Introduction: Urinary tract infections (UTI) are the common medical problem affecting children that lead to frequent clinic visit and hospitalization. Undiagnosed, untreated UTI may lead to renal scoring, hypertension and end stage renal disease, early detection and treatment of UTI in children must be prompt. Objective: To isolate the causative organisms causing UTI among children of 0-5 years of age and to determine the antibiotic susceptibility of the isolated microorganisms. Methodology: Clinical data and outcome were prospectively analyzed for 140 patients with confirmed diagnosis of urinary tract infection (UTI) based on urine culture and sensitivity report. The data collected from June to August 2015 and the study done on Afghan children who were aged between 0 to 5 years included data of outpatients and admitted patients came to clinic at FMIC Kabul Afghanistan. Results: A total of one hundred and forty (n=140) children aged 0 to 5 years with UTI were included in this study. Out of 140 patients, 94 (67.14%) were female, while 46 (32.82%) were male. Escherichia coli (E.coli) were the most common isolated uropathogen. out of 89 cases of E.coi; 62.14 % cases showed their highest sensitivity to Augmentin, Aminoglycosides and third generation cephalosporin while, 37.86% exhibited their extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) properties which, showed their highest sensitivity to Amikacine, Fosfomycine and Imipenem. The second common uropathogen was Klebsiella pneumonia 7.86% followed by Serratia odorifera 7.14%, Enterococcus 5.71%, Proteus 6.46% and others 9.29%. Conclusion: Culture conformation and proper treatment of the organisms causing UTI in children is the key to success. E.coli is the leading uropathogen which showed its highest 7 sensitivity to Augmentin, Amino glycosides and third generation cephalosporin which are still the most suitable agents for empiric therapy in pediatric UTI. At the hospital setting, E-coli and Klebsiella pneumonia were the organisms that exhibited extended spectrum Beta- lactamase (ESBL) properties which revealed that, resistance to commonly used antibiotics is on the rise. The treatment recommendations of community acquired uropathogen should be based on individual urine culture conformation and sensitivity result.

اسلام میں شعر و شاعری کا تصور

The position of poetry remained unchanged in Islam as it was before Islam, however with due some changes it was used as a weapon for the sake of Islam. This article will explain that how the poetry played a vital role in preaching of Islam. Islam absolutely encourages good wholesome poetry, which inspires one towards the fear of Allah, towards His awe and obedience, and towards anything that is good and made permissible by Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ). Following discussions are made in this article: Firstly Qur’anic views towards poetry; as the word poet came in Qur’an four times while the word poetry once. The total verses in which we see the word poetry are six. Secondly preaching of ethics through poetry; as we see that before Islam the Arab society was without any ethics, the Muslim poet called them for an exemplary life like of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) Using of Qur’anic notion in poetry. Thirdly the Qur’anic notion was used largely in the beginning of Islam, especially by Ḥassān bin Thābit, ʻAbdullāh Bin Rawāḥah, Kaʻb Bin Zubayr and Nābighah Al Jaʻdī etc. Fourthly Answer to non-believers through poetry; as Ḥassān bin Thābit did through his poetry, and answer to the opposition, which impacts more sharp than sword and lastly using of Poetry during the war; it was considered as one of the biggest source for encouraging towards holly wars, the example of Haḍrat Khansā is most prominent. The research article basically focuses upon the importance of poetry in Islam, moreover how the weapon of poetry has been used by Islamic poets for defending Islam and how Islamic poetry vastly used for spreading of golden teachings of Islam.

Physical Chemical and Biological Treatment of Rice Husk to Improve its Untritive Value

Pakistan is mainly an agriculture country. Livestock is an integral part of the Agricultural economy unfortunately Livestock in Pakistan is producing for below its full potential. The main reason this poor performance is the shortage of fodder quantitatively and qualitative. Therefore, to overcome the shortage of green fodder, we have to export the conventional and nonconventional sources of feed. Pakistan is one of the major producer of rice in Asia, that’s shy rice husk which is a by-product of rice threshing process in frequently and cheaply available. In this study we study this underutilized source, by applying various treatments, evaluating their impact on husk topology and itsimpart on husk topology and its impact on ruminant feeding. In the first two experiments, the rice husk was subjected to acid, alkali, and water treatment at various temperature and concentration, we found a significant effect of temperature on rice husk (P>0.001). Whereas concentration in case of alkali treatment produced significant results (P?0.001). Topology of rice husk 4 bond specific bond vibrations was studied with the help of FT/IR and scanning electron microscopy. Electron micrographs showed swelling and even cracking of the epidermises. FT/IR results demonstrate a change in the absorbance in the polysaccharide bonding region. The third experiments deals with the enhancement of nutritive value of rice husk by SSF using Pleurotusflonda. Experiment shows significant increase in the CP and decrease in the total lignin content (P> 0001. Finally in the fourth experiment a ration having 20% differently procured husk were feeded to the small ruminant (Lohi Sheep) and the an average weekly weight gain comparable feed intake and FCR were found comparable with control. The data was analyzed using Mintab version 20:01. It is concluded that improving the quality of certain under utilized agricultural residue can minimize the feed gap in Pakistan. Rice husk is a valuable and acceptable source of fed for ruminant and there is need to educate the small farmer to break this myth.
