Metal clusters play key role in chemical industry, nanotechnology and cellular biology. Chemical industry depends on the selection, development and application of catalysts. The most valuable catalysts used in these modern chemical industries consist of metal clusters. Introduction of a dopant atom in a metal cluster significantly enhances the catalytic activity. Moreover, in heterogeneous catalysis, the ability of metal cluster to react chemically with different molecular species totally depends on the size of the clusters. Bimetallic nano clusters have gained significant interest due to their specific and matchless structural, optical, electronic, and magnetic properties and their significance in nano technology and catalysis. Full range of bimetallic silver-yttrium AgnYm cluster of low nuclearity (n + m = 2-10) are studied using the density functional theory (DFT) at TPSSTPSS method with a Lanl2dz pseudopotential. The results for various properties including structural, ionization potential adiabetic, electron affinity, binding energy, HOMO-LUMO gap, average bond length, total energy, bond dissociation energy and 2nd order difference energy are evaluated as function of (n+m) size of the system. Moreover, the results for these bimetallic clusters are compared with pure silver and yttrium clusters. Different spin multiplicities of each cluster are also studied to locate the low energy structures. Cluster with higher nuclearity (n + m ≥7) favors three dimensional structure where clusters with low nuclearity (m + n ≤6) except (n + m = 5) favor two dimensional structure. Ag6 cluster also preferred planar 2D configuration. All pure silver clusters are more stable in low spin multiplicity, while pure yttrium clusters are more stable in higher spin multiplicity. Multiple bimetallic silver yttrium clusters have stability at varying spin state. Based on binding energy values the pure yttrium clusters are more stable than pure silver and bimetallic clusters. Density functional theory calculations have also been performed on pure silver (Agn), yttrium (Ym) and bimetallic silver yttrium clusters AgnYm (n+m = 2-10) for reactivity descriptors in order to find active sites for electrophilic and nucleophilic attack. The results illustrates that atoms in a stable ground state in a geometry can be categorized into different types of reactive sites. The reactivity of numerous sites as a function of cluster size and shape was thus investigated. The investigation reveals that the sizes and shapes of the pure silver, yttrium and bimetallic silver yttrium cluster (n = 2-10) influence the number and position of active sites for an electrophilic and/or nucleophilic attack. Doping of pure clusters with the other elements also influences the hardness, softness and chemical reactivity of the clusters. The softness increases as we increase the number of silver atoms in the cluster, whereas the hardness decreases. The chemical reactivity increases with silver doping whereas it decreases by yttrium doping. Silver atoms are nucleophilic in small clusters whereas, in large clusters, silver atoms are electrophilic in nature. The research here is designed at the investigation of new bimetallic clusters with distinctive electronic properties. These distinctive electronic properties comfort in finding new applications in electronic devices. Furthermore, these silver yttrium bimetallic clusters are expected to have improved catalytic activity which will assist industrial processes.

قاضی سجاد حسین صاحب کے انتقال سے ملت اسلامیہ ایک زبردست عالم دین ممتاز مفکر ومدبر سے محروم ہوگئی ہے۔کیونکہ قاضی صاحب بڑے ہی بلند اوصاف کے حامل انسان تھے وہ تصنع وبناوٹ سے قطعاً مبراتھے۔عرصہ دراز تک مدرسہ عالیہ فتح پوری دہلی میں شیخ الحدیث کی حیثیت سے خدمت دین میں منہمک و مشغول رہے۔عربی وفارسی کے جید عالموں میں ان کاشمار تھا۔حضرت مفکر ملّت مفتی عتیق الرحمن عثمانی کے ہمراہ ہی ۱۹۶۷ء میں انہیں فارسی زبان کے عالم کی حیثیت سے صدر جمہوریہ ہند ڈاکٹر ذاکر حسین صاحب کے ہاتھوں پدم شری ایوارڈ عطا کیا گیا۔مفتی صاحب مرحوم کوعربی اسکالر ایوارڈ دیا گیا تھا۔
قاضی صاحب حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمن عثمانی کے شاگرد خاص بھی تھے اور ساتھی بھی۔اکثر علمی اورقومی معاملات میں وہ حضرت مفتی صاحب سے مشورہ فرماتے اوران کے مشورے ورائے ہی کوا فضیلت واہمیت دیتے تھے۔
۱۹۵۴ء میں حضرت قبلہ مفتی صاحب نے راقم(عمید الرحمن عثمانی) کو حضرت قاضی سجاد حسین کی شاگردی میں سونپ دیا۔راقم نے قاضی صاحب سے فارسی کی کئی کتابیں پڑھیں اوران کی صحبت وشاگردی میں رہ کر کافی کچھ فیض و استفادہ حاصل کیا۔

Penerapan Keterampilan Proses Dasar Berbasis Lingkungan Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa

Tujuan penelitian Perbaikan Pembelajaran ini untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar Pembelajaran matematika dengan penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dasar berbasis lingkungan kelas VI SDN 156/III Tangil   Kabupaten Kerinci. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SDN 156/III Tangil   Kabupaten Kerinci berjumlah 16 orang Siswa. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan oleh peneliti berdasarkan model PTK yaitu kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dengan masing-masing siklus sebanyak 2 pertemuan. Pada siklus I aktivitas siswa diperoleh dengan rata-rata secara klasikal 62, 93% yang termasuk dalam kualifikasi Baik. Pada siklus 2 aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa 71, 16% dengan kualifikasi baik. Artinya terdapat peningkatan 6, 23%. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 1 dengan rata-rata yang diperoleh 60, 00 dengan kualifikasi cukup baik dan meningkat pada siklus 2 dengan rata-rata yang diperoleh 81, 94 dengan kualifikasi Baik. Artinya terdapat peningkatan sebanyak 21, 94. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dasar berbasis lingkungan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar pembelajaran matematika kelas VI SDN 156/III Tangil Kabupaten Kerinci.

Impact of Organizational Culture and Locus of Control on Turn over Intention with Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction

Turnover intention has gained substantial consideration from last few years and has been extensively studied because of its profound implications towards organizations. Retention of key employees has always remained a critical matter for organizations. Turnover intention's literature advocates many other factors which may influence the employee's decision to leave the organization. However, the factors that influence turnover intentions have been ignored in work stream. This attempts to investigate turnover intentions with three factors including locus of control, organizational culture, and job satisfaction. Initially, a deep understanding of the topic is developed after studying number of articles, books and other literature. A competing quantitative model is then developed where job satisfaction is considered as a mediating variable. Data was collected from a sample of 462 employees of telecom and pesticide industry. The proposed model was then tested using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). AMOS was used to identify best fit. As reported in this thesis, the proposed model has been modified according to fit indices. The results of the model illustrate that locus of control has significant impact whereas organizational culture does not have any significant impact on the turnover intentions.
