The requisite degree of Empowerment has been ascertained through selected dimensions of gender Empowerment (Economic stability, welfare, mobility and access, organizational environment, political and legal awareness, decision and policy making power, social network). This research is designed to seek answers to stated hypotheses and suggest measures for improving labour productivity of apparel (garment) sector of Pakistan through Female Employee’s Empowerment. The research is designed to be descriptive and empirical in nature. The research variables and their dimensions are defined and measured through survey. The survey was conducted on the basis of questionnaire tool, interview protocol and discussions. The researcher focuses on formal research with the purpose of testing the developed hypotheses and analyses thereupon. The research investigated the impact of Female Employee’s Empowerment on labour productivity and also the correlation of Female Employee’s Empowerment and its dimensions with labour productivity. In this research, ten hypotheses were made and their impact and goodness was tested. (H1) The Predictor (Female Employee’s Empowerment) significantly explains the variance in the Criterion Variable (Labour 2Female Employee’s Empowerment Productivity),(H2) The Labour Productivity significantly differs for different levels of Income,(H3) The Labour Productivity significantly differs for different types of Income,(H4) Middle aged Female Employee’s have more Labour Productivity as compared to Young aged and Old aged Female Employee’s, (H5) The Labour Productivity of Graduate Female Employee’s is greater than less educated Female Employee’s,(H6) Married Female Employee’s have higher labour productivity than Bachelor, Divorced and Widowed Female employee’s, (H7) Skilled Female employee’s have higher labour productivity than Semi-skilled and Non-skilled,(H8) The Mean Labour Productivity of Female Employee’s significantly differs for the three Working Shifts,(H9) There will be a relationship between the shifts of the Female Employee’s and their Income Group(H10) The shift of the Female Employee’s is dependent on the Educational level. At the end, the research has been concluded by extending recommendations, contributions to knowledge and possible future research / studies on the subject.

The Life and Achievements of Hyder Bux Jatoi, With an Special Reference to His Social and Political Contributions

Comrade Hyder Bux Jatoi, also known as ‘Baba e Sindh’, was the most prominent leader of the farmer societies of pre-independence Pakistan. Although he was a bureaucrat turned into a farmer activist, but later he played a very important role in the social and political settings of the country at that time. Most of the Pakistani people remember him as a sign of change and renovation in the agricultural history of Pakistan. This was a great effort to credit the front-runners and their struggle; it is very prominent among the laborers and landless leaders of the world. He devoted his entire life to set peace up for the struggle of land ownership rights to dispossessed farmers, and highlighted the cause, to be noticed by the notables. The vision of Mr. Jatoi is still reflected in many situations when initiatives are taken by the various governments of the world to provide the masses with the basic requirements of development and peace.

Characterization of Inhibin Gene in Patientsof Polycysticovarysydrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is multisymptomatic gynecological disorder with high prevalence (5-10%) among human females. Primarily it affects female reproductive system resulting in infrequent menstrual cycles. Visceral adiposity, insulin resistance, hirsutism and infertility are other consequences of PCOS. Genetic as well as environmental factors contribute for the progression of PCOS. Multiple studies revealed association of PCOS with mutations in different genes specifically expressing androgens and androgen receptors. PCOS is an autosomal and X-linked disease. 60-70% of PCOS patients suffer from hyperandrogenism i.e. high level of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) & luteinizing hormone (LH). While LH/FSH ratio elevates in PCOS patients. Inhibin A downregulates the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) to promote ovulation and regulate normal menstrual cycle. Inhibin A is a hetero dimer of INHA and INHB subunits. INHA along with Antimullerian hormone can be used as a diagnostic marker for PCOS. This study has been conducted using data of 50 participants. They were classified into two groups, control and experimental group. Out of total 50 participants, 30 were PCOS patients and 20 were healthy control subjects. Blood samples of PCOS patients were collected from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. Extracted DNA from blood was used for amplification of exon 2 of INHA subunit of Inhibin A and B gene. Restriction digestion of Amplified gene segment was carried out with restriction endonuclease. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) results showed 30% of PCOS patients having heterozygous mutation (G769A/ rs12720062). Results revealed positive risk of developing PCOS when having A allele at position 769bp in heterozygous state. So, we concluded that there is an association between heterozygosity at rs12720062 and risk of development of PCOS.
