۱۲؍ مئی ۸۴ء کو ہندوستان کے نامور عالم مولانا مفتی عتیق الرحمن فالج کے موذی مرض میں ایک طویل مدت تک مبتلا رہ کر ۸۴ سال کی عمر میں اس دارفانی سے رحلت گراے عالمِ جاودانی ہوئے۔
ان کے اس مرض کی المناکی دارالمصنفین سے بھی بڑی حد تک وابستہ ہے، اس لئے اس ادارہ کے خدام ان کی وفات حسرت آیات سے بہت سوگوار ہیں، فروری ۱۹۸۲ء میں یہاں ’’اسلام اور مستشرقین‘‘ پر جو سیمینار ہوا تھا، اس میں وہ شرکت کے لئے تشریف لائے تھے، تین روز یہاں بہت ہنسی خوشی سے گذارے، اس کے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت بھی کی، خوش خوش یہاں سے اور شرکاء کے ساتھ روانہ ہوئے تو ریل ہی میں بارہ بنکی کے پاس ان پر فالج کا سخت حملہ ہوا، ان کے ہم سفر مولانا سعید احمد اکبر آبادی اور مولانا سجاد حسین نے ان کو کسی طرح لکھنؤ کے ہسپتال میں داخل کیا، ان کی طبیعت کچھ سنبھلی تو پھر دہلی لے جائے گئے، اس وقت سے اپنی وفات تک تقریباً سوا دو سال تک بستر ہی پر رہے، خیال ہوتا ہے کہ وہ دارالمصنفین کا سفر نہ کرتے تو اس موذی مرض میں مبتلا نہ ہوتے، مگر مشیتِ ایزدی یہی تھی، راقم ان کی عیادت کے لئے کئی بار ان کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا ان کا جسم تو بیکار ہوچکا تھا، مگر دماغ بیدار رہا، گفتگو میں وہی روانی اور شیر ینی ہوتی جو ان کی طبیعت کا مخصوص رنگ تھا، ہر قسم کے مسائل پر گفتگو کرتے، مگر زیادہ تر دارالعلوم دیوبند کے قضیۂ نامرضیہ پر اظہار خیال کرتے، ایسا معلوم ہوتا کہ وہاں کا المیہ پیش نہ آتا تو اس مرض میں مبتلا نہ ہوتے اور ہوتے بھی تو اتنے دنوں تک بستر علالت پر پڑے نہ رہتے، دارالعلوم دیوبند...
This study aims to analyze the quality of quarantine services on ship crew satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Belawan Sea port. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional method which aims to analyze the quality of quarantine services on satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Belawan Sea Port using the ServQual approach which consists of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results of the study are expected to provide input regarding the quality of quarantine services provided by the Class I Medan KKP to ship crews during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the ServQual analysis, the results show that the satisfaction of the crew of the quarantine service at Belawan Port is very satisfying with a suitability level of 107.56% (the average service / reality score is 4.00 and the expectation score is 3.72). It is suggested to improve coordination and more intensive advocacy with shipping agents as intermediaries between officers and skippers as crew so as to reduce the length of service waiting time, in order to increase the number of human resources carrying out document checks on board, involving female medical officers for health checks The crew who came from affected countries/ports to facilitate information retrieval, ordered the boarding officers to bring Personal Protective Equipment when interacting with the crew.
Everyone has a distinct style of thinking and learning. Because of individual differences, the cognitive learning style of every individual is different. Cognition explains an individual''s usual mode of perceiving, thinking, remembering, or solving problem. Cognitive learning style is typically explained as a personality aspect which influences values, social interaction, and attitude. Researches have revealed that cognitive learning styles and attitude are joint contributors to behavior. This study was designed to understand, identify and compare cognitive learning styles and science related attitude of undergraduate science students, to compare science related attitudes of science students with respect to cognitive learning styles, to find relationship of cognitive learning styles with science related attitude and academic achievement, to find relationship between science related attitude and academic achievement of undergraduate science students. The population of the study consisted of all undergraduate science students of basic sciences (physics, mathematics, and bio sciences), computer sciences, and engineering sciences (electrical and computer engineering) of public and private sector universities/Degree Awarding Institutes of Islamabad. For sample selection, stratified random sampling was used. The data was collected using demographic inventory, Hidden Figure Test (SHAPES) and convergent/divergent test. A self-developed science related attitude questionnaire was used to identify student’s science related attitude. The academic results of students were obtained from the respective universities/Degree awarding institutes. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. Frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used for data analysis. The hypotheses were tested using Chi-Square and t-tests at 5 percent level of significance. Results were presented in tabular and graphical form. The findings revealed that Field-Dependent and convergent cognitive learning style have been found the most prevailing cognitive learning styles of science students at undergraduate level. Moreover the Field-Independent and divergent learners have more science related attitude and academic achievement than other learners. The findings also revealed that cognitive learning styles have positive relationship with science related attitude and academic achievement. It has been recommended that teachers must use varied teaching methods and provide academic and career guidance to the students so that they can be motivated to develop more positive science related attitude towards the study of science and may improve their academic achievement.
