہم شاخ ہے۔ بعض علمائے لسانیات کے بقول صوتیات کے بغیر لسانیات نا کافی ہے۔ صوتیات کا کام زبان کی آوازوں کو دریافت کرنا، اس کو صحیح رسم الخط فراہم کرنا، جن زبانوں کے پاس رسم الخط نہیں ہے انہیں رسم الخط فراہم کرنا اور الفاظ کی درست ادائیگی میں معاونت ہے۔ ہر زبان میں عہد کے ساتھ ساتھ تبدیلیاں رونماہوتی رہتی ہیں۔کچھ الفاظ متروک ہوتےہیں، کچھ کا املا بدل جاتا ہے اور کچھ قواعد واصول بھی بدلتے رہتےہیں۔ صوتیات کسی بھی زبان کا منظم علامتی اور تصوراتی نظام ہوتا ہے۔ انسانی ذہن بے شمار آوازیں پیدا کرنے کی خُداداد صلاحیت رکھتا ہے۔ انسانی منہ سے اَن گنت آوازیں نکلتی ہیں لیکن صوتیات میں صرف بامعنی آوازوں کا مطالعہ کیا جاتا ہے۔ زمان ومکان کے حالات کے مطابق زبان میں پایا جانے والا تغیر وتبدل اس کی صوتی ہیئت میں بھی تبدیلیاں لاتا ہے۔

Islam is a complete and perfect code of life. We find guidance from Islam on any aspect of life. This study aims to explore the evaluation of existing audit system in Islamic perspective. The study indicates the gaps and challenges in audit system keeping in view Islamic laws and principles. The study is qualitative in nature. Relevant documents have been analyzed keeping in view objectives of the study. Thematic content analysis has been used for the analysis of collected data. The study is significant for the researchers, policy makers and audit experts. Recommendation of the study are beneficial particularly for the Audit Department to overcome the existing gaps and challenges.

In-Silico Analysis of Nssnps Associated With Cyp11b2 Gene

CYP11B2 gene is located over the upper layer of the kidney. It produces aldosterone synthase enzyme and thereby has an essential role to balance salt and mineral level in the body. Any SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) mutation in this gene can dis-regulate the production of aldosterone hormone in the body which may lead to many diseases including hypertension and cardiac diseases. To control the excess production of this aldosterone an inhibitor ?Fadrozole? is being used by scientists; the Fadrozole associates with an active site cavity of CYP11B2. This study has been divided into two portions; in the first phase, the four computational tools (SIFT, Polyphen-2, I-Mutant, ConSurf) were used to identify 29 deleterious SNPs out of 1600 CYP11B2 SNPs. In the second phase, five residues (R448G, R141P, W260R, F130S, and F445S) were identified in the active site cavity (out of 29 deleterious CYP11B2 SNPs) at the distance of 5Ao using PyMol. Dynamic simulation and binding free energy calculation techniques were applied to determine the effect of these mutations on the CYP11B2-Fadrozole compound. The results showed that Fadrozole binding becomes stronger with CYP11B2 with these mutations which proved the efficiency of this drug inhibitor with these highly damaging mutations. This study narrows down the large dataset of CYP11B2 SNPs and identifies 29 deleterious SNPs as well as it validate the fadrozole inhibitor efficiency for cavity residues
