In this thesis modeling of the nanofluid flow problems in rotating system and its mathematical analysis with applications are presented. Mathematical models for nanofluid between two parallel plates in a rotating system are developed using different affects. First we examine the combined effect of magnetic and electric field on micropolar nanofluid between two parallel plates in a rotating system. The nanofluid flow between two parallel plates is taken under the influence of Hall current. The flow of micropolar nanofluid has been assumed in steady state. The rudimentary governing equations have been changed to a set of differential nonlinear and coupled equations using suitable similarity variables. An optimal approach has been used to acquire the solution of the modeled problems. The convergence of the method has been shown numerically. The impact of the Skin friction on velocity profile, Nusslet number on temperature profile and Sherwood number on concentration profile have been studied. The influences of the Hall currents, rotation, Brownian motion and thermophoresis analysis of micropolar nanofluid have been mainly focused in this work. Moreover, for comprehension the physical presentation of the embedded parameters have been plotted and deliberated graphically.Basic concept of fluid their types, governing equations, thermal conductivity, dimensionless numbers, applications and the methodologies which are used in later chapters are presented in chapter 0ne. Introduction, history, literature of the work is given in chapter two. In chapter four heat and mass transmission effects of non-Newtonian electrically conducting nanofluid flows, considering (third grad fluid) between two parallel plates with rotating system has been analyzed. The problem is demonstrated in such a way that the upper plate is static and the lower plate is stretched. The nanofluid flows of third grade fluid under the influence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion in a rotating system is the main goal of this study. The variation of the heat flux, mass flux and their effects on the temperature and concentration profiles have been analyzed numerically.Chapter five aims to examine the micropolar nanofluid flow of Casson fluid between two parallel plates in a rotating system with effects of thermal radiation. The effect of Hall current on the micropolar nanofluids have been taken into account. The flow of micropolar nanofluid has been assumed in steady state. The impact of the Hall current, Brownian motion and thermophoresis analysis of micropolar Casson nanofluid have been mainly focused in this work. Chapter six deals with Darcy-Forchheimer three-dimensional micropolar rotational nanofluid flow of single wall and multiwall carbon nanotubes base on the fluids (water, engine oil, ethylene glycol and kerosene oil). The nanofluid flow is examined between parallel and horizontal plates in a rotating system. The micropolar nanofluid in permeable media is designated by assuming the Darcy-Forchheimer model where drenching permeable space obeys the Darcy-Forchheimer expression. The thermal radiation impact is taken to be varying in the absorption/generation for the purpose, to see the concentration as well as the temperature modifications between the nanofluid and the surfaces. The impacts of the porosity, rotation and inertia coefficient analysis have been mainly focused in this research. Plots have been presented in order to examine how the velocities and temperature profile get affected by various flow parameters. In chapter seven a mathematical model is developed to examine the heat transmission performance of electrically conducting MHD flow of a Casson ferrofluid over a stretching sheet. The impact of embedded parameters on velocity, micro-rotation velocity, and temperature profiles have been shown graphically and discussed in detail. Conclusion of the research work is given with details in chapter eight.

Importance of Evidence of DNA in Perspective of Islamic Jurisprudence

DNA or Genetic fingerprinting technology is the topic of the day. It has revolutionized the forensic science. Islamic Jurisprudence has its own procedure and priorities of evidences, which mainly depend upon eyewitness, personal evidence and testimony. It was introduced in 1984. It is used in the identification of parentage, forensic sciences, treatment and diagnosis of diseases. The sequence of base pairs varies from person to person and the relativity of persons is identified by identifying the matching of base pairs. The Contemporary International Institutions of Collective Ijtih฀d have launched heavy discussions on this new evidence and reviewed relevant serious law making efforts based on it, which results in very valuable Fat฀w฀ and resolutions, regarding the use of DNA techniques, as evidence in criminal cases and its limitations and scope in Islamic Jurisprudence. This article discusses and concludes that the genetic fingerprinting technique should be used for the attestation of the cases related to it, along with the traditional way to acquire evidences, even though, it does not have self-sustaining priority, but depends upon other evidences for making a judicial verdict. Like other forensic evidences, it has also errors and intervening factors that limit its accuracy. Therefore, the decisions of crimes liable to ฀ud฀d, Qi฀฀฀ and Diyyat should not depend only upon DNA fingerprinting. Thus, we can say that in the absence of stipulated evidences, rebuking punishment may be sentenced on the basis the evidence of DNA.

Analysis of Current Research and Development R& D Mechanism and Preparation of a Model for Research and Development at University Level in Pakistan

This study titled, “Analysis of current research and development mechanism and preparation of a model for research and development at university level in Pakistan” was conducted with the objectives to (1) analyze the status of research and development at universities in Pakistan, (2), explore the existing research and development practices at universities in Pakistan (3) identify the problems faced by research & development center for its smooth functioning (4) find out the trends of research & development in Pakistani Universities, and (5) propose a model of research & development for Pakistani universities. The study was descriptive in nature; therefore survey approach was considered appropriate and adopted for its completion. The population of the study consisted of research supervisors, chairpersons and/ or heads of teaching departments, deans of faculties, concerned authorities of research & development centers and quality assurance cells from twenty three (23) public sector general universities in Pakistan. The multistage sampling based on three stages was adopted for study. The sample of the study consisted of thirty (30) respondents from each university including ten (10) research supervisors, five (05) chairpersons and/ or heads of teaching departments, five (05) deans of faculties, one (01) head and five (05) officials of the research & development center, and four (04) official working in quality assurance cells taken randomly from the population. Five (05) separate questionnaires were prepared on five point rating (likert) scale according to the objectives of the study were used as research tool. It was finalized after its pilot testing. After finalization of research tool the researcher personally administered research tool and collected data from the respondents. After data collection, it was coded in SPSS version 17 and statistically analyzed. The data analysis revealed diversified and interesting results. In overall 56.7% of the respondents appeared to be satisfied with current status of research & development council, whereas 51% of the respondents reported their dissatisfaction with its role in managing research activities to enhance the productivity. About half (50%) of the respondents affirmed appropriateness of planning process but 52% showed their otherwise opinion about implementation of the planning. Furthermore, the results indicated that 50.6% of the respondents were dissatisfied with the monitoring networks, 49.6 % of the respondents wished technical assistance and 54% disagreed with financial assistance provided by reseach and development council. Likewise, 52.9% desired feedback and 51% of xi them affirmed lack of coordination among activities. Half (50%) of the respondents reported their dissatisfaction with outcomes of the research & development process. However, significant majority (75.5%) of respondents were of the view that research & development mechanism faced some problems in universities and institutes of higher education in Pakistan –lengthy process, lack of expertise of different personnel involved in research and development activities, less priority given to R&D, lack of funds, personal liking and disliking, unstable policies, lack of coordination and lack of professional competencies among research and development personnel. Based findings a model of research & development (R & D) was proposed by the researcher for the public sector universities in Pakistan. This study also recommended that research & development mechanism in the public sector universities should be made simple by strengthening research and development councils in Pakistani universities. Research & development process should be given top priority in universities and proper budget should be allocated for research & development activities.
