This Participatory Action Research (PAR) was an attempt to facilitate educational leaders in developmental Emotional Intelligence (EI) and practicing it in their context by facilitating and enhancing the dynamics of their emotional energy. Four departmental heads (Managers) in an educational organization in Karachi, Pakistan, were engaged as participants in this action research. Research consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection as a cyclic process. This research has given me a deeper and richer understanding of how adults feel and a fresh appreciation for them. It has helped me, as a leader, educator, facilitator and researcher, to be more empathetic, self-aware, and self-motivated, and a socially-skilled well being, and to be in change of my emotions. There were some facilitating factors which helped me and research participants (RPs) in EI enhancement in the duration of this participatory action research. First of all, emotional literacy, EI awareness and knowledge from literature are crucial to increase emotional energy. Relevant reading materials, presentations and discussions with real examples were helping factors for developing emotional intelligence. Overall achievements in the post-self evaluation designate a heartening message to the research participants and research facilitator, as their scores on various sub-components of EI moved up considerably. Secondly, self-evaluation checklists were representing the participants' real self actual (as triangulated through other data sources). This research study revealed that EI can be learnt gradually through regular practicing and reflecting on daily experiences, giving and receiving feedback frankly, self-talk, reading other's faces and empathy, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of oneself and of others, and creating a positive emotional environment. Moreover, EI is more than IQ for life success, and it helps in becoming effective leaders. It can be developed through different ways and strategies, for instance, by enhancing real self-awareness, managing emotions in an appropriate way, increasing social skills and motivation.

Constitutional Provisions for the Rights of Non-Muslim Minorities in Pakistan

Pakistan is a Muslim country and got freedom from British Government, on August 14, 1947. It was separated from India on the basis of Islamic ideology. Though majority of population was Muslims but there was sufficient number (5%) of non Muslims, such as Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Calashes’, Baha’is, Zikaria’s, and Parsis etc.  The presence of non Muslims in Pakistan was a great challenge to safe guard their rights in the constitution of Pakistan to maintain the communal harmony in the country. This paper focuses on the provisions of non-Muslim rights in the constitution of Pakistan. It discusses the constitutional provision for the rights of non Muslims. Such as personal law, freedom to religion, safe guard against special taxes, non discrimination in respect of access to public places, discrimination in services, preservation of language script and culture, promotion of social justice and predication of social evils, right to vote,   reservation of seats in National assembly and to run and manage their religious institutions. This paper also suggests some recommendations for the solution of contemporary non Muslim minorities, problems in Pakistan and also achievement of Ministry of non Muslim Minorities Affairs, 2008 to 2010 in Pakistan.

Transient Non-Thermal Mobility in Surface Subsurface Hetrogeneous Catalytic Reaction: Computer Simulation

To study the effect of transient non-thermal mobility in surface-subsurface heterogeneous catalytic reaction, simulation work has been done for CO-O2 and CO- NO catalytic reaction on different surfaces. One class of transient non-thermal mobility of species includes Ely-Rideal (ER) mechanism. The first simple lattice gas model was introduced by Ziff, Gulari and Barshad, as a computer simulation model and is known as the ZGB model, which was used to study CO- O2 reaction system. It has been found through simulation that ER mechanism generates features in the ZGB model that brings it closer to the real system. The Consideration of ER mechanism annihilates second order phase transition of the ZGB model and the reaction rate begins to increase as soon as feed concentration CO departs from zero, which is consistent with the experimental results. The other class of transient non-thermal mobility is precursor mechanism. This mechanism adds some additional features in the phase diagram of a particular catalytic reaction, which could not be observed by considering the Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanism. In the precursor mechanism, three different ranges of the surface environment have been investigated. Each environment consists of specific pattern for set of sites around the striking site. It is observed that the reactive window depends on the mobility of the precursors. It is also observed that when the probability of the precursor is increased, the production rates increases. Furthermore, the simulation is also performed to investigate the effect of diffusion of CO on the ZGB model. It has been found that the effect of diffusion of CO on the ZGB model is to increase the mobility of CO on the surface and hence the reaction rate increases with the result that the transition point y2 shifts towards higher concentration of CO. However, the effect of diffusion of CO has no effect on the second order phase transition point y1. The effect of diffusion of CO and N (atom) for CO-NO catalytic reaction has also been studied on BCC lattice. The effect of diffusion of CO and N on the production rates is found in the high concentration of CO. This mechanism is found responsible for slight increase in the window width where the concentration of CO is high. Through these models some experimental results have been reproduced of the real system.
