Modelling and simulation of molecular systems helps in understanding the behavioural mechanism of biological regulation. Time delays in production and degradation of expressions are important parameters in biological regulation. Constraints on time delays provide insight into the dynamical behaviour of a Biological Regulatory Network (BRN). A recently introduced Process Hitting (PH) Framework has been found efficient in static analysis of large BRNs, however, it lacks the inference of time delays and thus determination of the constraints associated with the evolution of expression levels of biological entities of BRN is not possible. In this thesis, we propose a Hybrid Process Hitting scheme for introducing time delays in Process Hitting Framework for dynamical modelling and analysis of Large Biological Regulatory Networks. It will provide valuable insights into the time delays corresponding to the changes in the expression levels of biological entities thus possibly helping in identification of therapeutic targets. The proposed framework is applied to a well-known BRNs of Bacteriophage λ and ERBB Receptor-regulated G1/S transition involved in the breast cancer to demonstrate the viability of our approach. Using the proposed approach, it was possible to perform goal-oriented reduction of the BRN and also determine the constraints on time delays characterizing the evolution (dynamics) of the reduced BRN. The proposed Hybrid Process Hitting methodology is applied to a considerably large BRN of Apoptosis Pathway comprising of 90 entities for obtaining the dynamical properties of this pathway. The determination of constraints on time delays corresponding to the evolution of entities for the reduced BRN (entities involving feedbacks) was successfully computed using the new methodology. The chemical reactions as well as the biological interactions are all stochastic in nature and could, therefore, assume any rate of change within the range of delays determined through Hybrid Modeling. The same has thus been extended to Stochastic Modeling using Stochastic Petri Nets (SPNs) in which the random delay in firing of the transitions aptly captures the stochastic behaviour of changes in expression levels of genes. The proposed scheme was found to be more efficient than existing methodology and less computationally intensive. It was applied to the mucus production in Pseudomonas Aeruginosa BRN and results obtained from Stochastic Petri Nets are in agreement with the Hybrid Modeling results which establishes the accuracy of this approach as well as provide more insight in the dynamical behaviour of BRNs through simulation.

جوحضرات دارالعلوم دیوبند سے عموماً اورحضرت الاستاذ مولانامحمد انورشاہ الکشمیری سے خصوصاً تعلق ورابطہ رکھتے ہیں، اُن کویہ معلوم کرکے بڑاصدمہ ہوگا کہ پچھلے دنوں مولانا محمد بن موسیٰ میاں سملکی کاانتقال جوہانسبرگ (جنوبی افریقہ) میں ہوگیا، موصوف گجرات کے ایک نہایت معزز اورمتمول خاندان کے چشم وچراغ تھے، اﷲ تعالیٰ نے اس خاندان کودولت اور دین دونوں نعمتوں سے مالا مال کیاہے، چنانچہ تجارت کے سلسلہ میں یہ خاندان ایک عرصہ سے جوہانسبرگ میں مقیم ہے اوردین داری کے تقاضہ سے اس خاندان کو دارالعلوم دیوبند اوراس کے اکابر سے دیرینہ وپختہ عقیدت و ارادت مندی کا تعلق رہا ہے، اسی تعلق کا نتیجہ تھاکہ مرحوم دارالعلوم دیوبند آئے، اورچند سال رہ کر علومِ دینیہ و اسلامیہ کی تحصیل وتکمیل کی۔راقم الحروف بھی اس زمانہ میں دیوبند میں زیرِ تعلیم تھا اور مرحوم ہم درس وخواجہ تاش تھے۔ مرحوم کا مقصد صرف رسمی طور پر پڑھنا پڑھ لینا نہیں تھا بلکہ روحانی اوراخلاقی تعلیم وتربیت حاصل کرنا بھی تھا،اس لیے اوقاتِ درس کے علاوہ وہ حضرات اکابر کی خدمت میں حاضر رہتے اوراُن کافیضِ صحبت اُٹھاتے تھے۔اس سلسلہ میں اُن کو حضرت شاہ صاحب ؒ سے خاص تعلق پیدا ہوا، جس نے بڑھتے بڑھتے یہ صورت اختیار کرلی کہ گویا مرحوم حضرت الاستاذ کے خاندان کے ایک فرد ہی تھے۔ اُن کو حضرت کے ساتھ صرف عقیدت وارادت نہیں بلکہ درحقیقت عشق تھا، اور اس تعلق کی بناپر حضرت الاستاذ کے تمام تلامذۂ خصوصی کے ساتھ بھی اُن کا معاملہ اور برتاؤ بالکل برادرانہ تھا۔ قدرت نے انہیں سب کچھ دے رکھاتھا،اس لیے انھوں نے خود حضرت ؒ کی زندگی میں آپ کی اور آپ کی وفات کے بعد آپ کے متعلقین کی دل وجان سے عمربھر وہ خدمت کی کہ کسی شاگرد نے کم کسی استاد کی ایسی خدمت کی...

Pengaruh Kompensasi dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT. Enseval Putera Megatrading cabang Pekanbaru menurut Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah

This research is motivated by the ups and downs in the quality of employee performance at PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Pekanbaru Branch from 2020 to 2022. Based on the formulation of the problems that have been made, this study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work environment on employee performance at PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Pekanbaru Branch This research is a type of quantitative research. The sample used in this study were employees of PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Pekanbaru Branch as many as approximately 52 people. Sampling technique by means of Simple Random Sampling. With data collection through observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature studies. The analysis technique in this study uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. This study uses multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS Ver program. 21.00. The results of this study, compensation has a positive effect on employee performance. This is evident from the results of the t test which obtained t count X1 greater than t table, namely the value of t count (7.467) greater than t table (2.010) accepted at a significance level of 5%. The work environment has a positive effect on employee performance. This is evident from the results of the t test which obtained the t count X2 greater than the t table, namely the t value (7.484) greater than the t table (2.010), accepted at the 5% significance level. Compensation and work environment together have a positive effect on employee performance. This is evident from the results of the F test which shows the results of the F count of (415.672) greater than the F table of (3.19) accepted at the 5% significance level. Islamic economic review of the effect of compensation and work environment on employee performance at PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Pekanbaru branch can be categorized as sharia based on ijarah contract.

Enhancement on Science Teachers Pedagogical Content Knowledge

Pedagogical content knowledge (Shulman 1986, 1987) is a knowledge base for teachers to learn to teach subject matter knowledge effectively. Gaining depth in pedagogical content knowledge leads teachers to the three perspective areas of teacher development that is, personal, social, and professional. Teacher development could take place more effectively through collaborative actions. A collaborative action research strategy under the qualitative research paradigm was undertaken to explore the ways to enhance the science teachers' pedagogical content knowledge. In order to gain understanding in depth of teachers' existing teaching practices, and to explore the possible ways of enhancement of pedagogical content knowledge following tools of data collection were used: field notes, semi-structured interviews, reflections of teachers and audiotape recordings of post conferences. In this study two teachers were involved, one from the primary and one from the lower secondary including myself. The study has revealed encouraging and promising insights of teachers' enhancement of pedagogical content knowledge and teacher development. The collaborative actions helped the teachers to reflect critically upon their teaching practices in order to teach subject matter more effectively. It helped the teachers to look more critically at the processes of students' learning of science, curriculum development, and knowledge of the environment. The study shared some key areas for teachers to enhance their ways of learning. This study illustrates that teachers can become teacher researchers if they are given support and opportunities at their workplaces.
