The goal of this thesis is to present generalized geometry of two famous chain complexes through generalized homomorphisms. First one is Grassmannian configuration chain complex of free abelian groups generated by all the projective configurations of m points in any n-dimensional vector space Vn(F) defined over some arbitrary field F, while other is Goncharov polylogarithmic group complex of classical polylog groups. Many researchers defined geometry of Grassmannian configuration with classical polylogarithmic groups only for lower weights, i.e. n = 2 and 3, to present commutative diagrams. Here geometry for lower weights is not only redefined in different ways but also it is generalized for higher weights, i.e. n = 4, 5, 6 up to any weight n ∈ N. Initially, geometry for special cases for weight n = 2 and n = 3 is introduced in detail. Bloch Suslin polylogarithmic group complex and Grassmannian configuration chain complexes are connected through morphisms for weight 2 such that the associated polygon is proven to be commutative and composition of morphisms is bi-complex. For weight 3, Goncharov classical poly-logarithmic and Grassmannian configuration chain complexes are connected to provide commutative and bi-complex diagram. Then geometry of Goncharov motivic complex and Grassmannian configuration complex is defined for weight 4 up to generalized weight n ∈ N through two types of generalized morphisms. All the associated diagrams are shown to be bi-complex and commutative. Lastly, and most importantly, extensions in geometry of Goncharov polylogarithmic and Grassmannian configuration chain complexes are introduced to generalize all morphisms between the above two chain complexes and also to generalize functional equations of polylogarithmic groups up to order n. For extensions of geometry, additional morphisms are introduced for weight 3 up to higher weight 6, to extend commutative and bi-complex diagrams. Then these extensions in geometry are generalized for any weight n to all morphisms between above two chain complexes. Associated generalized commutative and bi-complex diagrams are exhibited

THE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS PERCEPTION ON ENGLISH TEXTBOOK WHEN ENGLISH RINGS THE BELL

Abstract The purpose of this study is to compare the student's and teacher’s perceptions about their current English textbook they used. This study categorized as a descriptive qualitative study. The population of VIII grade students (45 students) of junior high school was involved in this study and an English teacher of them too. The questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used as the instrument of this research. Besides, the guideline of the interview and questionnaire was from [1]Cunningsworth's (1995) theory which is explained about the book evaluation. The data were analyzed through Google form percentage presentation for the questionnaire while transcription, coding was used for the interview section. The result showed, 75% of students believed that the book they used has good quality. While the rest 25% felt it did not fulfill their expectation and need. Besides, the teachers’ perception supports it with some of the books’ part lacks organization and employed too many vocabularies. Whereas the students felt their current level was not suitable with the teachers’ beliefs, but the teacher believed that it was appropriate with the students’ level. So, there were few different perceptions between them.  However, the teacher believed that her role in helping students with textbook usage could help the main point of students’ need due to the teacher has lack of knowledge and awareness to do coursebook evaluation. Therefore, further research needs to be done to make this study more comprehensive.

Child Labour: A Challenge for Universalization of Primary Education at District Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Universalization of Primary Education and eradication of Child Labour are world’s common issues. There is a dire need to explore and search out the root causes of these two opponent issues those which reciprocate each other. This study tries to unveil all the visible and invisible forces behind these issues which not only hinder Universalization of Primary Education, but also escalate Child Labour. The main reasons for Child Labour in many countries including Pakistan and particularly in the 3rd world nations is lack of basic education which is mainly caused by poverty, lack of educational institutions, community participation, enrollment campaigns, location, socio-economic of the child’s family, family background, gender discrimination, high educational expenses and the dropouts due to teacher’s harsh behaviour. This study attempts to assess and search out the causes of Child Labour and its adverse impact on Universalization of Primary Education at District Bannu. Objectives of this study were: to explore the determinants of Child Labour and Universalization of Primary Education, to identify different factors responsible for Child Labour as perceived by parents of the Child Labourers, to find out different kinds of hurdles in the Universalization of Primary Education as experienced by Teachers and to analyze the impact of Child Labour on Universalization of Primary Education at District Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The study was a blend of different methods for which exploratory sequential design (QUAL+QUAN) was applied by the researcher. The population of current study comprised all the parents or guardians of the total 992 Child Labourers and 2939 teachers teaching at primary level at District Bannu. The sample of the study for Qualitative phase comprised twenty participants for interview (10 male + 10 female Child Labourers). Similarly for Quantitative phase it consisted of 147 teachers and 100 parents/guardians of Child Labourers. For Qualitative data collection 20 open-ended interviews were conducted and for Quantitative data collection a self-developed questionnaire for teachers and a separate structured questionnaire for parents/guardians based on Qualitative findings were distributed among them to know their perceptions regarding Child Labour and Universalization of Primary Education. For Qualitative data analysis NVIVO (V-10) was used which provided determinants in the form of main themes. Similarly for Quantitative data analysis SPSS (V-24) supported by descriptive statistics in terms of percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation, while ANOVA, Correlation, Regression, Chi square and T-test was used as inferential statistics by the researcher. From the findings it was concluded that Child Labour which is mostly caused by poverty, teacher’s behaviour, child status, family status and location was a real and the biggest challenge for the Universalization of Primary Education. Therefore, it is recommended to the agencies and concerned high ups to eliminate Child Labour through effective implementation of universal compulsory primary education without any further delay.
